Yeah, pretty much. After slogging through SD when 36th Chamber came on everything got so much better. Any word yet on what Godzilla movies are coming on next week? I love watching them, but am hoping for more variety this time around.

Really fun show. Was interesting watching it at work, especially with Nia/Bayley where I was super into it. When she won I really wanted to react in some way and it took some effort to not do that. Loved Asuka/Emma, Emma looked strong and they had me guessing at the end with the attempted screwy finishes. I liked the tag title match and they had me going near the end when Enzo/Cass did their finisher. If only Cass wasn't so in the moment he could have avoided the save. And the chants for Enzo/Cass had me laughing. Crews/Corbin did nothing for me, and I like both guys. In terms of match placement this should have been the buffer match between Bayley/Nia and the main. A similar deal happened at Brooklyn where after Bayley's match I didn't have as much excitement as I should have had for the main. Similar situation happened this time around. Regarding Bayley/Nia, I wish Nia was knocked out with that choke and didn't tap, definitely a booking misstep. But they could totally spin this as Nia knowing she was ill-prepared with her smiling and the song and the cocky pins. With the legdrops they didn't have the air they normally do in her squash matches. Why not spin that into her knowing she didn't crush Bayley with it like she normally does. I'd be happy as can be if Nia goes all "Fuck this", gets super pissed off and the music is more evil. A better finisher that looks more powerful would be good to. As for the crowd, I loved the song they did for her when they showed clips from the house shows. While I liked it for the beginning of this match, they really should have dropped that. Joe/Finn was technically good and I liked what they were doing with the match. But man did it miss the hate that it should have brought. If this is Finn's attempt at being pissed off with the demon side, then changes need to be made fast. The Jack the Ripper thing was what it was, loved the body paint and the back especially. The aforementioned buffer match of Crews/Corbin would have done wonders to get me into this, but it is what it is.

DECEMBER 2015 WRESTLING - Try 2

I actually really liked Alice. I don't listen to Cornette's podcast nor care to really, but I heard a lot about how she wasn't liked on there. She was part of the VIP Lounge with MVP and I really liked her on there. She wasn't parroting ideas and was more giving her take on a topic. So at least for that she'll be missed (well, by me at least) She did mention Jim's views on there and she did say she wasn't cool with it. Didn't sound horribly pissed off about it, but did say she tried to take him to task. -
Dawson is the bald headed guy.

Mainly to avoid spoilers. For Beast in the East I woke up and turned on wifi on the phone. Right away WWE spoiled the result of Finn/Owens. So pissed off about that one. And besides, when it's slow as anything at work it's a good way to kill time.

As much as I want to gripe about this airing at 3 EST, I don't see the sense in that. People in the UK have to watch wrestling live in weird times all the time. So sure, no complaints here. Now I do wish it aired Saturday instead of Wednesday, but again, UK puts up with seeing Raw late at night. The only thing I'm hoping for is nothing insane goes on at work for two hours. That's all I ask. But yeah, really hyped for the show.

Really wish they had a show closer to Maryland (Philly would be a great option) But I'm hoping later next year they'll have more cities to go to. And Library Dude, you and the other folks who went to that show deserve a billion gold stars. The chants for Jordan/Gable and Bayley were tremendous.

That is definitely one of the top shirts they've made this year. Holy shit that's fantastic. EDIT: Just looking at this more, and am in such awe of it. They absolutely nailed it, whether people know what it's about or not it's an outstanding design. -
I'm delighted to know if Smackdown is not worth watching I'll always have 36th Chamber to keep me entertained. It's like a movie version of comfort food for a cold night.

Bayley put videos up of the crowd doing those chants. That was so wonderfully awesome, seemed like a helluva crowd. -

Absolutely, Godderz really impressed me in that one. -

I normally make the mistake of watching this right after NXT. So after a normally awesome show in NXT, I pretty much "hatewatch" TNA. Decided to hold off seeing this week until today and what a difference. Don't care for Sheera so just avoided that match. But I noticed starting in Godderz/Hardy match how suprisingly good Josh and especially Elijah can be. Compared to what we normally get with WWE this was great. And really loved the main event, awesome last few minutes. And again, I'll give Josh credit and say he brought the urgency in his calling. Good stuff all-around. -

Between the Asuka and Bayley shirts, I'm pretty sure at this rate my wife will have as many wrestling shirts as I do. Considering how many I have that'll be quite something. -
Well, is it really a heel turn if he's being forced to do it? In that situation no matter what situation you're fucked. But if he's going to risk losing somebody, might as well be the guy he barely knows.

DECEMBER 2015 WRESTLING DISCUSSION THREAD
NikoBaltimore replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I've looked around for one, but haven't found anything other than something like a "Wrestling Booker" game that I don't think had any reviews and cost money, so I didn't download it. Along the same lines, has anyone bought the WWE 2K mobile game? Considered buying that, but passed when I saw it was $8. Looking at it it just didn't seem like a worthwhile option. You might be better off with those MDickie games. I've enjoyed his Wrestling Revolution and Booking Revolution games, and the MMA one he has now is fun too. -
I thought they would have had Josh be a face because he had some likeable qualities to him. Hopefully him as the entitled heel takes off.

I'm a die-hard Ravens fan, but even I said "Nah, fuck that game, I'd rather watch Raw." They better thank their lucky stars that was the game this week. if it was a game people cared about they'd have been slaughtered in the ratings.

Aw, man. Now I'm picturing how a Pentagon, Jr. presidential run would be. Broken arms for everybody!

Finally managed to submit somebody after all this time. Had to beat the absolute dogshit out of my opponent (hit signature a couple times and weakened the area) but got Meng to win with the Tongan Death Grip. By the time I went to submit him my bar was huge and it was easy enough to do it. Very satisfying win, but still hate the submission system.

There has to be some kind of payoff and there will be, but after killing off Ward what else is there? I can see the older guy (name escapes me) going first once Ward really gets tired of him. If anything they'll have a cliffhanger of some sort that "ZOMG, this person might die in another planet!" and we'll have to wait until next year to see if that's the case.
-
Then that's really gotta suck for folks like Cal and Devin. You're let go already, only to be put on TV and let go again.

Coulson was a fucking badass and it ruled. The opener caught me off-guard and am little bummed they killed her off. But the guy is craving revenge in the worst way, and will dive into another planet to get it. BTW, that was some serious TV magic to get him to dive straight down like that after jumping out of an airplane. And Mack isn't fully selling me on playing the tough leader role in this, but do like him trying to figure this out before going on the mission.
-
That was such an abrupt ending. I was amused by them saying "You get a raise, and you get a raise, and YOU get a raise!" Then they show Cal and out of the blue say "Just going to cut to the chase, we're going to let you go." It was almost humorous how they tried to set that up. But poor Cal, it's hard to get past the shit he went through (unless you're Orton)

I'm very happy to see WCW/SMW/Mid South added and hope they continue to add more. The best way to encourage that is to get as many people watching as possible so I'll be sure to check them all out. I love the new shows, but putting these shows on are the main reasons this network should exist. Not just to see all that WWF/E has to offer but also get a true history lesson. This is a very encouraging sign.

I'd be down for them as a team in the sense they're long-time NXT guys still finding their footing. For names I'd go with Perfect Drifters. Why yes, I did have Perfect Strangers on the mind.
