  1. lol, ya got me. 'Tis the season.
  2. Man, some of the user-made CAWs look better than the official models: Also, apparently they're banning people for uploading or downloading Christ Benoit CAWs or logos.
  3. Click on the ring icon and it lists shows in chronological order.
  4. Yes and yes. From what I understand they are presenting shows that were aired on PPV and Samurai TV in the past on NJPW World.
  5. Sometimes players are the last ones to know there's nothing left to give at that level.
  6. I disagree. I would say the majority of the Austin podcast was Vince spewing inane rhetoric and corporate euphemisms to which he doesn't even know what they mean until he sees it (ie: "it" having hair and looks like Roman Reigns) without giving away anything much of substance other than he's so deluded that he feels like he actually is the Cold Stone character because he had a rough first ten or so years of his life. After watching that interview, it was pretty clear to me that he is so far removed from the real/modern world and has repeated this nonsense so often that he actually believes it and therefore everybody else in his company has to obey his make-believe world's rules. Like his answer towards Austin more or less calling him out on over scripting and producing his talent, to which he replied that they're such a bigger entity now that one man cannot overlook everything. Is the one extra hour of actual worthwhile content a week really making the difference there or is it jargon that has been repeated so much so that it makes sense to him, dammit?
  7. Certainly but Beliveau is the face of the Habs for me, just like DFA said was the case for him. His class, elegance (his long, effortless strides up and down the ice were something), cool demeanor, and great skill defined what it meant to be a great hockey player. Wasn't he featured heavily in that incredible video DFA posted eons ago featuring footage from the '60s set to music? I've watched a few games of his from gamecenter's vault and was very impressed watching full games rather than just clips. Very smart player. I love how he's accredited with turning around the series against the Bruins in '71 (his last season) and the come from behind victory in game 2 (down 5-1, win 7-5). This is from the YT video description: Dat Cournoyer pass on the 5-3 Beliveau goal though. Also, I fucking miss being a kid and watching like 10 episodes of Legends of Hockey during Christmas break: Edit- Watching that LoH episode again, I was having flashbacks of the Manchurian Candidate: Jean Beliveau is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life.
  8. I missed the match but read the Guardian report. It sounds like Gerrard played deep again, is that the case?
  9. Yes. They don't have their entire library archived or anything but most events from the past few years are up and classics have their section. Lots of good stuff there too. Missing a few of the matches I was looking for but most of the stuff that I wanted to watch was on there. (Plus, there's always Ditch's site).
  10. I haven't had any loading issues. When you jump ahead there's a few seconds of buffering but that's it. VQ is very good, not WWE Network good but very good. There's a test video on the website you should be able to find with a translator plugin to see how it works for you. It's just an announcement video but it's something.
  11. So, wouldn't this amazing NJPW World deal completely undermine Jarrett's distribution of the Dome Show? Who's going to pay $50-60 or whatever they're going to charge just to hear Jim Ross' commentary? I want that to succeed so we get more Jim Ross but I'm also broke and am not fucking crazy.
  12. There is so much classic content! It's overwhelming! Meltz says New Japan wants to surpass WWE in terms of overall business and this is their ace card. He's saying that they've stated that they're already #1 in the world in terms of wrestling business.
  13. Second half was very promising. First half was dreadful from both sides. Bojan is still a player. A player for Stoke but a player.
  14. I wonder if the next Assassin's Creed game will be out next November.
  15. I wonder how the crowds react to DA BIG GUY after all of this.
  16. Vince's thoughts on UFC sums up why the WWE is where it is at and will continue to be while he's in charge. I loved this appearance and am appreciative he put out his thoughts even though he owed nobody an explanation. That he did it for free and did his bud a solid in the process is even better.
  17. Lolerpool indeed. Swing and a miss by Raheem at one end and that at the other. Edit: Holy shit, two horrendous goals in the opening 8 minutes. This one at the other end thankfully.
  18. My favourite part of the interview was that he put over the idea of a new generation 2.0 big time and you could hear the competitiveness and almost resentment in his voice concerning the established top two of Cena and Orton. Extrapolating from this it would appear that when Cesaro spoke out recently about those two he was echoing sentiment felt amongst this group of younger guys wanting to reach the top.
  19. I have mixed thoughts on Punk. Sometimes the shooty stuff was just shooty for its own sake (PAUL AND PHIL! OMG!), while the pipebomb was a fantastic promo that set him up as a premiere guy (which WWE would fuck up horrendously within weeks after getting it so right at MitB). He had a large number of good-to-great matches but a lot of his offense looks like dog shit because he's lifting moves from Japanese workers who deliver it 100x more crisply than he does because he's not a great natural athlete relatively speaking. My biggest complaint though is that he more or less mailed it in for a good deal of 2013. While Greggulator loved the Heyman feud, I thought it was a steaming pile of shit that was only saved due to some of Heyman's finest work. It buried DA BIG GUY so bad that he's just now recovering and is on thin ice from ending up back in the pile of anonymous midcard guys that job two or three times a week to the new hotness. It was incredibly one-sided, got nobody over and I would argue Punk was worse off after coming out of that feud than going into it. The half-assed John Cena superman gimmick was so ill suited for Punk that it came off cliched and I think damaged his persona. He's not The Guy. He's the anti-Guy. Also, while the Brock match was great fun and all, there was some seriously shoddy psychology going on as Brock bounced around for Punk way too much and was too dependable on Heyman. I know the Heyman stuff fit into the bigger picture feud between Paul E and Punk but it didn't fit the structure of a Burock Leszzzznur match. I would like to see him return but only if his heart is in it, which it clearly wasn't the last year or so of his time in WWE. And, if WWE creative can muster something of actual interest for him to do.
  20. I know. I'll subscribe when I have some extra cash about. I only listen to Cornette's podcast on their iTunes feed but between his premium content and Sullivan's, I could see myself getting $15 worth in a year.
  21. And professionals don't feel pressure from their bosses to appease advertisers? Professional reviewers are often awful and I give the large majority of them no weight at all.
  22. I think with something as subjective as movies, I can see where Niners are coming from. I can't count the number of movies rated in the 6.5-7.0 range on IMDB that are among my favourites.
  23. You guys wouldn't go to a dinosaur theme park (with the knowledge that MAYBE something MAY go wrong)? Jurassic Park was the movie for me as a kid and this seems more like the first one than either of the other sequels. Plus, Chris Pratt is fantastic. I have high hopes. Countering that, the giant crocodile thing looks straight out of SyFy. Perhaps the raptors are running past Pratt's character because they're being chased? *Shrug* Fuggit, raptor minions are the best type of minions.
