Caught the last third or so of today’s show. Emi was great, Skye was great, Rohit Raju was a surprisingly good promo. I need PPA’s Wingmen shirt. I like Blake Christian a lot even though he looks like the douche from that show Good Girls. Final thought: a trio of Bear Country and Josh Woods.

Already mentioned but I want a Willow-Nyla feud.

My Longhorns coming in at 27, which is about right. Had a couple of big season-ending injuries from our first scrimmage (WR Isaiah Neyor, who was a transfer from Wyoming and our #2 WR, and Junior Angilau, starting guard but was working to being starting Center this year). Plus senior RB and heart of the team Roschon Johnson will be out for about a month, so likely missing the Alabama game.

If you need someone to keep it at 12, I can do it.

There is a lot I agree with in the AEW Women’s 95 Theses, but where I differ: Deeb has been given several high profile chances and the only heat she’s ever gotten was crippling Shida and at the ROH PPV. She’s been a crowd and ratings killer. She may be a fantastic wrestler, but that’s not enough. Have her be the Ace and trainer of the ROW women’s division if you don’t have Purrazzo. The counterpoint is Rosa. She’s not as good and she’s been in a slump lately but she (and Britt) are the stars and draws of the division right now. Keep the course with the ThunderStorm-DentalHayte feud, spin stories off that. Use Shida and Riho in here some. Have Jade’s angles be the focus of Friday (in case you need tape editing), and then add one other every week. More RubyBlue-TayJAS. Fans love Willow, maybe have her feud with Nyla. Speaking of, Nyla and Shafir are a fun tag team.

I think I called Claudio-Lard Lad a MOTYC candidate, and I was chanting “fight forever” and gave it a standing O at home, so that got my vote. I guess in the future I’ll make some time to check out some of the non-AEW stuff. I do occasionally check in on the NJPW show.

I’ve seen them on YouTube, just don’t see that they’re really something that was ready to push on the TV shows.

That segment and the mixed tag were the highlights, the rest was very there. Like someone said, basically Dark+ and the Trustbusters, while perfectly cromulent, feels rushed even if it’s just to feed them to someone in the trios tournament. That said, I wouldn’t mind a Boudreax-Redbeard BMMSM fight.

Me: they really need to elevate some of these Dark/Elevation wrestlers. Also me: no, not THAT guy!

Gotti is one of my only "celeb" sightings in my life, but it was a good one. My girlfriend and I were just chilling on a random stoop in Soho (the NYC one). At one point, I notice that there hasn't been anyone walk by for several minutes. I look down the block and there are two big dudes in baseball jackets walking, then about 50 feet behind them is Gotti (in a suit) and another sharp dressed guy. About 30 feet behind them are two more huge dudes in baseball jackets. They were walking on the opposite side of the street, I guess we were deemed "not a threat" being a couple of scruffy teenagers.

I also want it to be Best Friends. I think they or Dark Order would also be the sentimental favorites.

This all makes sense and I know I may be a minority of 1 here but setting all this up for it just to be more DT vs. HOB would be a massive letdown.

We're getting pretty close to the one year anniversary of me deciding to check out this AEW thing some of my friends have been posting/tweeting about. On paper, in terms of true star power, this is not a good night of pro wrestling, but it does look to be an entertaining night of pro wrestling. But I'm always happy to see Dante Martin and Skye Blue on TV (such a sweet young couple), and very excited to see Sonny get some airtime.

Up until NFTs, art was THE big way to launder money in recent years.

Thanks to @just drewfor reminding me that Mox, in addition to being on top of his wrestling game in 2022, is just killing it in the promo department as well. Very old school in the “semi-stream of consciousness very serious talking, never getting too excited except when talking about pain and violence” way. I’m not saying he’s Arn Anderson, but I’m saying that’s what he’s reminding me off lately.

I loved it, but I’m mostly just thinking of weird fun ways to draw out the feud and intrigue and get multiple matches.
