  1. Exorcist III has a pretty good rep on here. Creepshow 2 we fight about however. I will defend it to the death.
  2. Is there any French wrestling that was filmed, besides that one gem that I believe was unearthed by Schneider recently (or at least ended up on his last comp)?
  3. Blatty's book was fucking horrible, and I knew that when I was barely pubescent reading it. So was what I managed to read of Legion. If he really managed to get the film's cut changed then I'm appalled. Lawful Metal, I just watched the end of Prince of Darkness on TV and saw that scene in your sig again -- so awesome. Watched Seven Psychopaths again last night and it's still awesome. It might be incredibly "meta" but I could care less. The Vietnamese killer story at the end tears me up bigtime.
  4. http://cancha.typepad.com/rompe_huesos/2012/10/tr%C3%ADos-de-miedo-2.html No idea how to post the images on here but some are fantastic, especially the Perro one and the magazine cover. Apparently ohtani's jacket managed to steal one for his lucha history thread.
  5. Popitekus is indeed one big bastard as I've heard. I was expecting someone masked and of a more Porky-esque stature, but he's built more like a brick shithouse instead. His name is also one of the most linguistically pleasing both spelled and spoken that I've yet to encounter in wrestling. Despite that pseudo-Death Valley Driver the first fall ends pretty flat with flubs from both big men. After the enormous levels of hate on this set seeing something that is so "good clean fun" involving someone like Pirata Morgan is strange to the point of off-putting. Atlantis is flashy as usual but it doesn't really matter much. Right when you think tercera caida is going to pick up with some big dives it just ends and everyone has a love-fest. Going towards the bottom half for me.
  6. Harris would be so much better than Helms in its own insane way. Helms will have to pull of a miracle. A miracle of Funny Or Die stunt-casting.
  7. I'm with Fowler. I saw the theatrical on TV as a kid and it ended so succinctly (and with fucking TUBULAR BELLS) that I will never trust a director's judgment again after seeing Friedkin's cut. Though he is a genius, and the spider walk should be in the original version. Personally I prefer The Omen to The Exorcist. Was going to make a really crude reference after that but I will respect others religious beliefs. In a Raven kind of way.
  8. No love for the WWE App I guess? Portable, not as delicious?
  9. That just made me imagine Dolph trying to springboard out on Cesaro who uppercuts him and he smacks the back of his head on the apron.
  10. WWE needs to stop hiring people that design logos for restaurant franchises. A couple of those look like they could be KFC ideas
  11. That might be the least flattering I've ever seen Flair dressed.
  12. I watched The Exorcist a couple years back with a college audience at an art theater and it went over like a wet fart. Not even razzing it just, "that was boring and not scary". Kids these days, no patience. On the other hand, Night of the Living Dead went from mockery to slow, mounting discomfort amongst them. I went from being furious to very, very happy.
  13. Damien 666 did other wrestlers' spots in Japan. AJ Briscoe should be the half-brother trying to get them back to the church and reject their drunken, gun-toting ways.
  14. Just watched Eric Andre get beat up by Beefcake and an unknown guy in an Octagon mask while Shieky Baby looked on and rambled. Only on Adult Swim, folks.
  15. Did Rok from Sadistik Exekution draw that logo for them?
  16. Ah the Castrol GTX Instant Replay... it takes me back. I just thought about why laying the chair the opposite way against an opponent would look more logical, so they wouldn't have to hold it, but then I realized it would probably hurt way more when you hit it and if you laid it the wrong way the top part may blast you in the face.
  17. No love for Yatsu either, for shame. Ditch hosts a pretty good '70s match with Go vs. Fujnami here: http://www.mediafire.com/?9vtwd208bukbwla And if anyone can upload the Space Jews match to Youtube I would be deeply indebted and grateful, always wanted to see that. EDIT: There's actually two more! http://theditch.us/050s80s.html I have no idea which one I downloaded. Go was pretty spry back then.
  18. Yeah that pretty much nails both guys perfectly. "Broad strokes" being Chicana's punches.
  19. I refused to read anything but the first few line or two from the previous reviews for this one. Don't think something this good on paper should be spoiled. Mano a mano! This starts out really scrappy. Satanico is just grinding into Sangre and they keep splitting off until the crowd boos and Satanico points out there is ALREADY MONEY ON THE MAT, so it's time to give them what they paid for. A short headbutt from Sangre starts it off and now they're just beating on each other and grinding each other into the ropes. Satanico hits a punch/slap you can loudly hear over the crowd and Sangre takes those big turnbuckle bumps. Una caida ends with an armbar/side headlock on the mat? Weird. The receipt for that Satanico punch is even louder. He keeps egging on Sangre, going punch drunk, jumping his from behind and biting him. Tercera is the best as it breaks out in a full-on slugfest outside the ring and up the aisle, into the crowd with both guys whaling on each other and tripping over the seats. Finally the ref is fed up and counts them both out (empate?) and we have the setup for a probable hair match that nobody films. Goddammit. Despite the slow pace this was a mean match. Satanico is so great demanding to be punched over and over and Sangre does not let up. Don't know where this stands but it's solid as hell.
  20. Nevermind. I was sitting on the toilet and thought "oh yeah... Mandela just died." At least I didn't inadvertently post a photo of Col. DeBeers.
  21. Is it the nudity or the watermark being South African (and likely apartheid-era)? Honestly I didn't read the watermark entirely until you mentioned it.
  22. I have no idea what the context behind this one is. Also:
  23. because we can all use more Don Leo in our lives. The best of the big men
  24. I take great pleasure out of knowing I have seen films that even Jae has not partaken of. Barry Lyndon and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, WHUT~ Not like that makes me a better film enthusiast or anything. It's just a fun little thing to horde over people when one of my last DVD purchases was Class of Nuke 'Em High
