  1. I don't think James Franklin is long for Happy Valley.
  2. Wait caley, did you miss my passionate defense of Eight Crazy Nights? http://deathvalleydriver.com/forum/index.php?/topic/996-badunknownunpopular-movies-youll-always-defend/
  3. Wow another "validity of SJW" argument... Just look at it this way... Social Justice Warriors : Liberals : : Tea Party : Conservatives The more you realize that the real problem in this country isn't one side or the other but the push towards extremism and absolutism from both sides, the wiser you are. Putting conviction over civility, acting as though even respecting opposing viewpoints (and God forbid compromising with them) is a betrayal of those convictions, trivializing or demonizing opposing viewpoints because it's easier to hold onto your own if you just assume anyone who disagrees with you is evil or stupid, that's what's tearing everything apart... Dr.King didn't march on Washington to say, "Fuck you you redneck cracker motherfuckers, now excuse me while I make snide, sarcastic putdowns about you for the next half hour or so..." He wanted to educate people. SJW's don't want to educate. They want to punish, mock, and condescend.
  4. They been slowly but steadily adding in Shaw Brothers stuff, which is awesome...
  5. It's fun to shit on Russo but he created some characters that got VERY over. Yeah it should be more like, "the fact the even Russo realizes what's wrong here is an indictment of WWE creative"...
  6. I'll open with Gil Scott-Heron's awesome Bill Callahan cover from his final album...
  7. She could always say she was just emulating Triple H...
  8. It really doesn't look that bad, I mean it's got John Goodman. Also Amanda Seyfried and Alan Arkin in unspecified roles. And hey, there's Alex Borstein as Ed Helms' wife apparently.
  9. This is an excellent point. As much as the new generation of Divas have stepped up their in-ring game, they're all terrible on the mic. In the Summerslam thread I brought up the Divas title being held hostage until AJ's record is broken, and someone asked why AJ held the title so long in the first place. You just made me realize why: AJ is the only Diva they've had in years who could cut a promo without sounding completely wooden.
  10. In three more weeks she ties AJ's reign. Until then, enjoy the ridiculousness of Stephanie championing the women's revolution while simultaneously holding it hostage to be petty to someone who's not in the company any more...
  11. Packing heat is about the only way NWA was doing anything to the Horsemen man...I mean, I know they were generally photographed to look menacing and all, but at the time NWA are a bunch of skinny teenagers led by a dude who's like 5'6"...let's not act like we're getting action movie star Ice Cube or post-Training Day roided up Dre in the late 80's...
  12. I'd kinda like to see Brock F5 Jon Stewart and break his arm with the kimura, then have his fellow Minnesotan Craig Kilborn come out and cut a promo on him...
  13. You know, lost in all this Cena promo talk is that Rollins cut a really great promo himself. He did something that I've been waiting for someone to do. Multiple people (Kane, Heymaan, Steph, etc.) have cut the "Turn heel John" promo, but Seth pointed to John already being a heel in the minds of many. Did Punk ever go that far when he feuded with Cena? If not, he should have, since their feud was essentially "WWE Batman vs. Superman".
  14. And I'm not even old enough to have seen it when it was on TV. Been watching the first season lately though and making these as I go. Just waiting for the opportunity to drop some choice Benson gifs. You could make Soap gifs your schtick, sorta like how my schtick is to randomly reference NBA players from the 80's and early 90's. A good schtick can be the difference between being John "Hot Rod" Williams or being John "Hot Plate" Williams, after all...
  15. He should stick with the superkick too.
  16. I heard they were jobbing Slater out on his way out the door cause Reggie Theus had recruited him to Hang Time, but Belding convinced him to stay...
  17. Well Brock ain't gonna lose clean...either he wins or Taker pulls an "Austin at WMXVII" and beats him to death with a chair or something...if they go with the latter I'm thinking they're long-term setting up a rubber match at Mania next year so Taker can have a Mulligan on the half-out-of-it match from last year... And yeah Fowler, I've been getting the "Ambrose turns" vibe too...
  18. At least we know now Brock is winning...
  19. I told ya'll this show was great. It's like, near-Daria or School Rumble levels of greatness.
  20. Trumbo, or That Time Bryan Cranston Looked At His Emmy Shelf And Thought, "Hmm, You Know What Would Look Good Up There? An Oscar."
