  1. I'm glad Paige finally turned, because the frenemies thing was stupid, but I wish she'd stop saying "this is my house." She sounds ridiculous. Happy to see I'm not the only one enjoying Miz currently. It's exactly what he needed to be doing all along.
  2. I think getting trounced by Cena really hurt Bray's credibility. Before that he'd been made to look invincible, even going over Bryan, but since then both him and his followers have been jobbed out and made to look weak.
  3. Flair and Cena got over based on booking and their mic skills, not managers or props. I have never seen a good Del Rio promo and I keep hearing here that if he had Rodriguez and came out in a car it would fix everything, but he had both of those things well after the fans stopped caring. The true fault lies, as you said, with how weak the booking is across the board right now.
  4. I fail to see how anything about Del Rio would be different if Rodriguez were there and he were to arrive in a vehicle now. He's playing the same character either way. And it sucks whether they spend thousands of dollars a week on a rental car or not.
  5. Who? When? Where can I watch? You don't know who Ricochet is? I don't either. The majority of wrestling fans don't know who Ricochet is.
  6. Maybe if you started watching in 1997 and stopped in 98. Nah. Crow Sting is by far the most well known version of the character because it is the only time post-80's that he was booked well, and it happened at a time when WCW was at the height of its popularity. Imagine the 2K15 commercial with Surfer Sting instead. Does it seem stupid? That's because it would have been.
  7. Yeah, y'all stop derailing the wrestling discussion thread with all this wrestling discussion. I think Bravo was actually a face for most of his career and only turned heel for the WWF run. One Man Gang might actually be the right answer, unless I'm unaware of a face run somewhere.
  8. UltraMantis Black's hardcore band just got some love from SPIN, and they're streaming a song. http://www.spin.com/articles/ultramantis-black-pissed-jeans-biomonster-DNA-video/
  9. I know Aimee Mann has done a whole lot of critically acclaimed stuff I don't care about since, but this is easily the best thing she's ever done:
  10. Barbarian? One Man Gang/Akeem? Powers of Pain were faces when they came to WWE, and Barb was a face again later as half of the New Headshrinkers. "Some old guy" is the answer, but qualifying it to people that worked the Big 3 makes it more challenging. And do we know that Steamboat worked heel? Because I was under the impression that he was the answer to the opposite question.
  11. You think Heyman's going to pay for his medical expenses? He almost certainly still owes him money for the dates themselves.
  12. That is a big fat middle finger to physically fucked up veterans of wrestling. Wow. (Please, make a joke about how you are a physically fucked up veteran of wrestling too - keep the show going.) I hope y'all get to chill with Sabu sometime. It'll be a "oh shit, I said some dumb shit on the internet" moment of shame. (edit: ps. GIF even has a fucking WWE logo. COME ON.) I think you're being a tad overdramatic. Nobody said anything they should be ashamed of - the assertion that Vince should pay for the medical bills of everyone that ever appeared on WWE programming is kind of silly - WWE already does more than they have to. For example, Sabu could go into rehab for any drug issues he might have and Vince would pay for that.
  13. I hope if Rollins is injured he uses the time off to come up with a finisher that doesn't rely on his opponents helpfully getting onto all fours for him. And I fail to see how it's WWE's fault that Barrett keeps using the several opportunities he's had to go and get himself injured.
  14. I don't get the hate for this show. I thought Reigns did great in that opening segment. The crowd definitely ate it up. Finlay eating a spear was awesome. Wyatt's promos against Jericho have been more entertaining than anything he's done since before Wrestlemania. Bo running over Torito was the highlight of the show. Even Miz has been very enjoyable. Still don't know what they're trying to do with the Fandango/Summer/Layla triangle, though.
  15. How do you write the saddest song on a concept album about working in a cancer ward? Throw in a song about abortion: "We'll make only quick decisions, and you'll just keep me in the waiting room, and all the while I'll know we're fucked and not getting unfucked soon, When we get home we're bigger strangers than we've ever been before, You sit in front of snowy television, suitcase on the floor."
  16. Bryan's injured. Why would you expect him to be physically involved in anything? The right guy went over in the main event and I don't see an argument for a different result - Reigns, Cesaro, and Wyatt just aren't ready, and any of the other four winning would have been shit on for 14 pages too.
  17. I seriously doubt he was embarrassed, he references wrestling on his show. I got the impression he was just trying to watch the show incognito without a bunch of people coming up to him.
  18. I don't have an order for these yet. The War On Drugs - Lost In The Dream ("Eyes To The Wind") Future Islands - Singles ("Sun In The Morning") Sun Kil Moon - Benji ("I Can't Live Without My Mother's Love") Nothing - Guilty Of Everything ("Guilty Of Everything") The Men - Tomorrow's Hits ("Settle Me Down") Jessica Lea Mayfield - Make My Head Sing... ("Oblivious") Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Only Run ("As Always") Sharon Van Etten - Are We There ("Your Love Is Killing Me") The Antlers - Familiars ("Palace") Cloud Nothings - Here And Nowhere Else ("I'm Not Part Of Me") Songs I've loved not on the above albums: Tigers Jaw - "Slow Come On" Real Estate - "Talking Backwards" PAWS - "Someone New" Against Me! - "Black Me Out" Manchester Orchestra - "Trees" Every Time I Die - "Thirst" Tokyo Police Club - "Argentina (Parts I, II, III)"
  19. I'm mildly horrified that this is actually an opinion.
  20. It was never said that Bob Sacamano lived in the same building as Jerry and Kramer. The "weird guy across the hall" is Kramer.
  21. Did you try the website? I hear they also have hats.
  22. ...but how could anyone?
  23. I read that as "heel diva" for some reason, possibly because Iggy's recent (and spot on) remarks about Lorde having no business being a part of the Nirvana Rock and Roll Hall of Fame deal.
  24. Not exactly - Cody blamed himself for the losses, said Goldie needed a better partner, Goldie teams with jobbers for a couple of weeks until the big Stardust reveal last night. Has everyone seen all the Devitt cosplay/not cosplay photos they need to? Because that would be a great discussion to never have again.
