Taiyo started as a Momoe Nakanishi clone (since she was president of the Momoe fanclub back in the day) and evolved into something that was very much her own thing while still being like a Momoe tribute wrestler. Io Shirai is finally evolving to what those of us who first saw her in 2008 thought she was going to be (i.e. the real deal next big thing for Joshi). Kana always makes whatever promotion she is in interesting because there is no one that stirs shit the way she does. James

I loved the Legends of Wrestling episode about the 70s. It was an episode where Michael really wasn't annoying, as he was the "fan" getting to ask about the era he grew up watching. Bockwinkel concedeing that Bruno was "The Guy" came as a bit of surprise but the emphasis he and Patterson made about Bruno being the most well known around the world made sense. I really loved hearing hem talk about Gary Hart! James

If you're going to continue with GARO, you can watch SMILE, which is a Kaoru story with no real action. It isn't quite clear where it fits in the timeline (I maintain it takes place right after Kouga gets Goten while other fans say it takes place after the last episode of the TV series). It isn't a must see thing, though you do get to see Silva and Zoruba's human manifestations in the Makai Realm. Definitely watch "Beast of The White Night" as it is AWESOME and introduces a 3rd Makai Knight. You can watch the RED REQUIEM movie after that. It isn't great but it does introduce characters that play a big role in Makai Senki (the 2nd TV series) James

I'm pretty sure if they want to use Toku-Spidey they'd have to check with Toei... or not, even I don't understand the licensing agreement on that one. Hell I'm wondering if they will use Ryoichi Ikegami Spider-Man! James

Well that episode was more about how Kouga and Rei know something isn't right but have no proof, plus it comes right after the previous episode where they introduce Gouten, so it was more about shpwing these Makai Knights are equal in terms of power since Rei also has a Madou Horse and access Blazing Armament. Most of the fighting is out of suit though and hey tend to save the armor sequences for the kiling blow or Blazing Armament fights The CGI gets upped a little once they introduce Goten James

There was a later issue where Bats basically said he knew the Best would escape and they would have to face off again but it was never followed up on as Bats next fought KGBeast's protege the NKVDemon. KGBeast wouldn't return until... I think the 3rd Robin miniseries. James

The story kicks into high gear around episode 7, as for the "Golden Tiger"... well its a wolf but that's a minor point. As for the CG looking kinda cheesy, take into a ccount it was show with limited budget shown after hours. Also the first series is 10 years old. It will be explained later why he needs both the armor and the Makai Ken to defeat Horrors, especially after they evolve to their second form. As for the art style, that is the influence of series creator Keita Amemiya. He is best known for working on Choujin Sentai Jetman and directing the 2 Zeiram movies and the vastly underrated Moon Over Tao James

ZERO: Black Blood has been pretty good so far, what with the main villain being a horror trying to build a commune of Horrors and humans and preaches peace between the 2. We've got a Makai Priestess wielding a Makai Ken, a drunken fancy boy of a Makai Priest and ZERO who just plain hates Horrors. Its only 6 episodes long (last 2 episodes will air this week in Japan) so the story ha developed quickly and is building ot a big showdown already. Hopefully the last 2 episodes start and end on a climax! James

The Cult was something I remember reading and loving when it first hit shelves and then revisited 10 years later and found my opinion of it changed. I wonder what a re-read now would evoke as a response from me. The fact it was an incontinuity story was also kind of crazy. James
