  1. And I get that. But, man, that move could seriously fuck somebody up for the rest of their lives. Satomura's dropkick to the trainee in GAEA Girls was horrifying, BUT SHE FELT BAD AFTERWARDS. That knee is ruthless in comparison.
  2. TSN also says TFC is in advanced talks with Juventus over Sebastian Giovinco. Remember when he was their next big star?
  3. How does that not cause serious brain trauma? It looks as if she lands with all her weight on the knee coming down on the victim.
  4. Meltz says Vince is writing Roman's promos since Reigns returned from injury. I wonder how many of WWE's problems would go away if Vince retired/whatever'd.
  5. Yeah, you should grab 'em when they go super duper cheap on Steam sales.
  6. Wow, Kyle Walker looked absolutely hilarious in whatever he was doing there. Looked like Brock getting smacked around by Cain Velasquez. Only 20 and wasn't he a huge prospect for club and country? I saw a video piece on him that showed his highlights, hyping him up and he looked pretty awesome. Sucks.
  7. Except he's now playing for Inter Milan. I know this is hypocritical as a Liverpool supporter but still: http://youtu.be/50Sq4n4kt2k
  8. While not as specific as you're looking for, this may be a good place to start. The excel doc has the great matches in bold and links.
  9. Trolololololol! This is in the WCW OMG Moments DVD as well, absolutely hysterical. Especially if you're listening to Kevin Sullivan's MLW podcast where he goes through WCW bookings week-by-week and explains how Hogan was.Hogan's creative control gave Savage the WCW title because Randy had split with Liz and The Hulkster "gave" him the title to bury any heat between him and Randy. Hogan's creative control created The Renegade who Hogan wanted to be called Warrior (until TBS legal killed it). Hogan's creative control allowed Flair and Savage to get the title but never to be shown as strong champions because Hogan would eventually reclaim his belt... whenever he got back from filming a movie. I've fallen behind the past month due to the holidays and stuff but I always got a kick out of Sullivan describing the lengths of Hulk's paranoia manifested through his creative control use. He's stated that no heels could lose during his absence when filming one of his classic movies because they'd lose any heat they had for when it came time for Hulkster to beat them on his return. Scott Norton's unbelievable power, arm size, and arm wrestling history couldn't be played up too much, brother, because we all know who has the 24" pythons. It sounds like the entire card was either directly or indirectly influenced by that fragile ego of Hulk's.
  10. That all makes perfect sense. Best moment of my Isolation playthrough just happened: Three jabronis are conversing how they're just waiting for somebody to save them. I guess one either hears me shuffling around in the room next to me or sees me through the glass. Two of them enter the room to find me, waving guns about acting all hard n shit. Then I hear loud footsteps from the other direction, as the door at the other end of the room opens (just as I find cover under a hospital bed) and the alien takes out both of them RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! It gets even better as the third guy who stayed behind was later heard making some noises in the distance, I hear the alien jump into the vents behind me and I watch on the tracker as one very fast blip speeds towards the stationary blip and as they meet up a gun is fired, an alien screams, and a man screams. lololol.
  11. I know you're not big into consoles but have you pondered saving up for a PS4/XBONE? That way you could get discs instead of downloads and still play AAA games made in the past three or four years. Mind you, in hindsight I probably should've held off on my PS4 purchase until this past November (when actual deals were available) or later this year when there's a shitstorm of great games on the way. It's been pretty barren for great exclusive titles. Most of the games I've played thoroughly, I could've done so on me pc. I thought Alberta had super fast, cheap internet? I must be crazy.
  12. It really is tremendous. Does your laptop not come close to the minimum requirements? While it is a super gorgeous game, I would think you could probably play it on a low resolution with the options turned all the way down on most modernish PCs because it's usually only one character on the screen at a time (usually the alien staring you in the face with its mouth open, lol). I was going to say something about its availability on 360/PS3 but those machines are still in the $150-250 range... Greasy! I just checked out the minimum requirements and they're 1GB of VRAM and 4GB of RAM. That's actually pretty hefty. Shyit.
  13. So, I finally got murdered by the xenomorph in Alien Isolation and once I popped that gruesome cherry, I've found it much easier to work around the alien. Kotaku's tip guide for the game sums that up rather nicely: I'm playing on PC and leaning back in lockers when it comes in close contact with me. I think the game said to click RMB when leaning back in a locker to hold your breath. Tried it twice, twice I was ripped out of the locker and murdered in the face. Seems like that's a bit of an issue as the alien may have either heard me (the second time it just walked straight into the room and yanked open the locker door) or knows my tendency (doubtful as I hadn't been killed before this last save). The tip I'm reading is to just hide under desks rather than use lockers. Will give that a try - but I wanted to avoid it after seeing footage of the alien snatching suckers out from under desks a few times.
