Nah, photographers shouldn't be jumping around and acting like a fool on the sidelines. I also don't buy the "it wasn't planned" bs.

Of course not, the theme song is great but the disco music during the amazing chase scenes are really bad.
-
Co-sign on For Your Eyes Only being good, the Bill Conti disco soundtrack is bad though.

Just a reminder that the Lions have only beaten teams with losing records and a hungover KC squad.

Nah, that’s normal talk for birth lottery winners like him.

November 2023 Wrestling Talk
Mister TV replied to Dolfan in NYC's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Most of the WWWF/WWF territory was along the Interstate 95 corridor, those northern Vermont and New Hampshire towns that Montreal ran were small and out of the way for the WWWF crew. Georgia started running Columbus due to it being the first somewhat large metropolitan area to get a real cable system, Cincinnati got hooked up a few years later. Ole got lucky in that the areas that first got heavy cable penetration were towns The Sheik abandoned. -

There is a Laverne & Shirley wresting episode, sadly I couldn’t find any clips on YouTube. The Red Demon(Chuck Martoni) live down the street from my grandparents! He also had a Ph.D, was President of a Community College, a County Councilman and Mayor. His opponent on the Wheeling card Johnny DeFazio was also on the Allegheny County Council with him in the 90’s & 2000’s. https://triblive.com/local/pittsburgh-allegheny/long-time-allegheny-county-councilman-former-pro-wrestler-charles-martoni-dies/ -

Saw this and I’m really bummed we never got a team of the Captain & the Baron on the regular. WWF @ Beaver Falls, PA – Geneva College Metheny Fieldhouse – March 9, 1981 The Red Demon pinned Jim Grabmire at 13:02 Dominic DeNucci pinned the Hangman at 14:36 Suzette Ferrera pinned Betty Clark at 10:47 Bill Berger pinned Bill Dixon at 5:37 WWF Tag Team Champions Rick Martel & Tony Garea defeared Baron Mikel Scicluna & Capt. Lou Albano at 15:09 when Martel pinned Scicluna It’s kind of odd that the Captain worked matches at two spot shows on the far end of the promotion, at this point I thought he was just working the big arenas once or twice a year. -
Suzanne Shepherd who was most famous as Carmella’s mother on The Sopranos passed at 89, she was also in Goodfellas as Karen Hill’s mother. She was amazing in one of the most underrated Sopranos episodes Marco Polo.

Wheeling was part of the old Pittsburgh loop the WWWF took over, guys like Johnny DeFazio and The Red Demon still worked the undercards in that area until shortly after the expansion. -

Big Ten refs are so crooked.

The Las Vegas F1 race is on its way to being the disaster most people predicted, loose manhole covers shut down last nights practice.

The three episode JFK: One Day in America doc series on Hulu and I think Disney+ is really good. It has present day interviews with the living Secret Service Agents, Journalists(including Bill Mercer), Oswald's co-worker's and others, thankfully it doesn't get into the conspiracy nonsense. There's a lot of restored footage that looks amazing but everything they colorized looks bad, no idea why anyone thinks it looks good or that people even want it or even care if its not in color.

Totally, when I worked at Blockbuster in the 90's we had both copies, when someone rented the R we had a prepared script telling them it was an "R rated R" and that there was a PG rated version, there was an incident the first week the store was open when someone rented the R for a kids slumber party. We also had to explain that Grease and Bad News Bears were 1970's PG, on par with current PG13 movies and that Tanner says a lot of really racist stuff.
-
Remember there’s an R rated version and a PG rated version, a huge amount of people have only seen the PG or edited for tv version.

I bet Vince still kicks himself for using the name Virgil for a black bodyguard and not a wrestling plumber. -

He's so lucky that Vince didn't find out about his lunchbox collection, we missed out on Lunch Pail Pete or something similar. -

The dookie line was from No Holds Barred, Hogan said it to the Richard Belzer looking chauffeur. -
The movie should have been an extended version of this.

They’ll never get higher than where they currently are with Franklin as head coach. He’s a modern version of John Cooper.
