AUGUST 2015 WRESTLING DISCUSSION!
Hollywood Cibernetico replied to DEAN's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Well this is fucking depressing... gofundme.com/ggfrankenstein Hope things work out for her. -
TNA knows how to end everything with a fart and not a bang. James Storm, multi-time (13) Tag champion and former WHC ends his career in whimper. Nothing more to see here folks! No big deal. TNA likes to shoot, why not give this guy a loser leaves town match against EC3 as the main event on Impact. Have it go 30 minutes. Send the crowd home happy/sad instead of just Storm loses a match and disappears forever.

I see this on a number of sites. I am surprised WWE hasn't put anything up as it has been at least 40 minutes since this story first broke. R.I.P. to one of the greatest promos of all time. One of the saddest elements of guys like Dusty, Piper, Macho, and Warrior passing is that the art of the insane, over-the-top, and emotional promo has died with them.
-
Alexa Bliss got off easy tonight. Why is it SO HARD for WWE to be consistent with its man/woman violence. Just don't have the women ever hit the men. It just comes off cheap if the man getting slapped cannot get his revenge by chokeslamming his slapper (man or woman) through a flamming table.

The sad/funny thing about Natalie is that this show is just an extension of everyone's personalities. Nikki and Brie come off as they would IRL and I am sure its trumped up a little, but there is a base. Naomi I'm sure is just a sweet hear, and Alicia Fox likes to joke around and play pranks. All of these are extensions that are trumped up a little for the cameras and that's fine. This 'fact' coupled with the constant whack antics of Natalie tells me she is a pretty boring and uneventul person IRL and so any 'Vince Russo' like ideas that the line producers have- they automatically give it to her. This makes Natalie even MORE unbearable than she already is. I definitely fast-forward through her parts if I'm watching it by myself... oh..and my girlfriend's favorite character on the show? NATALIE FUCKING NEIDHART!!!

I don't know why they have kept this guy on papers. He isn't a draw and obviously doesn't want to be there...just let him go.

JULY 2015 WRESTLING DISCUSSION V.2.0
Hollywood Cibernetico replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I've always liked Layla. Always thought she was hot and she was committed to becoming a somewhat decent worker. Her stuff with LayCool makes her time in WWE all worth it. Layla seemed like one of the first WWE female 'lifers' as I could see her easily transitioning from the ring to being the 'face' of Be A Star/Breast Cancer Awareness Month/Whatever WWE Social project is going on at the time. Layla El is one of the handful of WWE Divas that doesn't have any skeletons in her closet and hasn't been caught in any controversy. Good for her for collecting a check for so long, staying fit, becoming decent in the ring, and being a competent promo. -
HULK HOGAN DUMPSTER FIRE THREAD
Hollywood Cibernetico replied to Kevin Wilson's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Complex had a nice little piece and now Vice has followed suit, I am surprised the 'big guys' aren't jumping on board yet? vice.com/read/the-post-hulkamania-wwe-network-is-still-racist-456?utm_source=vicefbus -
This whole thing just feels so low rent. Its all just so small time. This is like the owner of the local Salvation Army fighting with the owner of a local mom and pop store over the avaliable retail space at the other end of the strip mall. Why would Dixie make this deal? What does TNA have to gain from beating GFW at Lockdown? She could've just said 'no' and that would've been it. If GFW wins LL then that means that Dixie would have lost control of TNA not once (by signining her control over to Bischoff), but twice within the last 5 years.

TNA One Night Only PPV Tapings 2015
Hollywood Cibernetico replied to DreamBroken's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
Jessie vs. Al Snow in an Elevation X match? The return of Simon Diamond? Uno vs. Gail Kim? I wish I could honestly say there is NO WAY this shit is going down and that whomever is reporting the spoilers is just having some fun with the internet...but fuck! -
HULK HOGAN DUMPSTER FIRE THREAD
Hollywood Cibernetico replied to Kevin Wilson's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I don't want to turn this thread into a big social rant, but the majority of the people saying that this is all a 'mistake' and even going as far to condone his behavior are white people. Just looking at his Facebook page, you will see a lot of people acting as if this is all some big conspriacy caused to big Hogan down rather than Hulk Hogan being caught in a candid and honest moment. Some of the users then go on to say things like "If black people can say the word why can't white people?", "Everyone is entitled to his/her opinion!", "This should have never been released in the first place!" and talk about how the world is too sensitive and this is all "Liberal PC Bullshit", etc. One guy even went on to write something starting with #WhiteLivesMatter. #‎AllLivesMatter‬, a phrase that has become frustrating among activists because of its insistence upon directing the spotlight away from black victims of police brutality. Instead of recognizing the factor that race plays in these killings, many feel that #AllLivesMatter instead further exacerbates the erasure of black lives by failing to confront the very particular and unique circumstances related to violence against black people. #WhiteLivesMatter shows ignorance and sides with Hogan's beliefs of continuing to kick a race that has been kicked very long. Regardless of whether blacks are senators, presidents, judges, congressman, successful businessmen- there is always someone like Hulk Hogan around leading a bad example which in turn (not directly of course) leads to a white man walking around with a straight face pretending that his life is being threatened and impacted in a negative way because a person of color can vote, own land, run for office, make money, etc. So what would I like to see done? I would like to see Hogan come out and educate his fans as to WHY what he said was wrong and provide some history. Hogan and his friends need to stop using the word 'mistake' to describe his actions. A mistake is me spilling soup on my shirt. That's a mistake. A mistake is me taking a left turn when I was thinking (and should have) taken a right. Those are mistakes. Believing you are having a candid conversation with someone while away from the glitz and glamor is not a mistake. Hogan has yet again caught himself in the fake apology circle a lot of celebrities find themselves in. When endorsement deals, million dollar contracts, etc. start going away then all of a sudden that person is 'sorry'. Hogan needs to come clean and say "Listen this is who I am and this is WHY am believe what I believe!". Let the shit sort itself out from there, but this fake apology tour is bullshit. I have learned a LONG TIME AGO that EVERY entertainer must be separated from his/her work. Michael Jackson was a pedophile, but I love his music. Elvis Presley was a pedophile, but I love his music. John Lennon beat his wife (not Yoko), but I love his music. Chris Beniot did the unthinkable, but I still enjoy watching his matches. Chris Brown can't seem to keep his hands to himself, but I still enjoy watching him dance. This goes on, and on, and on. Hulk Hogan is a racist. Plain and simple. It cannot and should not be excused just because we enjoy his promos, matches, presence, etc. Again, I have a lot more to say about the 'response' to all of this, but this is the 'short' version of it. -
HULK HOGAN DUMPSTER FIRE THREAD
Hollywood Cibernetico replied to Kevin Wilson's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Of course Complex is running this story and the title the company decide to use is this: Hulk Hogan Apologizes for What He Said During His Racist Rant: "This Is Not Who I Am" followed by this nice photo of Hogan (notice the tattoo): -
I have been a long time Lita hater. But I must say she has been looking really good this year. I don't know if its a new diet, being away from the stress of pro wrestling, or what, but she truly looks amazing. Good for her.

