I watched Wonder Woman yesterday. The build to release particularly the trailers but also the posters and WOM reviews went from a maybe to seeing it. I’ve seen the others even with negative reviews. I really enjoyed Wonder Woman, first great DCEU entry and touch wood DCEU builds on the film. Gal Gadot is Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, the relationship between her and Steve Trevor is noticeable. The highlight of the movie is the arrival at the front line trenches in No man’s land, above it, the village battle and celebrating Veld’s liberation. This is already one of the best comic book film sequences, I had shivers through it. I’m getting them thinking about it. Wonder Woman’s third act is a step down from what came before, comic book films either do or don’t and the movie went on a tad too long. The film had humour, in a DCEU one! There are nods to Superman (1978). Having posted my review, I'll catch up on posts about the movie.

Next week marks the 10 year anniversary of the Chris Benoit double-murder and suicide. Thinking back to the time for this sends chills down my spine. RAW airs live in the early hours UK time so I set my tape off and went to bed but it didn’t record for some reason. I go online the next day to find out what happened on RAW and learnt that Chris Benoit, Nancy Benoit and Daniel Benoit passed away. As the details of what happened came out, my sadness turned to shock and horror that Chris Benoit killed his wife and son, then himself. Fuck. Chris Benoit was one of my favourite wrestlers for a long time. My user name here was The Crippler and I won a signed photo of Benoit, it was on my wall framed. You’ll notice the repeated use of “was”. I’ve only watched a few Benoit matches since then. What do posters think ten years on?

Seeing Wonder Woman Sunday!

I doubt PIxar will stop Cars movies, the mostly negative reviews haven't. More original Pixar films or sequels to the top tier films. However with the latter, you have the difficulty following on from the acclaimed previous entries. Toy Story is the best example with Monsters, Inc and Finding Nemo.

The "wrestling" match will suck but there's one good thing, it stops Josh Matthews' fucking commentary.

I concur with all this. Few weeks ago I watched X-Men: Apocalypse for the first time. The worst of the prequel trilogy and going further, I'd have it 8th or 9th out of the Fox Mutants films. Very few positives.

Predictions. Jinder retains the WWE Championship against Randy. Don't give a shit. Kevin Owens wins the men's Money in the Bank Ladder match. Baron Corbin's my second pick. Carmella takes the women's Money in the Bank Ladder match. Naomi retains the WWE Smackdown Live Women's Championship versus Lana. Uso's retain the WWE Smackdown Live Tag Team Titles against the New Day. Can see a DQ/Countout.

Surreal this is actually happening. A reigning UFC Champion will fight in boxing against the undefeated Money. Damn.

*Anxiously checks if it's on my RT list and where*. Phew, it's not. Wasn't sure where to place Cars 3 going on the Cars films prior as Pixar's weakest but thought third time may be the charm.
