  1. I always assumed I was the biggest Owen Hart mark on the board, so I'm amused he's made as many lists as Bret so far.
  2. Not only has it not been closed, it now seems like that's the only way you can cash in. At least, that's the only kayfabe explanation I can come up with for Braun not cashing in on Brock immediately the year he won it. Other than Braun being a pussy who's scared of Brock, which presumably was not what the writers were going for.
  3. Eh, they're kind of both villains. The real problem is that Spider-Man is over fifty years old, has had time to become part of the public consciousness, and should therefore be public domain.
  4. Did Andrade win their two matches on Smackdown back in January? I thought Rey won those.
  5. Yes. I thought Johnny as the delusional guy who was convinced he was the hero was compelling. But now... I have no idea why he's a face again.
  6. Charlotte is fantastic, but I don't personally feel she's a more consistent in-ring performer than Becky. At the PPV after 'Mania I recall liking the Becky-Lacey match better than Becky-Charlotte, for example. (Though I was pretty surprised by that.)
  7. Ziggler's a great bumper. If you need a WWE guy to get quickly squashed by a power wrestler, Ziggler's a great choice.
  8. It might have already been announced. I couldn't find mention of it on WWE's website, but that site is a mess.
  9. Does Nakamura have a match announced, and if not are we no longer expecting one. I was looking forward to Nak vs Ali.
  10. Hmm, I suppose he does. I was thrown by the way he doesn't visually change into a Thor-like form, the way Bill and Eric and Jane and Odin-knows-who-else did in the comics. But I imagine MCU Jane will continue to look like Natalie Portman even with Thor's powers at any rate.
  11. Did he? Okay, that makes things somewhat simpler. Thanks.
  12. And now that I've seen Far From Home, I can read this thread and react to the news about upcoming films... Anybody curious how they're going to get to Jane Foster as Thor? Not only is Mjolnir currently, you know, non-existent, but as far as I can recall MCU Mjolnir never even had the "whoever wields it gets Thor's powers" enchantment.
  13. This is hard largely because the MCU has been so consistent. My first reaction to Natural's list was that Ant Man & The Wasp was way too low, but scanning further up his list it's not like it's full of films where I can say "Yeah, that was clearly worse". (I would say that about the original Thor, but I've only seen it once and that was a long time ago.) I expect Dark World and the Iron Man sequels being near the bottom will be a popular choice. I haven't seen The Incredible Hulk. (And it's the only one I haven't seen. I watch too many comic book movies.)
  14. That one was apparently less memorable to me, as I have no recollection of it. I do remember the scarecrow thing he did the year he was fed to 'Taker.
  15. Saw Far From Home myself this week. Excellent film; I think I liked it better than Homecoming. As others have pointed out, Holland and Zendaya are so likeable you can't help but root for them to get together. That being said, though - if Brad becomes a supervillain in a future movie, dude is totally justified.:) As a big fan of the Lee-Ditko era, I like that they incorporated the idea of Flash Thompson being Spider-Man's biggest fan. Flash is such a big part of the classic Spider-Man mythos, and he's been underserved in the film adaptations so far. MCU Flash is very different from classic Flash, but it was still nice seeing him get some character development.
  16. Honestly, I just thought that image was too apropos not to use. But if I were to turn it into a serious argument: I believe lots of people who aren't firmly ensconced in the wrestling bubble still watch 'Mania every year. Whether those people would remember a guy who had a pretty memorable entrance a few years ago but hasn't done much of anything since... maybe? Some of them? I dunno.
  17. Yuka is the "Magical Girl". The "Genius of the Skies" is Io Shirai, who works for Vince.
  18. Nakamura vs Ali and Bayley vs Ember both have a lot of potential IMO. But yeah, none of the other matches excite me. I'm now less annoyed I'm going to be away from Toronto that weekend.
  19. This pleases me, even if it did take creative accounting to get there.
  20. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of a "Make some fucking sense" option that you can turn on. But at least you can always change what the CPU proposes.
  21. My brother got me a book for Christmas called Algorithms to Live By that I really need to finish reading. In the chapter on "Explore/Exploit problems", the author(s?) makes the point that Hollywood's increasing reliance on sequels and established franchises makes perfect sense - if you make the assumption that the whole Hollywood movie studio system is winding down. I mean, it's rational to gamble on the possible production of a new franchise that will make you more money in the years to come if those years to come number a hundred or more. But if you think the game is only going to be running for another decade or two, that gamble is much less appealing.
  22. I love Sheamus, but I may have to call him "She amusing" from now on.
  23. Sorry to hear you feel that way, Burgundy. What can we do to make things better?
  24. Damn, I completely forgot about Lincoln soaring through space on his Moebius Memorial. This episode was even more awesome than I thought. Well, yeah, Genghis Khan as an avatar of evil was pretty racist, I'll give you that.
