  1. Dear God... Why can I only like this ONCE?!? James
  2. I've been after that TBS Programmign achievement forever! I'm hoping to get the tifecta of a Braves game overrun interrupting 2 hours of wrestling followed by Beastmaster and The Osterman Weekend!* *you can swap out The Osterman Weekend with a random airing of Car Wash or The Sons of Katie Elder James
  3. Holy Crap! I wish "Battle of The Network Stars" was still gong just for piranesi's workrate reports! James
  4. Man I'm so sick of belly to back suplexes being reversed by having the guy escape by going over the executor's shoulder and landing on his feet. I just want a nice clean belly to back suplex! I think someone needs to dust off Brian Adias "Oriental Tool". I mean turning the Asiatic Spike int oa pure strike move to the throat or temple was so genius I'm stunned no one thought of it sooner! James
  5. Y'know, hiring Martin Sheen to play himself as delusional TNA President Jeff Bartlett could be entertaining as hell! James
  6. Yeah but Kudo actually looks YOUNGER! Who knew Hido was the equivalent of the fountain of youth! James
  7. I hope these Billy Corgan rumors are false... James
  8. Oh thank God gordi is back! I've really missed this thread more than any other! James
  9. I'm hoping with Arno Stark being referenced that this leads to Tony teaming up with Machine Man! James
  10. Seriously, God Bless Bull Nakano! James
  11. I think a strong case can be made for Steven/William Regal. Even his worst match is exceedingly watchable! James
  12. I'm all for The Infragiable Gronk in the WWE~! James
  13. I'm a Wally fan, though I wave the banner like you and Fowler do. I think Waid's best overall writing was done on The Flash and ever since then he's been trying to top that. I always liked how after Marz introduced Kyle that DC editorial tried to shoehorn Wally and Kyle into the same roles but the writers just didn't want ot take that same route. They were deliberately making sure Wally and Kyle would in no way be Hal and Barry i nterms of friendship and respect between them. James
  14. Hating on Chariots of Fire boggles my mind... and it had some really stiff competiton that year with Reds, Raiders and Atlantic City (I can live without On Golden Pond). I can see CoF winning because the there was such a split in the voting. The next year was so weird because you had Ghandi up against some lightweights in ET and Tootsie followed by some hard hitters like Missing (almost a forgotten great movie these days) and The Verdict (a movie I don't think I've watched since I was like 13) and barely remember. James
  15. The issue where Wally writes home to his Mom is one of my favorites and of course Commie hatin' Wally in the Starfire issue is just so not what we come to love about him later in his own book. James
  16. I'm in the minority and don't think Snyder's Batman stuff has been all that great. I liked his early stuff on Detective but once the DCNu launched I really didn't care for it his stories. The Court of Owls was just so overhyped and Death of The Family was completely underwhelming. James
  17. The fact that TRON was snubbed for an effects Oscar still amazes me, the fact they said that using computers was "Cheating" just shows how out of touch the Academy was with actual advances in cinema tech. James
  18. Dances with Wolves is by the most overrated Best Picture winner, especially when it as up against the far superior Goodfellas! As much as I think Pulp Fiction should have won, Gump is at least a watchable movie. You want someone to give up watching movies, I say you make them watch dances with Wolves! James
  19. About time Idris Elba found a way into a comic book! I figured you meant Luthor but the idea of DC fucking up Luther terrifies me!
  20. Wow... so Priest and Bright are back doing a new Quantum and Woody series! Fantastic! James
  21. I've enjoyed KILL LA KILL so far, what with its obvious homage to 70s sports and High school anime. Episode 2 was pretty much "Ace o Nerae" if it was written by Atsushi Onita in 1994 James
  22. wrong topic, moved the comment to the Anime Thread
  23. Yeah, Bryan Q. Miller's Batgirl was the most fun I had reading comics in years. I think the Halloween team-up issue with Supergirl might the most ridiculous yet fun comic I've read since the Giffen/Dematties Justice League! James
  24. I remember on one of the old boards someone mentioned Tanaka having dinner at Paul Diamond's house a few years back and how Diamond and his wife were careful not oto use "the good silver" James
