  1. The Knicks are back! They sure are! http://nypost.com/2014/02/25/knicks-raymond-felton-being-questioned-by-cops/ And then later...(Via Twitter) "Felton was arrested on the Upper West Side for criminal possession of a weapon. Faces 2nd, 3rd and 4th degree charges, according to a source" - From the aforementioned Chris Herring from above.
  2. At least the WWE turned down the crowd while they were singing "Walk" on Anarchy Rulz 99, although it could have worked with Rob Van Dam's original WWE theme.
  3. So far, I have tried to the two "biggest" shows which you would remember Chris Benoit on, and there hasn't been a disclaimer on either. (I believe I read something to the effect of having a disclaimer appear on any show which he might appear.)
  4. Damn, they've lost Tara Ried (current day), Darius Rucker, Winona Ryder (rehab years), fat Miz, and Phoebe from the Romanian version of FRIENDS. They're basically fucked. The guy in the Tigers hat looked way more like Jose Lima than Darius Rucker to me.
  5. I think that one of the bigger markets would have had a better shot to get him than the Cavs. Also, that Grizzlies team won 50 games that season, if you add LeBron to the starting lineup, they could have been a pseudo-contender out west. They would just need to sure up the power forward position since they had Stromile Swift and Bo Outlaw playing for them.
  6. What if the Grizzlies end up with the first pick in 2003 instead of the Cavs? There is probably no "decision," and LeBron probably leaves after his rookie deal with the Grizzlies. The Cavs, likely, end up with Carmelo, and this pushes Darko down to Denver. (I am probably giving Jim Paxson way too much credit in that he would pick Carmelo over Darko.)
  7. They all leave for south beachPerhaps, but I think, especially with Wade, it would have completely altered the mid '00's NBA. Miami doesn't win a title if Wade is in Detroit, and the Pistons, bolstered by a Billups/Hamilton/Wade/Wallace/Wallace starting 5 and Prince as 6th man, without Miami to compete with them for the top spot in the East, may very well have won 3 in a row, given that the two years after their title win ended with a game 7 loss in the finals to San Antonio, and a loss in the ECF to Miami. Plus, they have more firepower for the Cavs and Celtics series the following two years. But Larry Brown was still the coach so that starting 5 doesn't have Wade in it the first year since Brown didn't play rookies They won the title that year anyway, though. I think the issue with the "Darko over X" argument is that I am not sure Larry Brown does much different than what he did that season. He rarely played rookies, and I am not sure how much Bosh or Carmelo end up playing, and they may have been sent out in that Rasheed Wallace trade anyway. On top of that, who is to say the Pistons still end up winning the 2004 title? A big portion of that title was won on Tayshaun Prince's defense, and if he isn't there I am not sure they beat the Lakers without him guardng Kobe for the bulk of the series.
  8. If Wade and Bosh were still there I don't think Carmelo on the Heat would work out that well, it would be much the same like trying to pair him with Kobe in L.A. Too many people wanting too many shots. Now, if he was only playing with LeBron then I think it works since LeBron could easily maneuver into a "do a little bit of everything else" role, and have Carmelo be your main scorer.
  9. So you're saying he should be more incognito about all of this?
  10. If you have the time, and want to know more about Brian Williams/Bison Dele, I cannot endorse this piece of writing enough. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/longform/bison-dele/
  11. Nash only played the first half of last night's game due to nerve root irritation on the leg he broke last year. I can't see him playing beyond this season. I'm not even sure he can finish this season.
  12. If we are still going under the assumption that the Radicalz still make the jump in early 2000, I really think he could have found a second life as a stablemate/opponent for everyone in the group.
  13. Hi, what would you be willing to give up in return?
  14. Bryan/Wyatt was a really good. I enjoyed Lesnar/Show more than probably anyone else. Orton/Cena was comical. The Royal Rumble match was great, and when Mysterio came out at 30 everything just died. It wasn't a slow death, either; it was a quick and sudden death.
  15. This is the highlight of the NBA season. Edit: It's been topped.
  16. Just for further wrestling tie-ins we also share a birthday with Fabulous Moolah, David Von Erich, and Akira Tozawa.

    30 For 30

I am sure you could probably get an hour out of The Palace Brawl, and how it affected both teams and the NBA as a whole.
  18. Greg Oden playing in the regular season is awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rozYjwa27gg
  19. So, after reading Odessa's earlier post, I decided to go hunting around various temperatures in Antarctica, and compare them to those of us in a good chunk of the United States. Davis Station had a reading of 46 degrees. I don't even know anymore.
  20. Hey, remember the (early) 80s? See, that's the thing, I wasn't around for it, but if it were happening now I think I could find some joy in the absurdity of it all. It would be like the Knicks only with absolutely no success at any point.
  21. People need to take that Executives page away from me, now I am going to lament the Cavs GM's moves since 1999 for the rest of the day.
  22. Do you think Mike Price still has a house in the El Paso area?
