  1. Hey, SD was pretty good! Except Lawler. Wow, he's just so bad... Mauro is awesome though, so that helps balance shit out. I also loved Dean's backstage interview with Renee. Although, he basically described that he has an open relationship with Roman.
  2. We watched What We Do in the Shadows and it was really goddamn funny. Rhys Darby showing up was a highlight.
  3. I didn't think Sicario was that depressing. I thought it was pretty fucking awesome and the ending reminded me a little of No Country for Old Men, but I walked away from it ok. And I know this involves a TV series, but Threads > When the Wind Blows > Grave of the Fireflies.
  4. I made the same mistake of watching that a couple months ago. Yeah, that movie is...super depressing. Requiem for a Dream looks at it and goes, "Damn."
  5. Agreed on Teller's very dumb and punchable face. I hope he isn't cast as young Han Solo.
  6. October 12, 2015: Cardinals at Cubs, NLDS Game 3. My first ever post-season baseball game I was able to go to and the Cubs shelled the Cardinals. Nothing tops this.
  7. Dota may have the worst and most abusive community. Not only that, but 9/10 of people playing are people seemingly new to Dota or they just aren't godlike. If you aren't godlike, you get your teammates telling both teams to report you for sucking, basically. And then you receive your "report" and see that others have negatively reported you, all because you weren't some pro-level esport gamer. It's fucking stupid.
  8. Wrong. Lacrosse would be almost as middle class white kid as you can get. Or would lacrosse place him in upper class?
  9. Jesus, yeah, Last Resort. I'm glad EVA's in on Mad Dogs. It's really fucking great and the way the story unfolds is pretty awesome. I have no idea how they even do a second season, but I'm hoping there will be one. Agreed on Romany Malco too. He was king sized. Also, this feels weird to say, but Steve Zahn was pretty great too. Everyone just does such a good job and you forget at times that "Christuphuh" is supposed to be the star.
  10. Pretty ill at the moment so I watched the entire first season of Mad Dogs on Amazon Prime yesterday. It is pretty damn awesome. I'm not sure what's up with Shawn Ryan and using dog-related names for his TV shows, but I hope this gets a second season.

    The X-Files

I really dug the first two episodes and actually liked the first more than the second, but I was always way into the mythology. I also didn't come away from that thinking all of the alien stuff wasn't real. I still think it was all very real and the aliens are still players, but the illuminati have been using them as pawns too.
  12. Count me in for Daredevil Director's Cut. I have no idea why any of that was cut because it all made the movie so much better and complete.
  13. Strike Force was one of my FAVORITE tag teams as a kid and Demolition murdering Rick Martel crushed me. Then I hated Rick Martel for being such an asshole to Tito.
  14. How do you solve that problem though? Unless everyone gets futuristic energy shields, and that's basically Destiny/Halo. It's an interesting problem for sure.
  15. Poor poor cursed League of Nations Man, at this rate, they're getting to be more snakebit that the Nexus.
  16. Watched the Giant Bomb video of The Division and...it looks pretty cool...but too familiar to Destiny. The problem I have with games like that are bullet sponge enemies and it's even more ridiculous in The Division. For example, I watched Jeff and other NPCs dump rounds into a "named" mob and it took so much to kill the mob, which was just a normal human being. Later in the video, Jeff ventures into the Dark Zone, which is the PvP area, and it's the same shit there, just a bit more toned down so everyone isn't as much of a bullet sponge, but at the same time, your armor and gear is pretty irrelevant. It's weird because the game looks like it tows this line between being Destiny and not being Destiny, but in the wrong way for each. Like Destiny, everyone is a bullet sponge. Then in PvP, it differs from Destiny where there isn't much to set you apart from anyone else and you're more of a sponge than you are in Destiny. At the same time, The Division does some cool shit when it comes to forming groups. It looks like you can join groups on the fly and as you do their version of a Strike, you're auto-placed into a group then as well. Now, I know Destiny does this too, but it looks so much smoother in the Division. Dark Zone looks really rad. So, from what I could tell, there's good guys and rogues. You go rogue by turning on your team. Once your turn on your team, or even a lone teammate, you're the enemy. I have no idea if you can become a good guy again before dying, but it's a neat mechanic. Jeff and Dan were pretty high on the beta and seemed to really like it. To me, it looked pretty interesting. I may rent it from a Redbox to give it a shot. The environments look beautiful. More next-gen than any other game out there today and the sounds rival those of Battlefield.
  17. WOW! JOHNNY ACE WAS THERE TOO! And Juan Uribe! Man, that guy does everything. In all seriousness, regardless of how I feel about Nikki in ring, neck injuries are terrible so I hope she makes a full recovery.
  18. Once again, there's an issue here of you projecting your opinion as if it's the law of the land. She was better than you give her credit for.
  19. Oh man, AJ is going to fuck Bader up pretty bad. Only thing I'm worried about is his cardio, but upon repeat viewings of his title bout, I want to believe that AJ got swept up in the moment and tried to go ham on Cormier leading to him gassing badly.
  20. And man, I was half joking about my doomsday scenario, but now, jeez, if you're Reigns, HHH, Brock, Ambrose, Owens or Bray, you better watch out. Or Meltzer is counting Jericho in that "upper level."