I would really like to see the process that lead to this. At some point in time Zuffa brass (the brothers, FLASH (possibly), and Dana) all gave the green light to this. Is the real name stuff Dana's continued desire to be seperated from pro wrestling? I just don't understand how two different billion dollar companies can fuck up something so easy. Outsourcing would have been a really good idea as it would have provided the MMA brands (that sponsored some of UFC's biggest stars) alive while offering some variety. Imagine Bad Boy handling the MW, and Venum handling the BW, and Hayabusa handling the LHW design, etc. It would have been pretty cool. Keeping it in-house with Reebok is all fine and well...but FUCK! I know someone sent Reebok a spreadsheet with all the names and the associated nicknames....sigh...

2015 TNA DISCUSSION THREAD
Hollywood Cibernetico replied to RIPPA's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
Slammiversary was tonight and I JUST NOW FOUND OUT about it. What time is it you ask? Well....the PPV is over. Its moments like that always have me stand back for a moment and applaud this company for not making me give a shit. I'll watch it tomorrow...smh. -
This is what I don't understand about this angle. Nikki does whatever it takes to be the champion and at the top of the division even if it meant going through her own sister. Eventually (as most family relationships do) The Bellas put aside their differences (regardless of how contrived) and began working together again. As heels or faces, I cannot remember but at some point-in-time Paige became involved and took a few loses to The Bellas. Paige then became the biggest hater in WWE and instead of stepping up her game or going to NXT to polish up (kayfabe wise of course), she decides to go on some 'just' crusade and start talking about change as if she is some revolutionary. Paige is SUPPOSE TO BE A FACE, but just comes off as a big baby who is unable to deal with reality and wants to lead a gang assault and 'get help' to dethrone Nikki all so Paige can become Divas champion? Again...HOW IS PAIGE THE FACE IN ANY OF THIS?
-
The most over tag team tonight? THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS. Seriously, these guys need to get the straps this year. WWE, for some reason, didn't want to put it on Harper/Rowan when those two were part of great matches with The Usos and hopefully the same type of treatment isn't given to PTP as they actually have tons of good teams to work with in TBRC, Diego & Fernando, Lucha Dragons, and New Day.

2015 TNA DISCUSSION THREAD
Hollywood Cibernetico replied to RIPPA's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
I agree with Dolfan, I only care about the "business" side of TNA at this point. This company has been so concerned with bringing people BACKSTAGE- well I am there. I really honestly only care about the decisions, drama, and politics in keeping this company afloat. The TV doesn't look bad, but my regular viewership stopped a long time ago. Hopefully Dixie continues to keep the crazy torch let for a few more years. When TNA finally folds I will pour myself a nice pitcher of iced tea, take off work, and read the online finger pointing that will ensure followed by epic rants by Russo, Cornette, Mantel, etc. Fun times ahead. -
2015 TNA DISCUSSION THREAD
Hollywood Cibernetico replied to RIPPA's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
Hindsight of course is always 20/20, but what if TNA took all those millions and told all the 'name' talent to go fuck off. What is post Spike Debut TNA made HARD plays for Hero, Claudio, Sami, Danielson, Briscoes, Steen, Black, Moxley, etc. I know its if came down to WWE vs. TNA- most wrestler would go to WWE, but what if TNA was actually doing what it was suppose to do? Would TNA still be in the same spot due to the shitty booking? Unfortnately, the answer is 'yes'. -
MAY 2015 ANIMATED GIF THREAD
Hollywood Cibernetico replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I watched the Billy and Chuck wedding twice this week and Bischoff's performance was great. The reveal was actually shocking. Everything from start to finish about that wedding was gold especially Billy's 'He ain't pronouncing us NOTHIN!!' -
Global Force Wrestling Debut!
Hollywood Cibernetico replied to The Nature Boy's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
The roster looks promising (I was hoping GFW would stay away from a woman's division), but the promotion might as well fold is Scott Steiner isn't involved somehow. He doesn't need to wrestle. Just have him be someone's manager and give him 10 minutes and an open mic every show and watch the money poor in.
