  1. Really liked this gem from the Observer: Why one would provoke Lesnar I have no idea. But I can only imagine what would happen if he did do something.
  2. With the limitations put on CAWs I found no need to even try Universe Mode. It was the main thing that kept me playing for quite some time. For a ROH roster I downloaded some of the wrestlers but also ended up using in-game characters like Cesaro. It kind of works but it's not the same. No ROH ring to put it in, and there's some goofy way of unlocking rivalries. Might pick up and play again one of these days, but between cool free PS4 games and UFC I've got enough going on. Toss in shit on DVR and not much time to watch it and that puts the game at a low priority.
  3. If there weren't so many podcasts I'd be more inclined to hear Flair's show. But at this point I can barely keep up so he might fall into one of the ones I hear about more than actually hear. Colt's sadly fell into that territory now, and I like his. Taz's show fell by the wayside too, save for certain episodes. The fact that the episodes are pretty much on-demand certainly helps my "I'll listen whenever I want, but don't care to now" mentality.
  4. After reading his story in FSM I'm really hoping he gets a shot. Never heard of Kris or saw his matches, but damn is that one helluva story. Sounds like he really deserves it.
  5. Aw, I forgot about Aerostar/Evans. That was such a fun match. I'm normally not a fan of the Canadian Destroyer, but the top-rope version did look pretty good. Nice to see this version of Evans. Not following his lucha career I last saw him at ROH. Good to see he's got a good heel vibe to him. Also remembered Striker trying to pronounce a Mexican phrase properly and was so cautious to get it right. Upon saying it Vampiro says "I love you". It's the little things that make Vampiro a surprisingly great color commentator. If he's feeling the love and is super into everything, it just makes me into it as well.
  6. The skeleton crew (literally for once!) was such a highlight of the show. This is one of those angles that is guaranteed to attract non-wrestling fans, it's straight up cool as fuck. The 7-way was insanely fun. I'm glad Fenix won for two reasons. One, he's fucking awesome. Two, that medallion can be used to up his abilities when fighting Mil Muertes. The idea of a cosmic battle with super abilities can be goofy elsewhere, but in this case it's amazing. I can't wait to see how this unfolds. And Mundo's turn of sorts makes sense in that he's pissed he didn't get the number one contender's match. Given the animosity between him and AEP before that I'm down with them having a quality feud.
  7. Too bad you don't see/know her anymore, otherwise I'd suggest playing that episode. As it is I imagine she's somewhere listening to that episode and saying to herself "Hey, I fucked these guys!" What a funny world this can be.
  8. Aw, man, it comes back in September? *looks up ways to speed up time* Thinking back to Bobbi taking the bullet, I'd be interested in a spinoff with her and Hunter. It's a compelling story of they used to be married, they love/hate each other and aren't afraid to have a fling once in a while. I like how after finding she was with the other Shield it led to this moment. There's a damn fine love story in all this, and it's been neat how it's been shown. Which is why the Fitz/Simmons story is at this point heartbreaking. They've been friends, and Fitz showed feelings underwater only to come out of it not all there. Then when he gets his bearings there's that awkward tension, and somehow it got better. They became close again and Simmons was finally up for reciprocating those feelings. It kind of gave a nice warm feeling to end the season...only for her to be swallowed up. How different will she be? I'd imagine too different to be back to how things were. But again, it's been wonderful how they've portrayed this story. I know the season had some misses, but things like these are why I love this show so much. You get love stories, stories of finding long lost parents, and whatever else. All with the Marvel twist we love. I love this show.
  9. I love this glorious thread. Thank you, good sir! Pretty sure that would make the rounds online if nobody's done that already.
  10. I was beyond delighted to see this on TV again. One because it's Roddy the Piper /Santino, and two because it's such a cool concept for a movie. Couldn't watch due to Flash/AoS/O's game, but can't wait to sit down and watch this. Battle Wizard sounds so damn absurd I feel I missed out on something special. Need to see if that's airing again. I'm also curious about Web of Death tomorrow night. It in theory sounds like fun, not sure how good it is but will check it out.
