  1. This is exactly the type of perfect train wreck we all need
  2. and the fact he thinks its funny to announce that the Tuck Rule might've been the wrong call. Yeah, i am a Raiders guy.
  3. That promo was building to an angle, using inside information for a build. AEW has always been a "smark" company so Hangman went to the well. Was it right?wrong? Who can tell, but to say someone went into business or themselves, against a guy who's made a living going into business for themselves is a reach. I'm not going to go into the back and forth of "who was right, who was wrong", but Punk not addressing it backstage only to come out and do a shoot call out when he knew he wouldn't be answered, then do a press scrum when he wants "Anyone who has a problem come knock on my door"..........then someone knocks on his door and he freaks out. I don't like Punk but c'mon, there is no way the Buck are intimidating Punk. I might be wrong, but i stand by my thought that Punk had a problem with Omega/Bucks and decided to go after Hangman because he is the least confrontational. Page tried to build a match with no build, Punk was the one who had a temper tantrum and proved everything Page said right. What hill I will die on is that there no fucking way Punk shouldve ever pinned Page in that match. I won't even touch the rumored "i wont lay down for Page" Punk rumors on that one.
  4. I absolutely want to second the fact that while I'm not a huge fan of the Bucks, their big matches are unbelievable.
  5. hahahaha, what?! You mean to tell me that the guy who made his name on breaking the 4th wall, couldn't handle a PG esque "attack" on him? With all due respect, get the fuck outta here. Like someone stated prior, Page's promo was prophetic because everything he said that was taken issue with was made true. I might be naive, but there are a lot of malicious malcontents in wrestling, i dont think Hangman is one of them. There are also a lot of thin skinned primadonnas in wrestling, and i think CM Punk leads that charge.
  6. I'll forever die on the hill that Hangman was the only professional one out of all of them. Part of me thinks that Punk went after Hangman because he knew he could when his real issues were with the rest of the Elite. Hangman doesn't want confrontation, dude just wants to wrestle, put on some awesome matches and go on about his day. The more I mull on that, the more I dislike Punk(which i didn't think was possible), because he tried going after the "Easiest" part of the Elite and then bit off more than he could chew because he's an arrogant, self absorbed asshole. I don't miss him at all, though despite my personal feelings on him, the MJF feud was just amazing from beginning to end and im glad we at least got that before he imploded.
  7. You know, I hope all of this is building to Willow being the one to give Jade her first loss. It just feels right.
  8. Nyla Rose needs to be on TV every single week.
  9. if Nick Gage shows up on Monday Night Raw in any capacity, i throw my wrestling bingo card out of the window.
  10. Just need CM Punk release news to follow (Though I know he was said to have a backstage role, which is pathetic IMO, dude is a cancer)
  11. I know Bray isn't the most popular guy here, but I love the guy. I think he understands something about wrestling that not a lot of people truly get and that's just the spectacle/pageantry of it all. He's never going to be the best in between the ropes but i don't think there has ever been a creative mind like his. He's established an entire mythology around every incarnation of his characters and blended them all together. I really can't wait to see what he does. I spent that entire promo wondering if it was "real" or part of it all and that's awesome. It was both. That was a genuine heartfelt promo from a guy who obviously went through it over the past year and then it ended with an "angle" so he got to sincerely say thank you to fans while not killing the mystique of what he was trying to do. I'm really damn glad he's back, and the reactions he is getting are incredible. I have far more faith in HHH than I did with Vince with knowing what to do with Bray and after what Vince did to his characters, I don't think he would've come back unless he had that sense too.
  12. One of these days I'm going to get a Butcher and the Blade win on Dynamite and/or Rampage. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy them having good to great matches. I think Butcher has a far higher ceiling than Blade (a sentiment I've seen shared by many people here), but I feel like they should've gotten some high profile W's, or a short tag run. and more Nyla on my TV, the better.
  13. You know, I don't agree with you on the Cole/Bucks thing 100%, but I absolutely see where you're coming from with them. Especially Cole. I just don't understand how he's so over with the live crowds or honestly understand him at all. The Bucks, I said in another thread, I love some of their matches, and two of them (Page/Omega v Bucks and Lucha Bros/Bucks cage match) I'd put in the pantheon of some of AEW's best, but nothing about them makes me want to seek them out.
  14. Only in the eyes of an overrated manchild who got mad someone made "mean" comments about him. (Natural has Hogan, Just Drew has Cole/Bucks......I have CM Punk, lol)
  15. Jey needs an award for keeping a stone cold straight face during all of this. (I don't know if he's broken character, but considering the story of it all, ill give that man one or five cracks without counting it)
  16. I don't think it can be stated enough how the Sami/Bloodline thing is one of the best things in wrestling in years. It's so just amazing on so many levels.
  17. What an incredible performance by Considine in that last episode. Wow.
  18. Say what you will about Hangman, his in-ring, his booking, his title reign, but when you need him to hit a promo, he hits an homerun. The only other person I can say that about right now is Moxley
  19. When talking about good J-Lo movies, Money Train is right there.
  20. I was at a Philly show and was shockingly let down at the selection. I ended up just grabbing a hat and a Dustin Rhodes figure. I got tickets to Rampage/Full Gear so I'm hoping that I can pickup something.
  21. You know, you're 100% right that the Bucks have awesome matches. I'd easily put their cage match with Lucha Bros and the Tag match against Omega/Hangman in my top 20 AEW matches of all time, but for some reason, i don't actively "seek" their matches out. It might be my personal taste/bias showing. I do wholeheartedly agree with you that while I would love to see Omega back ASAP, im not exactly hurting if he doesn't come back anytime soon. The depth of this roster, once a maligned and mocked aspect of AEW, is now showing how big of a strength it and I'm loving it. They've lost Black, Omega, Bucks, Punk in short order and haven't missed a beat and matter of fact, i think they shows seem more focused and less disjointed.
  22. Elite propaganda machine? I see no one actively wanting the Bucks back? Personally, the only one out of the 4 I want back is Omega, has nothing to do with a propaganda machine, it's the bed that Punk made.
  23. I'm not sure what will be better, Wyatt finally coming back or watching people whine about it.
