  1. I would buy the New Day socks in a heartbeat. They have to be at least a pair for each guy. One day I'll wear Kofi and Woods. Next day, Woods and Big E. It's like the Freebird rule for my feet. WWEShop, get on this, stat!
  2. I really don't want to visit TNAMecca's site if possible, but is there a site that has the best of what's been said about Dave's report? I'm curious how far off the deep end this has been.
  3. So some prototype images have gotten out for the ROH figures. They look pretty darn good, though something appears to be off with Mark Briscoe (that's why they're called prototypes) I'm seeing myself getting these. http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/roh-figures-series-one-reveal
  4. You could say he likes to deliver a verbal "Yambag Yahtzee" It's too bad Madden is on JR's show last week. First time around he wasn't that bad, but I just really don't want to hear him. Maybe if anything I'll catch the monologue to see if he mentioned anything about the Baltimore show.
  5. I would love to see that happen, honestly. It might not happen if Balor gets called up, but that would be a helluva pairing. Balor's entrance was some next level stuff with the spiked cape and eyeball on the back. He's a great wrestler, but with the specials it's still mainly about his entrance. Really wish he'd be more vicious to reflect his demon form. But it was good match against Tyler, who had a killer entrance as well. Bayley and Charlotte as friends is a beautiful thing to see. Going from Bayley's quest to be respected by her to now Charlotte willfully hugging her is a great story in and of itself. It's one of those things where if you watch this from the start you're rewarded with cool shit like this. Nothing wrong with Rhino/Corbin (right guy won) or the tag title match, but they're not standouts. Didn't see Alexa as Trish-like in terms of looks until the heel turn. Holy cow, more of this please. It's amazing how so damn good Sasha/Becky was. If it was a lesser woman looking like Becky did I'd be way too focused on that. But the match overshadowed any trivial thoughts like that and was far away the MOTN. And it's weird a match technically under the WWE banner is a surefire MOTY candidate, but this is. The arm work was on point and the action was tremendous. What sealed it for sure was Becky's reaction. It reminded me of Okada's tear-filled reaction at the Tokyo Dome show and that's a good thing. I need to see this again ASAP. It's great they did a hate-filled match with Zayn/Owens that really put Sami in no danger in regards to the shoulder. That was well laid out. Still can't believe Joe showed up. I saw him last time when ROH came to Baltimore and there was that feeling he'd be WWE-bound. I know he's go the Rhyno contract, but it's crazy to think I had one more chance to see him live before going there. I let out an audible scream before biting the crap out of my shirt when he came out. It hasn't even sunk in yet how many ROH/indy guys from years past are now in NXT and WWE. I'm going to look back at this a few years from now and go "Holy shit, did that really happen?!" And what's cool is now you have Uhaa Nation who is kind of on the "newer" generation of indy stars due to Evolve and the like. More often than not I get more excited for LU than NXT on Wednesday nights. But this show is a clear reminder that you can have multiple flavors of wrestling on a national basis and it can be SSSOOOOOOO much fun to watch. What a wonderfully crazy time we're in, folks.
  6. What I can't help but wonder is would it have made any difference if it was any other wrestling show? ROH might have a tough time as well because they're not WWE. Not defending TNA at all because it's TNA, but sounds like DA really didn't want to give them a chance.
  7. And to follow-up on that, a quick search shows why that should never be used. Had no idea about this, so good to know. And yeah, that means none of these shirts will be in my collection. Oh, well. One article on why the Hideo shirt is not a good idea (really hope they fix that in a future shirt) http://thewandereronline.com/why-one-should-never-use-the-japanese-rising-sun-flag-by-dongwoo-kim/
  8. I just bookmarked this particular page. If I need a quality pick-me-up, the dancing gifs will do the trick. Thanks, fella.
  9. Will post more tomorrow but it's blowing my mind reading this. It's really stating to sink in now. Instead of fanboying right now like i wanna do I'm just going to sleep as a VERY happy man. And don't forget Del Ray as one of the main trainers. And fuck, if you want toss in guys like Claudio, Pac and Danielson (if he's ever wrestling again) and holy fucking shit this is amazing.
  10. Only if it leads to a final match that somehow has Cliff Compton and Doc Gallows on the opposition.
  11. I might be the only one, but there's worse things to put on WWE TV than back to back matches featuring some pretty awesome teams. I'm sure they'd make it work somehow.
  12. Thanks for the clarification, that makes lots of sense now. And now that I know that, I'm wondering if that chant will catch on. Has a pretty good chance of it happening.
  13. That Hideo one is awesome, would consider buying that. The other two? No, thanks, was hoping for better designs than that.
  14. I mentioned in the general wrestling thread I had no hesitation on skipping the Payback show since it was by my place. Had a grand ol' time at my parents' house, ate lots of food and played with the nephews. All while having no regrets about not going to the show. So when watching the PPV main event I couldn't help feeling a bit of regret. That was tremendous, and upon second viewing it was even better. The shitty Baltimore crowd I knew and loathed actually gave a damn which was great. The Shield segment in particular was something I wish I was there for. The New Day had a fun match, and the celebration with the milk was pure gold. I figured Cena/Rusev would end that way but agree in the constant ref checks were not good.
