  1. Well, Bud has to, right? If there's a trade for a player that is going to be suspended, one would expect Bud to veto the trade, which would be a dead giveaway as to what would take place next. So it's either that, or announce the suspensions, and soon.
  2. Their window is closing fast. I'm still amazed at the contracts handed out to Pujols and Fielder. Fielder is in serious decline and offers no worth on defense. You can eventually stick him at DH, but even then, do you really want a DH who is OPSing under .800? Not only that, but what do you do with a player like that owed as much as he is through 2020? I think the 2014 MLB landscape is going to look vastly different than it does today. Except for the fucking Cardinals who can't be forced to relieve their death grip on the NL. Fucking Cardinals...
  3. I feel like HHH has to play out a real life version of Inception with Vince to get a pass on any of his ideas and that mouthy wife of his is one of Vince's defense systems.
  4. I feel like you could substitute Fitch or Okami's name in for Rory's and the conversation remains the same.
  5. Originally, it was Summer of Sam. My god, fuck that movie with a hot poker. That was later trumped by Eyes Wide Shut, which is one of the most pretentious movies I've ever seen, but also one of the worst. However, neither of those hold a candle to the Village and The Happening. I wrote an epic review of the Happening which is on the web somewhere. That movie is just beyond dumb. The Village though, takes the fucking cake. Signs is one of my favorite movies, as is Unbreakable, but The Village was the movie that made me realize that M. Night was a complete fucking hack and someone else actually made Signs, Unbreakable, and The Sixth Sense. Every character is beyond retarded, Bryce Dallas Howard plays THE WORST BLIND PERSON EVER, the twist is telegraphed way early in the movie, and, ugh, it's fucking terrible. It is the WCW Thunder for PSOne of movies. I had 7...SEVEN...long island iced teas before I went to see The Village and it somehow killed my buzz and sobered me the fuck up. It was so painfully bad and M. Night has been an abomination ever since.
  6. Sadly, I think the time to trade Gregg came and went. His outings as closer have turned into an adventure as of late, except for today. I mean, they still could, but they'll probably wind up getting crap in return.I would hold onto Navarro just because it seems like he adds veteran experience and Wellington could use that experience to make himself a better catcher.
  7. The forum needs more Fat Redheaded Kid from The Sandlot.
  8. TRADE FOR ALL THE PROSPECTS~!!! Chris Black actually has electric stuff and has a pretty decent shot at starting in the majors. Given what the Cubs coaching and training staff has been able to do with a bunch of dudes most people haven't heard of, as well as Scott Feldman and Shark, I think Black will rebound nicely. Or he won't and the Cubs save themselves a decent chunk of change. The Steinbrenners overruling Cashman on this deal, as well as the Russell Martin and Ichiro deals, is fucking crazy. Congrats Steinbrenners, your outfield now consists of Soriano and Ichiro. Of course, the ultimate outcome I'm hoping for is Girardi saying FUCK ALL YOUS and then Dale Sveum can resume his regular duties as buddy of Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer who brings the keg and beer tap to parties, thus opening the door for Girardi. You can also substitute Girardi for Scioscia or in a looooooong shot, Sandberg. Anyone [not shitty] but Sveum.
  9. Hendricks will knock Rory the fuck out just like he will GSP. Actually, check that; if records indicate anything, Hendricks KTFOs GSP in the first round and then decisions Rory. You can't stop the motherfuckin Baconator. Silliness aside, I thought that was a hell of a performance by DJ. It's nice to see a champ finish a fight that deep and exactly how Hume called for it. Had that been Greg Jackson, he probably would call for DJ to coast through the 5th round. Flyweight is a bit of a boring division though, because I can't see anyone stepping up to beat DJ anytime soon. At least the fights are exciting enough. As for Guillard, I can't get excited for that guy anymore. He looks like he's starting on one of those runs again, which will end in an epic collapse. I'd like to see him put it all together, but I think his fight IQ is fairly lacking.
  10. IANAL, but wouldn't Dixie's promise and subsequent reneging on that promise be actionable enough for Sorensen to bring suit against Dixie/TNA/Panda Energy? A hilarious twist would be Vince ordering convincing McDevitt to do pro bono work and represent Sorensen in a lawsuit.
  11. I wish the announcers would start playing up how deadly DB is with the small package finish. Anyway, one thing that sticks out to me is that we're getting a real life issue, one that I think HHH denied involved DB, turned into an angle. Wasn't it something like a month ago that HHH supposedly said that a certain wrestler could be the centerpiece of the promotion, with Vince disagreeing saying that he didn't think that wrestler would make any money? With this angle, it really seems like that it actually was Bryan was the wrestler HHH was referring to.
  12. Everyone is sleeping on Triple H saying he thinks Daniel Bryan is the future of the company. We are fully in some fucking strange bizzarro universe.
  13. My brain is wrecked from raising a 3 year old and sleep deprivation. I have to use my actual name because, fuck...what was I talking about?
  14. Dayum...That's quite the haul for one player, but warranted since Garza has had great stuff since coming off the DL. Even still, Rangers giving up Olt and Edwards, along with two others, for a rental.
  15. I hope the last shot of this series is Deb in Dex's kill room with Dex plunging a knife into Deb.
  16. I feel like I should buy Hotline Miami in honor of Ryan Davis.
  17. I sat there in BW3 in dead silence while the whole restaurant around me lost the fucking minds. It was unreal. I was legit stunned at what happened and it occurred right after a friend of mine said that someday someone wouldn't fall for Silva's bullshit. God dammit Anderson... I think he wins the rematch, but who knows. BTW, if you guys haven't watched it yet, watch the Anderson Silva video blog. Very interesting stuff. A good 6 or 7 minutes of seeing the gravity of Silva's fuck up weigh on him more and more.
  18. You just want links to your reviews to get my eyeballs.
  19. Fuck all of you. This post deserves to be bronzed.
