  1. I love that Jim Carrey story for its absurdity.
  2. So, guesses as to where Stamkos ends up? I'm sticking with Detroit and them moving Datsyuk's contract so easily was the key set-up move.
  3. Agree 100% with the last paragraph. Nobody selected around Maker was going to boost them from a team with a lot of issues to a playoff contender by himself alone. Going for a player with a tonne of upside but is very likely going to bust in that position is fine. He's a freak and they're trying to collect freak athletes with long wingspans and have done a good job of it so far. Build around Giannis and Jabari and go from there. Khris Middleton is a very good supporting player and one of the better 3 and D types in the league. They're looking to move Monroe and MCW won't be long for the roster either if Point Giannis works out.
  4. If he pans out, he will be a fantastic player. I am giddy thinking about a team with Point Giannis and Thon Maker in the starting 5. For a top heavy draft, I like swinging for the fences like that when picking at 10. Chad Ford was surprised Ujiri didn't take him at 9.
  5. Read a few in-depth reports on Juolevi and like what I saw. He's a few years away and needs to add some muscle though. Still, we're a mess with the rumours surrounding Lucic and Eriksson. And the Oilers are going to be terrifying.
  6. That's a huge gamble for the Jarmo. Didn't know the debate on Tkachuk. We'll see lots of him in Vancouver though. Interesting.
  7. Why didn't CBJ select Puljujarvi? Wasn't Tkachuk the consensus bpa at 5? Jeff Brown sighting! One more thing: CuJo > Elliot.
  8. Oh, wow. I love it for the Thunder.
  9. Goodbye Rubio? Also, I'm fascinated in Dragan Bender and he should fit in really well with the Suns.
  10. It was, but now it's saying the store is down. Ah, never mind. It's working now.
  11. It's part of the Tomspiracy. He starts to do the splits when doing interviews most of the time, so he doesn't make the rasslers look small. He looks ridiculous doing it.
  12. Some fun hypotheticals thrown out by Chad Ford today: Kevin Love heading back to Minnesota would be hilarious, but a line up of Love, KAT, Wiggins, and Rubio would be straight up Hugh Morris shit. Terrifying. I doubt New York gives up Melo with the big piece coming back being the 5th pick in a top 2 heavy draft. I get where Ford is going with it (Knicks go full in on the rebuild) but has there been any indication of Jackson thinking that way? OKC's bench would be the absolute shits if that second trade were to happen. But Boogie and Westbrook in the same motherfuckin' place at the same motherfuckin' time? Insanity and I would sign up for league pass to see all of the games. edit: I just realized I posted this in the wrong thread. WHOOPS and sorry.
  13. She wins. Great movie! MacGruber sex scenes are legendary.
  14. I kind of like the idea of Cleveland shipping out Love and bringing in Carmelo. Mostly to see how long it lasts before it blows up spectacularly. I can't get behind the idea of Durant playing for Golden State. It would be too much.

"Eating so much pussy I'm shitting clits, son" - Jonah Ryan, speaking in an elementary classroom. We also got to see the (obvious) story behind the wood chopping edit. And Richard performing in "The Cherry Blossom Players". I fucking love this show! And poor Mike. That was such a great reveal though!
  16. So Roman to win the Shield three-way match at Summerslam then?
  17. I think the big thing LeBron has is that he's built like (and worked hard to build up and maintain his body) the ideal athlete and can stand up to the rigors of the schedule and playoffs better than the relatively frail Curry. I don't know who's better in a video game setting though.
  18. He was easily the best player in the regular season this year and I thought he was decisively better last year too. He needs to be able to get through the 82 game grinder without getting as beat up as he has because he's had two brutal playoff runs in a row with a few glimmers of the real Steph here and there. Obviously not enough for people to overreact and throw him under the bus when looking at the bigger picture though. He's changed the way professional basketball is played. He's an evolutionary force but that doesn't mean he's infallible.
  19. The big one to me was sticking Varejao for so long and inserting Ezeli in late in the 4th. I get why he went with Anderson, because when they went small last game LeBron was killing them on the interior, but they were eating both Festus and Anderson alive on switches tonight.
  20. Congratulations JR and all the other Cavs fans. That was a tremendous, historic comeback and they worked their asses off to win this. Amazing, and I'm a little in shock right now. I honestly didn't see them winning more than one even with a broken down Curry because of GSW's amazing depth. I'm not a die hard Warriors fan but have had a love for them since the Baron Davis miracle series over the Mavs in '07 with those terrible jerseys. Feel more for Phil and the true die hards. We know how great Kyrie, LeBron and Tristan Thompson (holy shit, he was legitimately amazing) were this series, but Kevin Love manned the fuck up tonight. Great on the glass and found enough of a scoring touch to be that tertiary guy they needed. After a rough few seasons in Cleveland, I still think it would benefit both parties for a move but he accounted himself incredibly tonight.
