  1. Has anyone played Portal: Revolution? It's some Portal 2 mod that's supposed to have like 40 new chambers and it's free so obviously I'm going to play that.
  2. Just another reason to hate the switch, as it once again delayed the inevitable of the Nintendo catalogue being actually available on PC
  3. Pretty fair (but long) review https://youtu.be/reQKHNg0jh8?si=vqVmYyI77BbHlQ07
  4. Spotify decided to give Joe Rogan another $250 million Anyway, I downloaded TIDAL today no reason
  5. Career Mode and Create A Fighter launch on February 12th, and it's also been announced that will be the last major update of early access. Everything else will be small polish and then official full release 1.0. As someone that's been on Undisputed since a very early time in early access, I won't claim there haven't been points in the ride that have been bumpy, but I still think there's plenty of reason for optimism that we're finally getting a proper high end boxing title again. At least unlike fucking EA and the UFC we're getting an honest effort out of these guys.
  6. The Day Before - A Scam to Remember https://youtu.be/tdQXfXm8rjg?si=mUTh6PDdjVmpVhjX
  7. You really do need to get a bit creative with some of the adventures, especially right out of the gate where you have limited options. Vamprie Survivors is nuts for how good it is at that price point.
  8. I don't know about that but it's pretty clear that certain holding companies jumped into the industry expecting an easy source of income to feed to the Already Too Rich Assholes, and clearly as a whole wildly underestimated the production cycle for large scale video game projects.
  9. There was some executive at Ubisoft who very recently was quoted as saying that "people need to get used to not owning the games they pay for", which is just laughably evil to a comic book villain degree. Anyway, Skull & Bones releases soon so there's going to be even more cuts and layoffs in the industry soon, AAA is going well.
  10. There is at this point a very real chance that there will be more layoffs in the video game industry by the end of March this year than there were in all of 2023.
  11. Triple H claiming he hasn't even read the lawsuit might be the biggest lie he's ever told and that's saying something.
  12. My very first NES game was Gyromite, now that's obscure. I got the box they did with the R.O.B. and the Light Gun that came with Gyromite and Duck Hunt. I unironically love the R.O.B.
  13. I will be honest I think the last game I bought a physical copy of was Skyrim. There are a few really cool collector's editions out there but they tend to be priced to the moon, so
  14. Everything about it that I've seen reads as absolutely classic sexual predator stuff. Find someone down on their luck, befriend and groom them into thinking they have no choice but to comply with you, etc etc. The thing beyond all that which baffles me is the implication that this broke due to Vince stopping his payments to the woman resulting in the NDA being null and void. How big is your ego? Christ. What a piece of shit.
  15. As I said the other day already in another thread, I miss when the future was machines doing manual labour so humans could do creative endeavours. Not the other way around we are absolutely getting. I was so optimistic for the possible uses of AI just a couple years ago but it's quickly becomming just another gross tool that helps the rich get richer and screws actual creative people. Anyway, there are good people out there doing their best to poison AI theft of art, at least. https://venturebeat.com/ai/nightshade-the-free-tool-that-poisons-ai-models-is-now-available-for-artists-to-use/
  16. It figures the year I stop letting the Oilers influence my mood in any way, they finally get good lol
  17. I preferred the future where the robots did manual labour and humans did the creative endeavours, not the other way around that we're getting.
  18. The big thing about OOT that always bugged me was how literally nothing happens on the overworld during the daytime. That just always felt weird to me.
  19. I don't really get all the backlash for Sting against the Young Bucks as his last match. First of all I don't need a message board to tell me Sting picked his own opponents. Second of all honestly they are probably the best choice for doing a match where like half of it is non-physical bullshit that Sting can still do at 64. Thirdly it's an easy match writes itself where Darby plays Ricky Mordon for like 10 minutes and then you get the hot tag to Sting for the big finish.
  20. I never actually had super metroid as a kid, and coming to it as an adult it's a great game but I find it really fucking hard for whatever reason. The double Zelda + Super Metroid randomizer is so totally wild. Apparently the reason it works is that Zelda and Metroid just don't access the same memory addresses at all for whatever reason, so it's technically possible to hold all the info from both games at once without breaking anything. The best theory I've heard as to why is that maybe Nintendo planned one of those 2-game special carts at some point but never went through with it. If it's not that, it's just the oddest piece of random luck ever.
  21. As far as classic Zeldas go I still rate the SNES one as the best but I'm a little biased because a few years ago I got deep into the Link to the Past Randomizer for a while, which is a fucking awesome little piece of tech that has a pretty active little community doing races and whatnot on twitch. I played it a lot until I pulled off a run where I beat the game in under 2 and a half hours and that was all I really needed to prove to myself with it.
  22. I am basically playing nothing but Total Warhammer 3 lately and me being me, I've done a fuckton of modding. I'm now curating a one stop for everything mod collection on Steam for those that want to play the Immortal Empires Expanded mod, if like 370 factions in one game seems like your jam. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3133534717&savesuccess=1
  23. I think (other than the Japangrish translation that is a product of the times) the OG Zelda is a masterpiece that is so far ahead of its time it's not even funny.
  24. I want to love Castlevania 2 so much. I think it's a failure, in the end. But it's a really interesting one.
