  1. The WWE just needs to cut more frequently. If we don't see anything for more than .5 a second, we won't know if it's a thigh slap or a booty smack.
  2. Piggybacking on the tag team trope - I hate it when the face is beat down, staggers to his corner, gets the hot tag... and then two moves later is tagged back in. Come on, man. This happens in modern wrestling, old wrestling, big time PPVs, Dark matches... if the FIP comes back in and gets his ass beat again, it makes him and his teammate look dumb; if he comes back in and is fine and dandy, it makes the match look dumb.
  3. That's too bad. He had some fun moments during the 10 pounds of gold era, and I enjoyed him and Aron Stevens together. Mongrovia will fly its flags at half-mast today.
  4. Solution for name and theme song:
  5. I'd say Punk had two pretty memorable cash-ins, since the second one helped catalyze his heel turn. One problem is that between MitB, the Rumble, and the Elimination Chambers, there are too many established "win this to get a title shot" gimmick matches. But that's part and parcel of the WWE running every good thing into the ground.
  6. Probably just the opposite. And you'd think "Bo Dallas is dating an attractive woman" would give internet creeps hope. Who is Paul Lee? At first I thought it was Brian Lee, except I conflated him with Brian Adams and Bryan Clark, because there were too many Brians in that time period.
  7. It's so weird how goofy Orton is entertaining and yet the rest of the time I don't want to see him at all.
  8. What if she's the illegitimate daughter of the fake Stan Lane?
  9. Fat Spanish Waiter, is that you? I think the idea behind the Nightmare Family is that it's more of training group like they have in MMA, rather than a traditional wrestling stable a la Heenan Family. But that doesn't really come across since they don't really do any vignettes or anything along those lines. I guess by bringing in Aaron Solow they'll have a built-in subplot when the Nightmare Family/Team Taz feud reignites.
  10. It also doesn't hurt that Nakamura's pose is cool, and Black's is... sitting on the floor like he's in kindergarten.
  11. Two things: 1) The Dr. Britt 2-pack comes with two Cody figures? Is that right? That's got to be a rib or something. 2) The pose on that Seth Rollins shirt is verrrrry similar to the pose on the Exalted in Heaven shirt. I mean, there's only so much you can do with bearded white messianic figure types, but the timing's a little unfortunate.
  12. "You deserve it!" clap-clap-clapclapclap Big CFL fan here.
  13. I love/hate how any move done on the outside of the ring is roughly 10x more devastating. Whether or not you hit the ground with any force.
  14. I mean, 6 out of 13 matches listed above are women's matches. That's a pretty solid percentage. Although if you want to cut the Gunn Club match to make it an even 50/50 you have my unequivocal support.
  15. Bryan can get the SD shot via Elimination Chamber/what-have-you. Orton rekindles his feud with McIntyre, gets the belt back, wrestles Edge at Mania. Seems pretty straightforward.
  16. If Cody was feuding with someone on the roster, the complaints would be about how of course he's going to put himself over/not give enough/whatever. If someone else on the roster was feuding with Shaq, the complaints would be that they're wasting that talent in a pointless angle with a celebrity. I don't care for the angle a bit, but let's not act like we wouldn't be complaining about something else if it wasn't going on.
  17. At best, as a singles competitor Jungle Boy would be sixth or seventh on the face depth chart. As part of a team, he's regularly positioned near the top of his division, and has plenty of time to grow into a singles star if that's the way they decide to go with him. Also, I like Luchasaurus, and I bet he moves at least as much merch. Don't underestimate the appeal of a wrestling dinosaur.
  18. It was filmed in England, but only one member of the band is in it. Their second hit came later and only cracked the Top 20 in the US, although it did better in Canada than Safety Dance did. Quick, tie it back into wrestling.... Um, people often conflate them with Men At Work, which was also the name of a WCW tag team.
  19. The Sklars have been posting (not-great-quality) recordings of Cheap Seats on their Youtube channel, if anyone's interested.
  20. Nick Comoroto has a great look and I would love to have his straitjacket/trenchcoat in my wardrobe. That and The Brian Kendrick's jacket. He's also one of my favourite Dark staples, and I hope they start giving him a few wins from time to time. Rather than the Gunnzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
  21. I'm sure that in a few years she'll be sick of WWE and wrestling somewhere worth watching again.
