I know a guy who I met in early '09 as a Mets fan. By the end of '09 he was rooting for the Yankees because New York. A year later he was a Giants fan because they originated in New York and they were his dad;s team back then. I just chalked it up to him being a typical obnoxious New Yawker...

I don't hate the Pederson hiring as much as a lot of Eagles fans apparently do. Honestly I'm just happy we hired an NFL assistant and not another college guy or some legend coaxed out of retirement. Speaking of college guys, Chip Kelly to San Fran makes no fucking sense whatsoever. Didn't they vet the situation at all? Didn't they see where Chip alienated virtually everyone from the locker room to the front office in Philly with his "my way or the highway" college coach bullshit? Isn't that the same problem they just had with Jim Harbaugh? And he at least went to a Super Bowl...

JANUARY 2016 WRESTLING DISCUSSION
The Comedian replied to RIPPA's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
I really can't believe some of you guys here. We're all just trying to have intelligent, responsible, grown-ass adult conversations in here and then one of you just has to go and ruin everything by bringing up the possibility that RVD might be in the Royal Rumble... -
If you are British, 69 years old, and famous, watch out cause cancer has declared open season on your ass this year apparently...

Somehow this seems even funnier now. "Saaaaaaaaack."

WRESTLERS OF THE DAY (Series 2) - THE S.A.T. (The Maximos)
The Comedian replied to RIPPA's topic in ...OF THE DAY
The first match I remember watching from these six was outdoors I think, but I couldn't find it, so here's this instead...it was kinda my introduction to CZW, so I guess it was right around the time ECW went cable, and channel 48 in Philly replaced them with CZW and TNA Wildside... -
It's just another example of the criticism the Wyatt Family stuff has gotten all along; a gimmick like Bray Wyatt's can't work in WWE because all WWE heels are ultimately subservient to the McMahons...

That was brutal, and then the dude kicked out of it like he was ECW-era RVD or something...

Gotta add Bowie doing his idol, Scott Walker... Added bonus: Bowie moved to tears by a birthday message from Scott...

"Oh no love you're not alone No matter what or who you've been No matter when or where you've seen All the knives seem to lacerate your brain I've had my share, now I'll help you with the pain YOU'RE NOT ALONE, just turn on with me! And you're not alone, let's turn on with me! You're not alone, gimmie your hands! Cause you're wonderful! Gimmie your hands!" RIP to one of the the all-time greats.

I watch it. It's not bad. My favorite wrestling-related youtube show is World Famous Flea Market, which is two guys who as far as I can tell are from the NW indies doing Beavis & Butthead/MST3K-style schtick while watching bad backyard/low-end indie matches...

Damn how did Krone Meltzer vs. Kent Jones not win the WON Feud Of The Year in '06... -
Makes no sense. The Eagles owned the Giants during Coughlin's tenure. I mean, does coaching a team where the commissioner thinks it's in the league's best interest that they win a couple titles make you a good coach?

Honesty the best shoot-out in Hard Boiled is the opening one in the tea house. Chow Yun-Fat covered in flour and the blood of the guy who killed his partner makes for a great visual at the end...

Hell, TNA should be flattered that WWE is giving them the "pretend you don't exist" treatment. -
So they're going to hire Lou Brown as their manager. . .er, coach next, right? (move to Browns' draft War Room) GM: Here's a list of players I'd like to consider with the second overall pick. Scout: This guy here is dead. GM: Cross him off, then! FORGET ABOUT THE CHECKDOWN JOHNNY, GIVE 'EM THE HAIL MARY!

There was an infamous moment where he bitched out Eddie Guerrero for using a camel clutch, not realizing that Eddie's father created the hold.I heard that story and it's kind of dumb. Who cares who created the move? The point is that Eddie was using Hassan's finish. Yes, everybody loves Eddie and the rookie should have handled things better with a veteran, but he did have a point.Unfortunately for Hassan, that doesn't seem to be how the business works. According to Shawn Daivari, Hassan was encouraged by Kurt Angle to go to Guerrero about protecting his finish. He felt that Angle meant well, but didn't understand the politics of the situation due to having shot straight to the top in the business.

Chip went 10-6 twice with Andy Reid's talent. And as I already pointed out, Reid didn't go 4-12 his last season because of the talent, he went 4-12 because he'd made a series of bad decisions that left his coaching staff a complete mess. After the death of DC Jim Johnson, he promoted Johnson's protege Sean McDermott, then gave up on him after two seasons. He brought in Jim Washburn to be DC in all but name (he was technically the D Line coach), then let O Line coach Juan Castillo talk him into making him DC since no real defensive coach wanted to come into a situation where they'd be a puppet coordinator,. Washburn (as well as his star pupil Jason Babin) created a caustic atmosphere where he openly mocked Castillo and others. Then on top of all of that, Reid's son died of a drug overdose. In other words, Chip took over a team in Philly that had talent, but was in need of a coaching overhaul. Put him with the Jags instead, he ain't having any 10 win seasons the past three years...
-
Two more tidbits about Chip: 1. The whole Eagles organization from front office down to the locker room was fed up with Chip's fanatical micromanagement. 2. Jeffrey Lurie had a meeting with Chip to try and get his take on how things have gone this season and his plans moving ahead. Apparently the meeting went very badly, and this is why Chip was fired so abruptly.
-
Because of all the orangeness?
-
They could move Pete Rose's plaque in there too...
-
What really did Andy Reid in in Philly was letting a cancer named Jim Washburn destroy his whole locker room. If not for that, he may well still be here.
-
I'm already tired of the notion that the Chiefs making the playoffs this year is some sort of sign that we never should have let him go. He had his time here, then he burned out and it was time to move on.

Yeah, pretty much the whole extent of her characterization has been a goofy promo and Paige calling her the most irrelevant diva on the roster...