  14. Yeah, she's with Ricky Banderas (Mil Muertes) and her gimmick is that she licks dudes' faces. So...
  15. You lost me at Gerrard providing stability as a holding midfielder. He's a massive liability in that position as he's got little positional discipline, low concentration and poor marking. Add to that, his legs are pretty well shot outside a few bursts per game. His strengths remain his ability to pick out a pass, convert pelanties, curl in free kicks in the 25 yard range, and to throw a tackle. He'll kill it in America because the level of play isn't very good there and he'll probably be able to roam forward more often than for Liverpool. Most of the new signings are starting to find their stride. Of course, Lallana goes and gets injured again just as he found his form. Unless both of Southampton or Arsenal shit the bed entirely the rest of the season, there's not much hope for 4th.
  16. This is spot on. It's extremely challenging but it's a rewarding challenge in the end, one that's exhilarating and constantly asking you to get out of sticky situations with just enough tools to pull it off. When I die, it's often because I screwed up and I learn from the mistake. Pretty much exactly what I would want from this type of game. It's a visceral survival horror thriller and that primordial feel of the hunt is exactly the stuff an Alien game should play up. The main thing I need to do other than stop hiding in fucking lockers like a bitch (thanks, Neil!) is use the various distraction bombs better. I have them, so why not use them when I'm 1 on 1 with that slimy bitch?
  17. I hope AXS' airing of old matches further hooks people into NJPW and they start airing stuff from the Asahi or Samurai shows. WK9 was a great way to create a huge piece of momentum to build on. WK9 is the gateway drug, man. While I was skeptical of Ross' commentary of a promotion he's unfamiliar with (and after listening to some of his commentary on a rewatch, I feel it was justified skepticism), I think if they did another big GFW pay-per-view of the G1 climax final or perhaps the final three shows at a reduced cost, he would be much better off as he'd have the AXS shows to watch and learn from and more time to familiarize himself with all of the wrestlers and their moves. I'm very interested to see what kind of buyrate the GFW presentation did. Too bad about the flip app not working, as I'm sure that soured a lot of people on the whole idea.
  18. Thanks for the tips. I'll plug away at the original cast DLC before heading back into the campaign mode. I'm in the med facility right now, where you get 1 v 1 with the xeno for the first time in truth. It pretty much had me way back at the other section of the ship but the door closed just as it was about to pounce on me, allowing me to tuck my ass in a locker. I hope I picked up all of the blueprints up to this point. Watched some clips on youtube, and having the xeno in the vents with you is terrifying. I just know at one point in the game, I'm going to be a clever boy and hide in the vent, turn around, switch on the flashlight only to see that sum'bitch right in front of me a la Dallas.
  19. Welp, that was quick. I hope the Russians don't fold and give up like everybody expects them to.
  20. Isn't Shumpert a good perimeter defender? Knicks team defensive stats from last year without him were atrocious and much better with him on the court. Did they have to take JR to get him? I don't get it.
  21. I finally got back into Alien: Isolation after putting it off for a few months, in an attempt to get through the linear, story-based games in my backlog to free up time for endless time wasters. Christ, I'll probably take twice as long as the average playthrough time due to my extra cautious nature around the alien. It hasn't killed me yet but androids have multiple times. What great intensity, atmosphere, and pacing. Clenched cheeks the entire time. So good, yet so nerve-racking. It's only taken about 35 years, but we finally got the Alien game the franchise deserves. Did anybody else play this? Beat it?
  22. I watched all of the UWF reborn shows about ten years ago, so my memory is hazy. The best stuff usually features one of Takada, Maeda, or Yamazaki. My favourite UWF match was certainly handsome, college jock type Masakatsu Funaki vs. portly, pig-faced, pompadoured underdog Tatsuo Nakano. So much emotion from the fighters, perfect story, brutal stiffness, and Hakata Star Lane is like the Korakuen Hall of southern Japan in that it always makes matches better. The fans completely get behind the plucky Nakano. http://youtu.be/5gHtgUsXEm4 Yamazaki was my main man during my UWF binge, as he showed a vulnerability that Takada and Maeda often times avoided due to their desire to be ACE. Fujiwara is surly, technically incredible and more than willing to make Yamazaki look vulnerable. Here's their match (link is part 1 of 3) from the same show as the above match: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vi6lLxflpQ Here's Mookieghana's stats on the board's voting for Other Japan (men) set featuring most of the good shit from the original and reincarnated UWF.
  23. Sounds like McMahon in Memphis.
  24. Good question and it doesn't make any sense unless people are luddites and can't figure out how to stream stuff. I mean Survivor Series did roughly the same PPV buys in 2014 than it did in 2013 and WWE was literally giving it away.
