  1. Thanks everybody. My Mum's had another one today so she won't be coming home today. This is probably the worst day I'm having since it all started man.
  2. The web slinging was the best thing about it but I preferred Spider-Man (2000) for the story, characters, unlockables and training mode. It's Dick Grayson as Robin: Dick has things Tim Drake's Robin used in Batman: Arkham City (bo staff, zip kick and bullet shield). I think that's led to the confusion. I would have have given Dick a different set of skills. Arkham Origin's Robin suit looks good.
  3. Hey guys. As you know my Mum’s not in the best health. My Mum had a fit and is in hospital so it’s a fuck you to that. Please don't mention it on FB. Hoping she’ll be out today.
  4. The Crow: Wicked Prayer is a great shout. Just awful.
  5. I still maintain the best Spider-Man game is this one which I still own:
  6. Hoping Batman: Mask of the Phantasm places higher than last time.
  7. Thank you. Can't believe I forgot Dr. Strange. The rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy are good bets to make it. The former is getting a movie and the latter has one out next year. I can see the rest you mentioned making it. I'm sure we'll get The Winter Soldier but probably not the other Bucky Barnes versions I listed.
  8. I know the show isn’t till the 18th of August but with John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship and CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar, this is the most I’ve looked forward to a PPV since Money in the Bank 2011. It’s going to be the first SummerSlam I’ve ordered since SummerSlam 2008. Judging by the talk on the board, I'm not the only one looking forward to it so I thought we could use this thread to chat about the show before and after it. The match I’m most interested in is John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan. I’m hoping it gets time to become a classic and Bryan goes over cleanly winning the WWE Championship. I also hope if Bryan wins, we don’t get Randy Orton cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase for the WWE Championship and wins it. Daniel Bryan’s time is now. Bryan’s had a great singles run since Team Hell No ended submitting Randy Orton, pinning Sheamus cleanly, had a Gauntlet match with a good match against Jack Swagger, the WWE Match of the Year so far with Antonio Cesaro and giving Ryback again his best ever match. On this week’s RAW, Bryan pinned Kane cleanly. As for CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar, I think this has the potential to challenge John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules 2012 for Lesnar’s best WWE match since his return. I need to watch CM Punk vs. John Cena on RAW as I really liked it at the time but need to see it with fresh eyes. I also really liked The Undertaker vs. CM Punk at WrestleMania XXIX was great and Punk vs. Chris Jericho at Payback. Brock Lesnar's had four matches since his WWE return and the only one I didn't enjoy at all was with Triple H at WrestleMania XXIX.
  9. Guessing the reaction was something when Grant Morrison introduced Damian Wayne to continuity? I liked him after reading my first issue with him in it, Batman and Robin (Vol. 1) #1 and in the Morrison Batman books after that. A brooding smart arse. It was something reading Batman & Son seeing where Damian Wayne began having previously read the developments he makes.
  10. Like others have said before me, Dick-Bats and Damian Robin was great while it lasted and it should have had more time. This reminds me about Batman, Incorporated (Vol. 2) #8 which I've put in spoiler tags for size and the contents of the issue: Damn right.
  11. It's my favourite Batman comics run as well. I agree with you that the highlight of the run was Batman and Robin #1-16. That alone would be one of the best comic book runs of all time but it's part of the best I've ever read. I started reading the run the order it's intended for the first time in March on my birthday thanks to my Sister. I just need Batman to print the remaining issues from Batman, Incorporated (Vol. 2). Be cool to see your reviews Brian.
  12. Grant Morrison’s long run on Batman which started with Batman #655 ends tomorrow with Batman, Incorporated (Vol. 2) #13. I wanted to create a thread to mark the occasion and I think it shall make for an interesting topic. I’ve previously mentioned a UK magazine here called Batman which prints recent Batman stories. Unfortunately I didn’t get it then called Batman Legends when it printed most of Morrison’s Batman run: Batman & Son-Batman, Incorporated (Vol. 1) #1. My Sister bought me an issue of Batman Legends during that time which printed Batman & Robin (Vol. 1) #1. You can imagine my big surprise when I found out Dick Grayson was Batman and the new Robin was Bruce Wayne’s son, Damian. The past two years I read the books from Grant Morrison’s run (thanks to The Unholy Dragon and Brian Fowler for help with the reading order) which were available from my local library or bought for me as gifts. The only two I’d never read before were crucially the first two (Batman & Son and Batman: The Black Glove) so I asked my Sister for them as my birthday present this year. My Sister got the deluxe edition which collects the first two stories in one book. I read them for the first time and reread the other complete books. I’m up to Batman, Incorporated (Vol. 2) #9 which is printed with other Batman stories in Batman which I previously mentioned. I’m going to post my reviews of each book in this thread time allowing. In Grant Morrison’s Batman run we’ve had: Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul having a son, Damian Wayne brought into continuity (is that the right word?)…a black sheep of the Wayne family as the big bad…an attack on Batman’s mind leading to Batman of Zur-En-Arrh…Damian as a future Batman…Batman thought dead but gets sent back in time…Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne becoming the new Batman and Robin and Bruce Wayne starting Batman, Incorporated. I might be forgetting something. I know this run is divisive so it will be good to read the opinions of supporters and detractors. I’m in the former camp, for me it’s a great run and I’ll be sad it’s ending but know I have the ability to revisit it when the mood strikes me. I hope this final issue ends the run on a high. The previews for it suggest it will.
  13. Good to see you. I've always felt the same way.
  14. My ideal roster for Lego Marvel Super Heroes which I’ve put in spoiler tags for size: Hope I haven’t missed anybody obvious.
  15. Re: TheVileOne. I got Batman: Arkham City (Game of the Year Edition) for Christmas 2012 and only had the time to start playing it for the first time this May so I’m trying to avoid spoilers. I lost about two hours on VR training with the advanced ones, particularly the first two. I remember your report about playing some of Batman: Arkham City at E3 2011. Ta for mentioning the gladiator pit fight, I liked that apart from: Playing Batman: Arkham City and the controls would make for a great Spider-Man game. Batman’s grapple gun would be Spider-Man’s web when he’s swinging and the grapple gun boost will make Spider-Man jump higher. When you press the button for Catwoman to climb buildings, use that for Spider-Man’s wall climbing. For the Freeflow combat, change Batman’s combat for Spider-Man and switch the enemy attacking indicator onto Spidey for his Spider Sense. It feels great that the best comic book hero for all time and as a massive fan of him, gets two games he deserves. Same goes for the best film (The Dark Knight) and animation (Batman: The Animated Series).
