Brian Fowler Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 I am absolutely not in a position to make fun of a traditionally strong program that is terrible this year, but... It's not even "held them to 119 yards and lost" that is boggling my mind. It's "held them to 119 yards and lost by four touchdowns" that I can't wrap my head around. How do you even look your defense in the eye after that? They held Mizzou to 2.4 yards per play, for fucks sake!
Brian Fowler Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Here's really putting it into perspective: TAMU gained 49 more yards today than Mizzou.
EVA Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 I was dumbfounded by the way that Bama/A&M game played out. I've heard of teams playing better at home than on the road, but this is ridiculous. It's like two completely different Alabama teams. Good thing the Mississippi State and Auburn games are at home. They really aren't out of this yet. Of course, they could just as likely go up to Tennessee and lay another egg this coming week.
Niners Fan in CT Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Eva, I know you say things like that because you don't want to be overconfident but the Vols are terrible. They are not beating Alabama. As for Florida, did I mention that Muschamp has to go?
EVA Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Well, yeah, on paper it shouldn't be much of a game, but on paper, the Arkansas game shouldn't have come down to a blocked XP either. This team has just been really helter skelter this year. I think the starting C is supposed to be back next week, so that should help, though. Muschamp apparently has the worst taste in OCs imaginable.
Brian Fowler Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Last year, I was surprised they kept Muschamp, while saying he maybe didn't deserve to be fired given all the injuries that wrecked Florida last year. He really should have been fired last off season.
Niners Fan in CT Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 It's mindboggling how loyal he is to Driskel.
JLowe Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 It's hard to say that A&M quit during that game, because I'm not sure they even bothered to show up. Utterly undisciplined, complete disarray. And yes, my team eked out a tough win at home against a team we should have beaten by more, causing me to gain ever more gray hairs. I still like the way UT is trending, and think we're gonna be a force to be reckoned with in 2016 and possibly sooner.
