Good lord is it weird seeing a pro wrestling show to hype up a real-life fight in Bellator announced on a show where Wheelock said that most of the time in MMA, guys don't actually hate each other.

Maybe they can have Babalu come out of retirement to face Angle. Or they'll just spend six figures to bring in Bob Sapp to win the X Title. Or TV Title since it just disappears for eons anyway.

I remember when Christian first came in and they did a side-by-side talking head interview with both guys and Brown came off as so much more of a star in every way. He had a presence about him and they really should've put him over for the world title in January of '05 on PPV but...Jarrett needed to retain. I think that might've been the defense he had before a match with Nash where the guitar was banned, so he used a cello instead. And then it broke.

The matches were largely good, but the UX match was either just boring or I'm completely numb to them. Very weak show promo-wise, which is strange given that Impact is usually awesome with promos. The show started with Dean Hill's being fine and never really got better. Dixie backstage was laughable. ECW is quite the weird show, being dedicated to Sandman and starting with Dreamer talking about bookers and Joey Styles explaining all of the stuff with wacky cut-ins.
