  1. Yeah we could have used a few more foot on the ropes rather than kickouts in some of the matches, but overall most of the matches went how they should have.
  2. I didn't plan on ordering the PPV, but my brother at the last minute said he wanted to. This PPV was really good. I didn't expect much going in but I was blown away by how it delivered. I shouldn't doubt AEW when they put together what looks like a show that would be a good Dynamite. Cole/MJF vs. Dark Order might have been the weakest match on the card tonight and it was still good. Joe vs. Taylor was a nice slobber knocker but it was nothing compared to Miro vs. Hobbs. Oh my God what a match that was. The crowd turned it into a match that was better than it had any right to be. Luchasarus had probably his best match ever against Darby Allin. Darby can take a beating and he has some miracle spots in him. Christian continues to rule in his role of proxy champion while Luchasarus does all the work. Ruby vs. Statlander was good. I thought Ruby would actually win, but Toni emerging from under the ring looking all out of it and stealing the spraypaint and being mesmerized by it was perfect. The strap match was amazing. For something thrown together at the last minute they over delivered. That might have been the best strap match since Sting and Vader. Bryan wasn't supposed to come back for another month so I'm amazed at what he pulled off. Starks looked great in defeat. Claudio/Yuta vs Eddie/Shibata was good tag match. I was shocked how Eddie got KO'ed by a European Uppercut. I want to see Claudio vs. Shibata after this. Omega vs Takeshita started slow but picked up real quick in it's second half. Was surprised Takeshita won in the manner he did. But it was a great match in the end. FTR/Bucks vs. Bullet Club was a wild match. I didn't expect it to be good, but it way over delivered like everything else on this ppv. Finally we get to the main event and wow. That was a great damn match. I honestly thought Orange Cassidy would survive somehow. Holy hell Moxley beat the shit out of him. Story wise it was epic and Orange Cassidy deserves to be a permanent main eventer after this. Put him in the World Title picture. Overall an amazing show tonight.
  3. I guess Tony made the right call. But it just sucks Phil couldn't play ball with everyone else.
  4. I thought the show was pretty good. Visually it looked good with the crowd. AEW felt big time and I hope its a good sign for them. FTR vs The Young Bucks was my match of the night. Stadium Stampede was pretty good as well. I'm surprised there was no turn on the main event. I guess they must be making a ton of money on the merchandise to keep them together.
  5. This one does hurt. Terry was the absolute best at what he did.
  6. The promo was awesome. The WWE is so good when they do "real" things like this. I liked the tone of it and basically Nakamura was saying he knows how to hurt him and he's gonna hurt him bad. What more can you want?
  7. I missed most of the show tonight, But I made a point to watch Gunther vs. Gable and I was not disappointed. I loved everything about the match and the finish was great. I loved how Imperium came out and made the ring announcer note that Gunther was still the champion. I'll catch up on other stuff I missed on youtube.
  8. Tonight was an all right episode of Dynamite. I missed OC/Yuta, but saw everything from the end of that on. I assumed they were setting up Cassidy vs. Moxley for the International Title. But stadium stampede is a nice bonus for the show. I thought the video of Adam Cole and MJF at Outback Steakhouse and them doing the Crocodile Hunter stuff was funny. Tony Khan losing his shit had to be a gag of some sort about him not controlling the wrestlers. The promo with them in the ring was fine. MJF all ready told the story about him wanting to face Cody and Adam Cole before. But he got me back towards the end. Adam Cole turning on him at the PPV is going to break him mentally I think. The death match was hilarious. I don't know why they needed a bucket of blood, I'm sure Jeff could have tapped a gusher the old fashioned way. But that aside I couldn't stop laughing and that was a good thing. I might actually get this game so I'm sold on that. I agree with the notion that Jeff needs to wear the belt. It was fun to see Joker Sting return. That was my favorite latter Sting persona so it will fit with him doing crazy stuff. I guess they are going to lure Bill Gunn back to finish this feud at All Out with The House of Black. Maybe do a Chicago street fight or something interesting. I thought Bucks/Gunns was all right. The match was rushed so it was what it was. But overall not a bad match. A Bucks/FTR vs. Bullet Club Gold 8 man would be good to see.
  9. Bob Backlund had the best atomic drop. Back when simple moves could be killer.
  10. Last night's show was all right. Nothing special, but I did enjoy watching Otis vs. GUNTHER. I jumped in my seat for the powerbomb at the end. I want more of Otis in general. The guy is so untapped for them. Becky vs. Trish was pretty meh. Becky has this style that is very hit or miss with people and last night was a giant miss. Maybe they'll be able to do something with a cage, but I too see why this match was left off Summerslam. I loved Nakamura's promo...especially when I saw the translated promo on twitter earlier. I can't stand this Seth Rollins so I'm hoping someone...anyone takes the title off him. Of course that person will be cashed in on if not Seth himself so it's all a moot point. Ooooh as for what Shin said to him, I'm willing to guess he said "The kid isn't yours". It's been a while since they've done something stupid like that. Cody/Finn was fine. Cody needs more friends if he's gonna keep getting beaten up.
