  1. Can I please get this? Please?! 3 years late but still..
  2. Alvarez made another good point about how Bryan is most likely getting the shit houses on the road while Cena's crew gets the bigger cities. I've agreed with Bryan more over the past two days than maybe the past two years combined.
  3. I liked JoJo but I expect Summer Rae to be a drastic improvement. Agreed that Natalya should go.
  4. Time to give it a rest. The only two guys who have successfully moved the needle on PPV buys of late are The Rock and to a lesser extent, Lesnar. PPVs have been trending down for years and Cena didn't save them, CM PUNK didn't save them... nobody has. They are $45 and people have found better ways to spend their money. That's in part why WWE is giving up on the model. It's dead.
  5. The whole sudden acceptance of all-things Batista was strange anyway. Did I enjoy his heel work against Cena? Sure, it was fun for a couple months. But that's about it. Following the feud with Triple H in '05 he pretty much sucked for years and years as the guy on SD! I thought it was fine to have him back but I thought it'd be for a couple matches at the most. Batista as a face on a full time schedule sounds terrible. Plus, someone along the way convinced him he's a "star" and that isn't helping matters.
  6. This made me smile. Heath Slater @HeathSlaterOMRB @ZackRyder can you play the drums 11:51 PM - 26 Jan 2014
  7. Browns guy on Tumblr could have called this one.
  8. There are a million things I'd rather watch than Batista vs. Orton at WrestleMania. They start with Doink spiking Bastion Booger's pizza and end with watching Mr. Kennedy in TNA.
  9. I used to buy every PPV. This was quite a few years ago now. Then it went down to 4-5. Then it went down to 2-3. It's not an economic situation. I have more money now than I did then. Royal Rumble USED to be a can't-miss PPV for me and Id either have people over or pitch in at a friend's house.. one way or another we would all get together. I didn't bother with the Rumble this year or have people over or anything. I watched it "elsewhere" while I had the Grammys going on the TV. Why? Because I couldn't shake the feeling that Batista was winning. We all figured as much. I'm not going to pay to watch some bullshit. If they would have called an audible I would have been somewhat disappointed but you know what? I'd rather be disappointed with more money in my pocket than disappointed with less money in my pocket. If the bullshit continues.. I'm probably out on WrestleMania as well. I hope others feel the same way.
  10. I guess that's what happens when someone who is not nearly an Austin/Rock/Hogan level star is on top for going on TEN YEARS and is literally still the same exact fucking character fighting the same fucking guys he was fighting a decade ago. It's so awful.
  11. Are you guys going to actually discuss the show or are we going to have a hundred more "How bout da payoff?" posts? Anyway, I did think there was a slight possibility that Bryan would be in this but I can't say I'm surprised he wasn't. I didn't trust WWE enough to believe they would make the right decision going forward. This is some bullshit. I did envision the crowd shitting on Batista.. and it happened. And it was pretty cool.
  12. They have A LOT of editing to do on this DVD/Blu Ray release. LOL. Fucking idiots in creative, dude.
  13. Everyone just deciding to cheer for KG and Pierce the whole time and not giving a single fuck about the game is awesome.
  14. Not if you add Hogan. That's been my thought. Ideally, it should probably be Cena vs. Undertaker or Cena vs. Lesnar II but if they really run with the Bray Wyatt thing... the only way it makes sense to me is if he's taken out by the family and Hulkamania returns and runs wild for the save. Of course, I've read that Hogan isn't cleared for anything so..
  15. That conversation was amazing. Alvarez made a good point. Even if you are the biggest Daniel Bryan fan in the world, why the hell would you ever buy one of his t-shirts? They are terrible. Dave did discuss ratings and apparently Cena and Triple H are the two who move the needle but again.. They both agreed that Bryan has never really been given a shot as THE guy.. It was an interesting conversation. Big Dave put some asses in the seats on RAW but do I think he will sustain that interest? Nah.
  16. I have a Top 20 pretty much set in stone right now but I'm searching for a few more films to watch before I submit it.
  17. Wasn't Shawn Michaels one as well? Yep and if we go back a few months.. the speculation was Triple H. Edit: Beaten.
  18. Final Predictions: Longest time in the match: CM Punk [45:08] Entrant #2: Antonio Cesaro Face-Off in front of WrestleMania sign: Batista and CM Punk Most Eliminations: Roman Reigns [8] Shortest time in the match: Xavier Woods [00:07] Surprise entrant: Jake "The Snake" Roberts Comeback entrant: Sheamus Final Four: Batista, Sheamus, Roman Reigns and Big E. Langston Final Two: Batista and Sheamus Winner: Batista
  19. First... you can look at passing yards but it also might help to look at attempts and YPA. Kaep was 20th in pass attempts HOWEVER he was 9th in Yards Per Attempt. Keep that in mind. Alex Smith was 29th in YPA. Boldin had a decent year considering he was facing double teams with no Crabtree and Davis in and out with concussions. Kaep played better when he got his #1 receiver from '12 back? Isn't that expected? You think Wilson might have been more productive the last six weeks if he had a healthy Harvin and/or Rice? I don't care who you are.. you need competent receivers. Even Brady's numbers were far from spectacular without his. And Why would anyone compare Indy's terrible defense to Seattle's great defense? I don't need to know what Alex would have done in Seattle because I witnessed it every time he played the Giants.
  20. Face/Off didn't have Ed Harris, Sean Connery, John Spencer and William Forsythe. Plus, you know, Vanessa Marcil.
  21. It's funny (well, not funny) because it doesn't seem all that long ago.. but actually, no it was like nine years ago. This run at the top for Cena, Orton, Batista, etc.. is absurd in so many ways. You can turn on an episode of RAW from 2005 and it feels like it was filmed yesterday. Just the overall appearance and who is at the top.
  22. I've seen some posts on this but they are scattered throughout the section. This is such an interesting film. Critics love it but I've also talked to quite a few people now who had the same "Oh come on! it's a fucking computer dude!" reaction to it.. I didn't think it was a crazy concept at all considering where he is in his life and maybe where we are headed in the not-so-distant future. Her touches on the concerns many of us have with social networking/technology and detachment, lack of empathy, etc. This actually reminds me of Louis CK on Conan, I'll post the clip later on if I can find it.. This film has a lot to say about love in general as well and I liked how he runs into the same quarrels with the OS that we do in any relationship. He initially questions if Samantha can give him what he's searching for despite the lack of a physical relationship and she later on questions if he's right for her because she finds others who can better understand what she's going through... there's so much to discuss. It's a beautiful looking film too. The sci-fi stamp on this is amazing. Phoenix was great but I haven't read much about Scarlett.. it's strange but I felt she gave a great performance.. I don't even quite know how to explain it. I guess it's comparable to an awesome animated film piece of voice acting but she was excellent.
  23. I'll let you know when Kaep has more than 23 starts.
  24. I don't blame them. How could you top the previous year where Kurt Angle wrestled himself to a five star match?
  25. Maybe this year but what about the previous year where Kaepernick ran for 181 yards 2TDs and threw for 263 yards with 2 more TDs? I think he has a higher ceiling than Alex and that's how Harbaugh felt. I have nothing against Alex.
