Apparently the Yamaguchi-gumi is split in two right now so Yakuza have bigger fish to fry than dealing with AJPW. But I still wouldn't put that past 'em.

Manhunter would and will always smoke Red Dragon, no matter what, as I just witnessed. "In A Gadda Da Vida", hoh-nay. EDIT: And for that matter I am one of the few people that likes Manhunter better than Silence despite how completely amazing Silence is

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4au59_tiger-mask-iv-vs-negro-casas_sport Maybe Casas can drag something out of him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVLD20_EPB8 Of course, aside from the MEN's Teioh match, this is the best thing IV was ever involved with.

"UPSTATE, MUTHAFUCKA!!!" Plus the clearly not very white guy doing the Nazi salute and the random bum indulging in the chaos. What an amazing piece of film. In sadder news, Jim Konya (AKA Jim Sadist/Lasagna/etc.) from Nunslaughter/Nine Shocks Terror/a bunch of other bands has suffered two severe strokes and is pretty much gonna be a vegetable unless he has a DNR designation, I imagine. He is/was one of the funniest people I've ever encountered and drummed at the first three shows I ever saw live. Being the pessimist I am I don't see much hope for him, but just so you know, he's a giant of the metal scene and someone who deserves any thoughts you can give him right now. Now to lighten the mood a bit, here's a video: Jim's the guy at the water fountain. Life is a fucking asshole.

One of my favorite dingy indy death match guys vs. the world's favorite dingy indy death match guy. Maybe this should be in the 2015 Matches thread, I dunno... but it sure is miscellaneous. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2j09xo_saburo-inematsu-vs-atsushi-onita-k-dojo_sport And here is Onita versus... Ryuma Go? http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xppmdc_ryuma-go-vs-atsushi-onita-pioneer-4-30-89_sport

If you don't laugh your ass off watching this then you aren't human. Similarly, if you don't think this is the greatest thing ever, then you suck.

If you ask him, I'm sure he'll tell you it was his idea. Slayer, Exodus, Venom in the early 80s? I would love to see that video. Ask and ye shall receive. The stage comments and backstage nonsense are some of the funniest shit I've ever heard in my life, especially Venom trying to explain themselves while completely ripped on Jack. So many great quotes. Gary Holt: "This one's another fast one... but aren't they all?"

I know. It's like the new WAR.

OCTOBER 2015 WRESTLING DISCUSSION
Curt McGirt replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I give to you one of the greatest things ever. Juiced-up pool boy Sign Guy Dudley imitator Lodi (goddamn I STILL hate that guy) getting murdered by Perry Saturn. Watch it again and again and again. -
The only thing cool that ever came out of Studio 54 was the Ultimate Revenge on Disco concert/video with Venom, Slayer and Exodus. I wonder if Paul had a hand in that...

2015 RING OF HONOR DISCUSSION THREAD
Curt McGirt replied to RIPPA's topic in FEDS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A BUCK
Have to agree, I tuned in for a minute the other night and the baseball field with the big lights was awesome. So was having the chanters buried in the audio. -
Add Candyman to the list, I reviewed that one year.

I was just about to ask who the bald guy in the photos was until Lance Storm was mentioned. And then I recognized Caveman Jon Stewart too. He's about a 7/10 on the Caveman Ex-Late Night Host Scale, with Letterman being the industry standard (as always). EDIT: Actually Jon looks more like the Vietnam vet at the local soup kitchen, trying to reserve a spot in the Catholic homeless shelter by volunteering

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2kq8vl_jun-akiyama-takao-omori-ultimo-dragon-vs-akebono-yutaka-yoshie-shigehiro-irie-ajpw_sport Pretty sure this is the match from earlier this year with a very surly Akebono and an equally surly Akiyama. Also, Yoshie, Irie, Omori, and... Ultimo Dragon?

How good was Sting/Flair vs. Funk/Muta? I've heard little about it aside from the fire but that lineup in a cage sounds like pure awesomeness.
-
Jeez, Kevin Kelly and Corino... honestly Striker is the best part of that equation. They should just get Ranallo and Warmaster instead.
-
He says that? He was a fucking club promoter in NYC pre-Giuliani. What a carny.
-
"FIGHT, CHILD RABOR FORCE!!!" I watched my midsized college town grow high-rises like the corn and soybeans in the fields around it in the last couple years, so I feel the same as Kevin, if not to the same extent.

Nobody should let Nikki stomp anybody again. Ever. On the brighter side it's clear that nobody in the Divas Revolution is slapping their thigh when they kick one another. Booker's babble was at an unforeseen level of incomprehensibility here and I challenge someone to translate some of the shit that was coming out of his mouth. What I watched of Ryback/Owens was passable (busy at the time); Owens is such a shitter taking the countout loss and I loved him waving Ryback off after the Shellshock like bugs were flying around his head. Though Cody's still funny/fun to me and I'm happy these guys have an angle I have no interest. Nice Falcon Arrow from the second buckle by one of the Jobronis Ascension though. Man that staredown between Wyatt and Roman was great. Harper and Big Stranglehold standing in the background (with Harper's Manson eyes glaring out of the corner in every shot of Roman) and letting it simmer, then Wyatt yelling "ARE YOU READY TO DIE?" as Reigns walked off made that. They already did the big brawl so no reason for that, just light the fuse and wait for the PPV. Big E prancing to the ring with light clapping, then Kane getting into it and clapping along was just perfect. Kane's facial expressions are classic. He just mugs for the camera so well in this persona. And of course then you get the trombone during the slingshot dropkicks! A nothing match but the schtick from all involved is fun. Booker insisting on someone checking on Corporate Kane after all is done was good too.

...and right on time! AMC has started their Stephen King movie marathon tonight. Firestarter, Pet Semetery, Thinner, Cujo, Silver Bullet, Riding the Bullet (which I've never even heard of). Then Fear of the Walking Dead to cure your insomnia. They throw in The Shining tomorrow for shits 'n' giggles. EDIT: Looks like we need to keep an eye on TCM. They've got Rattlers, The Swarm, and Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte playing on Sunday.
-
I am mistaken then. Thought I heard somewhere they fucked up and forgot to fix the wheel. Watts was a fool when it came to WCW, aside from tags and bringing in his boys. EDIT: Hell, wouldn't a strap match would have been better? Sting ended up having a pretty good one of those...

OCTOBER 2015 WRESTLING DISCUSSION
Curt McGirt replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
If Dick is as good a trainer as he is a wrestler, it'll be a treat to see who comes out of his camp and gets shipped overseas.