  11. I thought it was a good show tonight. The eventual turn by Adam Cole on MJF is going to be amazing to watch. I thought the trampoline park bit was funny especially with MJF taking out all the kids. The little girl calling them both nerds was hilarious. RVD vs. Jack Perry was fun. RVD never lost a step so it's fun to see him still bust out the greatest hits. I echo the idea of signing RVD. I'd rather nostalgia pop for him over the broken down Hardy's. But Cole getting a tag match for them for the ROH Tag titles was a nice touch. Aussie Open vs. Cole/MJF should be a fun match. Penta/Rey vs. BCC was all right. I liked how Moxley didn't do anything and he still got a trickle of blood. Loved The Embassy getting beat down by Sting. Sting almost seems to age in reverse these days. Shida vs. Anna Jay was all right. I don't know if I would have made it the main event, but it was all right. Anna missed a big spin kick into the ropes at one point. The four way is probably the best idea for a women's match
  12. Pretty good show for the most part. The first two matches were amazing. I hate admitting that Logan Paul is good, but damn he is good. It was a good match with Ricochet and I liked the finished. Brock vs. Cody was good. Typical Brock match where he kills someone for most of it only for the guy to rally at the end. Ronda vs. Shayna fell flat. For an MMA fight it was pretty bad. The battle royal was fun. Glad that LA Knight won. LA Knight needs to win the Royal Rumble in January if they can keep his hot streak going till then. GUNTHER vs. Drew was fun. I honestly was not interested in Seth vs. Finn. I feared Finn wouldn't win and of course he didn't. The women's triple threat started off slow but it picked up at the end. And I was glad Iyo cashed in and won. But I knew Bianca was winning the triple threat when she posed with that C4 Drink in her entrance. At least Charlotte lost...which is most important here. The main event I thought could have been way more violent. Why were they doing regular wrestling to start. It should have been a fight from the get go. It picked up at times, but I suspected the turn with Jimmy was happening. Can't wait to see the bullshit they spin for him to justify turning on his own brother like that.
  13. Tonight was a pretty good show. I was happy to see Shida win the Women's title. She deserves a good run and I hope she gets it. MJF continues to pull on the heart strings and we are setting up for one of the greatest turns ever and it's going to be Adam Cole who does it to him.
  14. Rampage was all right tonight. I figured The Hardy's would win the tag battle royal and was pleasantly surprised with BIG BILL and Brian Cage winning. Shida vs. Rose was a good match. I also figured they were setting up Toni Storm vs. Shida for ALL IN. Maybe we'll still get that, but gotta get through epsiode 200 first.
  15. This was a pretty good show. MJF and Adam Cole are gold together. I thought for sure tonight MJF was going to turn, but I think they're actually going to make this crazy pairing work. Well up until Cole wants that title shot. Blood and Guts was all right even though there was a lack of blood (minus Moxley doing his routine gusher). When the bed of nails came out, I laughed. All I could think of was the bed of nails scene from Police Academy 3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZzN2UiNAsQ Posturepedic...very good for back. I don't want to body shame anyone, but Kota Ibushi looked like crap tonight. For a guy who's always had such a ripped physique, he looked like he hadn't worked out in months. Overall not a bad Blood and Guts. Just felt like it was missing stuff.
  16. Yeah, this whole thing with Christian and Luchasaurus is not working. Christian should have just won the title in an underhanded manner to begin with. I'd much rather see Christian have people try to go through Luchasaurus to get to him for the title.
  17. That tag match will be in my personal top three of the year. Only thing I wish happened was they went the full 60 mins to a draw. But aside from that, damn what a match. The first fall alone was amazing by itself. So glad Willow won the women's Owen Hart cup. Her smile is infectious and I can't help but want to root for her to win. Was surprised Ricky won in the manner that he did. Hopefully we get more of him and Punk out of this. I also saw on twitter someone say "That had to be Owen Hart type rib to fly Liger all the way over just for that".
  18. I believe the first modern use of using a dead celeb in something new was Humphrey Bogart in an episode of Tales from the Crypt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcVc6K4EvW0 I've been listening to a lot of AI songs lately (which is a whole different can of worms with dead artists) and it's scary how good the technology is right now. All you need is processing power and a prompt.
  19. I missed Starks/Hobbs, but the rest of the show was good. I think this was the best match Jay White has been in with AEW. Finally we get to see some of the Jay White that ruled in Japan. Juice was great too. Can't wait for next week's 2/3 falls. Joe vs. Punk was good for what it was. I mean both guys aren't young anymore and I don't think anyone was expected them to go an hour. It was a good match and I liked the flash pin at the end. Joe continues to be great at suckering people when he goes for the handshake and then locks on the choke.
  20. I was under the impression this and it's sequel were the final Mission Impossible movies. I guess at this point we will see him in outer space. https://variety.com/2023/film/news/tom-cruise-mission-impossible-movies-80-years-old-1235661624/
  21. I take back anything I ever said negatively about Roman Reigns. That was quite the acting performance when he was handing the tribal lay over to Jey. He must be one hell of a method actor to cry on command. The beating of Jimmy was great. This is one of those few times I wish they allowed blood especially after Roman was murdering him with the belt and than the stairs. Good match with Edge and Waller. I liked the ending with Jey being all fired up. TRIAL BY COMBAT. BRING IT ON.
  22. It was a good show tonight. Never gets old seeing Keith Lee yeet a guy across the ring. I was surprised Darby and Cassidy won. MJF and Adam Cole are gold together. I almost want to see them win this thing and win the tag titles.
  23. I thought this show was okay. Nothing special, but man that Rhea vs. Nattie match way over delivered. Great match by both.
  24. I saw Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny last night and I generally liked it. I thought the CGI stuff wasn't too bad. Yes, the plot might have been a little goofy towards the end, but I liked it none the less.
