  1. The SEC refs really hosed Pitt today.
  2. This sketch was the first thing that popped into my head when I found out Prince Chuck is the new King.
  3. There's a good chance an Eminem jukebox musical hits Broadway by the end of the decade.
  4. It amazes me that someone who sounds like every coked up yinzer jagoff dahn sahside on a Saturday night is such a media star.
  5. The Netflix Untold doc on the 1983 America's Cup is really good, I'm not into sailing but I found it extremely interesting mainly due to the competitive drive of everyone involved, if it was a 30 for 30 it'd be one of the best ones. I'm hoping they do a follow up doc on the 1987 America's Cup when Dennis Connor won it back, along with all the bs the following year when a New Zealand banker sued to challenge for the Cup and the hysterical race that followed. The Untold doc on Tim Donaghy was good but everyone involved/interviewed are lying scumbags so everything said has to be taken with a grain of salt.
  6. I think Rudolph will only be #2 on the chart the first three games or so, I can see Tomlin not wanting to throw Pickett out there mid-game if Trubisky gets hurt. Update: Pickett is now the #2 and Rudolph is #3! https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34535332/mike-tomlin-confirms-mitch-trubisky-pittsburgh-steelers-starting-quarterback-rookie-kenny-pickett-backup
  7. I watched National Champions yesterday! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I thought it was going to be so bad it was funny but it was just regular bad. First all of the arguments they try to make(movie was released in December 2021) are no longer relevant since NIL has pretty much wiped out any talk of players getting paid by the schools or forming a union and collective bargaining. The first half seems like the final episode of a series or limited series about a big time college football team, the second half gets really over dramatic with grand speeches and melodrama that'll make your eyes roll. Now I would totally be down with a series about a big time college football team with J.K. Simmons as the head coach, Kristin Chenoweth as his wife, Timothy Olyphant as a sorta sleazy professor, Tim Blake Nelson as the big money booster and David Koechner as the SEC commissioner.
  8. Holy shit! I hate both teams but that was crazy fun to watch.
  9. They expanded the stadium formally known as Heinz Field in 2015, I don't think the Steelers do standing room tickets like Pitt did last night. Also, the stadiums in Pittsburgh have always been on the small side, the current football stadium has a capacity of 68,400 after adding seats every few years since it opened in 2001, Three Rivers held less than 60,000, Forbes Field held around 35,000, Pitt Stadium held 55,000ish back in the day and somehow crammed 69,000 people into it for a big game against Fordham in 1938, I think people sat on folding chairs on the running track around the field.
  10. Pitt fans will show up for a big game or if the team is good, they'll sell out or nearly sell out the Tennessee game next week. When Pitt is an 8 wins or lower team Aquaman Stadium will be empty, that's mainly due to being in conferences with teams no one cares about locally and competing with 3 pro teams for coverage and entertainment dollars. Pitt also has to deal with a local media who's openly hostile to them, the local Heisman voters brag about voting for Jason White over Larry Fitzgerald or whoever won last year over Pickett.
  11. PITT WINS! The Pitt and WVU AD’s need to buyout one of their non-conference games in 2026 and 2027 and make the series permanent. I figured it would be a crazy game but not that crazy! Both head coaches stink. WVU should have gone for it on that 4th down and never should have thrown on the second down that lead to the Pick 6. Narduzzi never double teaming a stud WR is enraging and tribute to Chuck Knox called the Offense will equal a 7 or 8 win season.
  12. When you have a running back like Hammond Jr. why wouldn’t you do that?
  13. It's 3 miles from the campus to Acupuncture Stadium and it's going to be packed with Pitt fans. Also the whole "State vs. Neighborhood" line that WVU is pushing is hysterical, the state of West Virginia and Allegheny County(where Pittsburgh is located) have almost the same population.
  14. The Backyard Brawl is tomorrow!!!!! I'm more pumped for this than I was the ACC Championship Game last year or the Pitt - Enabler State game in 2016. Pitt is bringing back all of their legends for the game along with Dave "13-9" Wanstache!
  15. There’s nothing official about the National Championship UCF claims, they were 6th AP poll and 7th in the Coaches poll.
  16. FreeVee, Peacock, Roku Channel, and Sundance Channel.
  17. Apparently coaches prefer them to Pre-Season games since both sides can work on specific things. The mistake was allowing the two Super Bowl teams to have a joint practice.
  18. From the Variety article linked below. Taking off the titles from streaming would also help Warner Bros. Discovery cut costs by removing lesser-watched programs to save money on residuals. https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/hbo-max-originals-removed-1235344286/
  19. There's a multi-episode Lakers/Buss Family doc directed by Antoine Fuqua on Hulu. The first episode and a half were ok, but it comes off like a WWE Doc since the Lakers/Buss family produced it, I'm guessing this was done to counter act Winning Time.
  20. I’m kind of thinking that Gordon always had various airplane bottles of booze in his sports jacket and tossed Ladd a few during a commercial.
  21. I think you're digging to deep into Vince's psychological issues when it comes to him screwing employees or giving women jobs so he could screw them, that kind of behavior was pretty common for executive types back in the day, it never stopped being 1987 for Vince in that department. Also, Vince was way too much of a workaholic and work-out-aholic to leave the office at 1pm for the Country Club and hit on Lacy Underall types, or stop at some upscale Greenwich brothel on the way home from work.
  22. Chad McQueen(Dutch) not sure if he refused or they didn't really ask since they'd know what the answer would be. There's also Larry B. Scott(Jerry) not sure if he actually had any lines, I'm surprised he hasn't at least made a cameo.
  23. They need to do a dark part acoustic/part symphonic version of Pac-Man Fever for the trailer.
