I really can't stand Joaquin Phoenix, so that is lost on me.

So I saw Birdman last night and one of the trailers was for Blackhat and I laughed my ass off. Inherent Vice also looked just terrible. I don't know how to embed videos, but I presume y'all know how to use Youtube and Google if you really wanna watch the trailers.

I've been very lucky in this regard in this league, because it's a free league. All my pay leagues have been tough. Also realized I'm playing you this week, clash of the titans!

Gundy at #1 shocks me. Not sure what info they're getting on that. I mean, I'm not surprised Gundy's name would be attached to the job, because he's spent the last few years making sure his name was attached to every decent job opening. Jim McElwain is going to get one of the major job openings on this spin of the carousel, though. He's legit. He could be an option at Michigan if they swing and miss on the Harbaugh/Miles/Mullen types. He could also be in serious play at Florida if the rumors that Foley doesn't want any part in RichRod because he thinks he has too much Urb in him are true. On the Texas board I'm on, someone pointed out that they had Charlie Strong as the odds on favorite for our next head coach well before he was on most people's radar (and not just because they were obsessed with Little Nicky).

Isn't Depp like one-fourth indian, though? That's not the first time he's played a native character, he also did it in his self-directed movie The Brave (which he infamously refused to release in America, saying that people here just wouldn't get it). I know it's Wikipedia, but this link says nope, not one bit.

I really think the show got even better the last two seasons. The big change really worked.

I didn't think she was bad this week, finally dropped her shitty Eartha Kitt tribute and talked like someone who was actually pissed about something, rather than overacting because "comic books".

I could've won my (old) work league, even with the Foles injury, if I had trusted my gut and subbed Mike Evans in for Mike Wallace (who has mostly been a letdown). Speaking of, I may have lost Foles, Arian Foster, and Lamar Miller just in time for the playoff push, where every game counts.

Handing out candy while drinking beer and then watching horror movies. I'm bummed because The Afghan Whigs are playing here tonight but there is no way in hell I'll go near the shitshow that is downtown Austin on Halloween, made worse by it also being F1 race weekend.

They don't bother me, and sometimes I think they add a nice touch to the show. Honestly, I haven't understood why everyone is so batshit hostile about that part of the show.

I noticed that holding call too, but being a Big 12 football viewer, I never expect blatant holding to be called.

I did too, and I know of several things that were ignored/overlooked about some of the players (albeit not academically).

Late field goals by Suisham and late points by Texans helped me eke out wins in 2 leagues where I barely weathered the Leveon Bell storm.

It's hard to say that A&M quit during that game, because I'm not sure they even bothered to show up. Utterly undisciplined, complete disarray. And yes, my team eked out a tough win at home against a team we should have beaten by more, causing me to gain ever more gray hairs. I still like the way UT is trending, and think we're gonna be a force to be reckoned with in 2016 and possibly sooner.

I just saw this last night, and this pretty well sums up my feelings on it. It was also at least 20 minutes too long, and maybe more. Cutting the last 20 minutes or so would have made the ending a lot better too. And like you, my girlfriend predicted the twist almost right away. Decent performances by the main cast though. Think Birdman will be next movie we'll go see, having a Groupon for Alamo Drafthouse this month makes going to movies a little more appealing.

If you really are struggling, just go ahead and skip to Season 3. Seriously. You'll see why, if you haven't already been told. Got through it- it was tough,a complete mess of a season. Starting season 3 now. Writers strike combined with network pressure. It gets sooooooooo much better from this point on.

I picked up Bolden in one of my leagues for the same reason, but then I read their text that says that he's such a huge part of the Patriots special teams that he might not get a whole lot of work at RB. So I don't know. I would think that any of the Saints 3 would be better.