  11. That was an exciting episode, time just flew on by. Just going to put a bunch of random thoughts in the spoilers: I really can't wait for the next season. It's a damn shame we have to wait so long to see what happens.
  12. As much as I wish was at the show, I'm super excited for the IPPV Friday. Also helps I have more interest in NJPW than last year, so this is going to be a fun show.
  13. What's sad is I'm while I'm in a safe area, I just have to go 5 blocks and it won't be hard to find. Moving on, Jim Ross has his show in Baltimore Saturday. Not sure if I'm looking forward to hearing the story yet again about killing animals when younger, but got a deal on VIP tickets. Should be a fun time, and I am awfully low on the BBQ sauce. Still not sure about Payback the next night though. But it's not often I can say there's back to back wrestling-related nights worth a damn going on in Baltimore so that's cool.
  14. Yeah, I missed that part. Whoops. Looking into it the movie sounds like fun, added to the queue. And I'm considering what libation to pair with this fine movie.
  15. Checked some reviews for the LG G4, and it doesn't sound like the phone I want to get. If it was a couple years ago, sure. But right now I'm still leaning towards the S6. Of course, it's hard to to willfully pony up wads of cash for the phone, so I might have to wait regardless. But unless there's plans to release a phone soon that matches or outperforms the S6 that's my choice.
  16. I was surprised how good JYD sounded. I for a bit thought that was really him. And similar to your post, Shane, I'm looking forward to more episodes to see what my wife thinks of it.
  17. It was, from April 24. It was a large conversation.
  18. Was just about to do that when their most recent tweet said they'll have a limited run starting at 8pm. Time to get my credit card ready.
  19. What's the movie called? I'm going to need to see this ASAP.
  20. Finally got around to the Monday Night War episode and heard him talk about him and his cousin at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Yoko Ono story was an interesting one, and he also met Paul McCartney. The first interaction was fine enough, but Chris couldn't help himself next time around. He didn't want to be annoying to Paul, and ended up doing just that. Who the fuck offers security service to him anyway, just talk to him like a normal person. I really am not on the Jericho hate train, but the proverbial coal supply for said train is not going to run out anytime soon.
  21. Some of the main people behind Banjo-Kazooie had a Kickstarter for a new game. It's not a sequel, more of a "spiritual successor" (that's what many called it) It far exceeded their base goal and looks to be coming to damn near every platform. It looks like tons of fun.
  22. I'm a bit bummed about Silent Hills being cancelled, but am not surprised considering Konami's situation. The idea of Guillermo Del Toro and Norman Reedus being in on it had me interested to see how it would have worked. They technically did announce the removal of the demo, but it wasn't widespread.
  23. A friend of mine got the S6 Edge so I had the chance to check it out. The side panels feel weird and might take getting a little used to. The side panel is a thing, but seeing it up close I'm not sure it's a thing I need in my life. You can have set contacts and all, and with a back and forth swipe get various notifications including news. But the point of it is to be hands free, so unless there's an option not sure it's worthwhile for me. Hard to get a grasp on performance as he hasn't loaded the phone with many apps yet. He's going to add some by Friday and is cool with me testing them out. If there's noticeable improvement with app use compared to the S4 then I might be leaning towards this. Still need to compare it with the G4, but it's at this point down to two phone. Why is the OnePlus not tied to Verizon? At this point I might say to hell with them and switch to another carrier. Especially if the second version smokes the first one.
  24. Just got back from watching Age of Ultron. Not sure if I liked it as much as the first Avengers, but it was a very fun time. Thought the story of the new characters was really well-done, and James Spader was the absolute best Non-spoiler notes, the only time I ever find Scarlet attractive at all is as Black Widow. Not sure why, but doing anything else she doesn't do anything for me. And Tony Stark wore what I can only describe as the greatest shirt I've ever seen. It's an absolute must-buy. http://bna78.com/shop/t-shirts-men/bruce-lee-gung-fu-scratch-v-neck/
  25. I'd pay good money to see Ambrose gives his views on and promote Psychic Bigfoot. And halfway through the Dean interview, goddamn this is so much fun And Dean is exactly what I'd expect from him. Love it.