  15. Say what? Might need an explanation because my mind's going in a different direction when reading that name. I could Google it but am afraid of what results would show up at my work.
  16. I was reading that post while imagining him with the Brock Funco figure and he has an epic maniacal laugh throughout all that. And Ebay has decent prices for the figure so I'm just going to avoid Walmart (as is tradition) and get it there. EDIT: Would anybody be interested in a topic about WWE figures and such? Been considering getting that going again.
  17. Of all the things I remember about Kane, it's today's date I remember the most. As dumb as those skits were, looking back I get a helluva chuckle out of that. I still crack up thinking of him saying "Don't SAY that!!!!"
  18. Did she walk 500 miles to fuck The Proclaimers? This post deserves all the likes. Regarding Corgan and TNA, I would direct everybody to Stone Cold's 2nd part of the Shane Douglas interview. Shane pretty much said that any ideas he had fell on deaf ears despite being proven right. I'm not saying Douglas is the same guy as Corgan, but considering who's been in and out of TNA in similar roles it's a little concerning. The only real difference with Corgan is due to the surprising mainstream coverage they feel they have to at least try to listen.
  19. Was checking the channel guide for El Rey yesterday and it had a pirate movie listed twice that day. It was apparently from 1948 and starred Gene Kelly and Judy Garland. Didn't see the first airing of it, but the one at 11pm was definitely not related to pirates. Or from 1948. I have Comcast. Did anybody else get this because it was confusing to see that listed.
  20. Greek women are super attractive, that's for sure. Only thing is many of them have huge egos and are snobbish. It's a real turnoff for me. Luckily Trish and the two Marias don't have that ego like they do. Also remembered another reason why I don't care for going to the PPV tonight. Chanting "Husky Harris" on Wyatt's debut is pretty bad.
  21. Normally don't do double posts willingly, but the separate these thoughts I will this time. Baltimore has been getting some damn fine wrestling events lately. I'd go to Payback but the thought of getting upper level tickets is not kosher with me. That part of the crowd knows they won't be on TV and couldn't care less to react to anything. I see no point in wasting money on that when I can see it just fine on the Network. But it's cool it's held here. What I did willingly spend money on was seeing Jim Ross last night. Got VIP tickets and met him beforehand. He appreciated the can of Old Bay (it's a Baltimore thing, and it rules) and he was pretty damn nice. He had his stories, starting off with how great Baltimore is then going into his routine of sorts. He thankfully didn't mention anything about killing animals, but did talk about Leroy Mcguirk wanting to kill Ted Dibiase. That's what happens when Ted dated Mike for some time. Also told a helluva story about Ric Flair that made us laugh and think "Of COURSE Flair would do that!" Good stories. The Q&A went a tad long, but were generally decent questions. But mothafuck the guys who asked about Benoit and Mr. Andersons's last day at WWE. Why they asked it I don't know. But it was a great time. On top of that, it's pretty rad I could tweet JR and he responds about the show. That's pretty cool. Oh, and to top it off, Seth Rollins threw the first pitch at the Orioles game. Adam Jones is a huge fan so he had his replica belt and was hamming it up. And for good measure the O's players came out to WWE themes. There's a couple MCW shows that seem like fun, and ROH coming back in July. I love this town.
  22. I'll put it like this: As a Greek guy Maria is the hottest Greek I've ever seen. She somehow got hotter over the years and we could go on about her ass and such. Only thing to say about that is the NJPW ass cam is popular for a reason. But beyond that after leaving WWE she did interviews and showed she has tons more to offer than we ever thought. It's great to see she's showing that in ROH and deserves a ton of respect.
  23. I think this is close to what would have happened to Skyler if he actually followed through on it: For anybody else, that face would be weird. For Brock, that's his "I'm fucking killing you" face.
  24. I kind of like the Kruger character but felt Adam Rose just couldn't possibly go far. But holy cow it's impossible not to root for him now. I might not like the character, but I hope he gets every chance to find his groove and go as far as possible. I would be 10000% on board with him as a face and a family man. He could take something so real and turn that up to show how badly he wants this. And in today's WWE it could still resonate with the crowd. I've always liked Xavier Woods, especially when finding out he's going for his PhD. It's easy to see why his references to nerd culture would go over Vince's head, but all in all he seems like a great quality guy. He's doing a great job in heel New Day and I'm so glad for him. Corey did nothing for me while he was wrestling. It was after he had to retire that I started to feel for him, but he's doing a great job. His story was something else, had no idea he has three kids. His story of having one too many concussions did remind me of Daniel Bryan, it sounds eerily similar in parts. With Daniel's recent announcement it makes me wonder if he'll be in a similar situation as Corey in the future. Still need to see the bonus footage for Big Cass and Breeze.
