CBS is going to go all out with Swift's travels from Tokyo to Las Vegas, I bet they'll have Phil Keoghan from The Amazing Race host the segments during the pre-game show.

He'll totally be like the old gangsters at the end of Casino, in a wheelchair wearing an oxygen mask. -
I'm kind of surprised they were going to let him bet $15k, since even that would be super suspicious. The only people in Ohio betting five figures on regular season SEC college baseball games have insider info, or have a severe gambling addiction and should have their bets turned away.

I watched the first two episodes of Masters of the Air, they really should have cast someone else in the lead role, can't really tell if Austin Butler is trying to do an accent or he's sticking with the Elvis voice, also you couldn't have hair like his in the Army during WW2!

That looks like a jersey someone on a 2000's era sitcom would wear.

Back in the day I worked in corporate video production and was either running camera or audio when PR people worked with execs on what to say in touchy situations, never anything remotely as vile as this though. When the PR firm had a not horrible response for the exec, the exec usually ignored it, when the PR firm had a bad response the exec usually went with it. -
Being up 17 going into the 4th is huge, they could have forced SF to burn a ton of time in trying to make that up, worst case scenario your up 3 with a few minutes left in the game.

Should have kicked the FG.

The oil bust wasn’t the biggest issue Watts had with his expansion, he was buying tv time in markets he wasn’t running house shows in, he pissed away tons of money doing that, then Crockett did the same after he bought Watts out. Vince had a huge advantage over the other promoters when it came to expanding, he had consistent money rolling in from running shows at NBA/NHL arenas in NYC, Boston, Philly, Pittsburgh, DC, Long Island, and Northern New Jersey, plus towns like Baltimore and Providence that had buildings the same size the marquee arenas of other promotions. -

There weren’t really that many options on cable besides USA, TBS and ESPN, channels like Tempo, FNN/Score and later Sports Channel America weren’t on that many cable systems and channels like TNN didn’t want wrestling, plus I can see USA totally bailing on wrestling after the blood stuff on Southwest. Also, it would have been really hard for the territories to survive into the 90’s on local tv. The influx of syndicated programming and infomercials that became widespread during the decade would have pushed local wrestling shows to odd times or low powered stations, which would have killed the house show business. -
Fuck the Ravens, that was cheap.

Had some bonus bet money in my Caesars account, tossed in a few more bucks and parlayed both road teams on the money line.

I’m thinking it’s Dr. Drew. -
Has the NCAA ever brought the hammer down on an influential state school like Michigan? In the long run Penn State wasn't really punished for covering up children being raped in their football locker room, did they do anything to UNC for 18 years of academic fraud? USC and Miami got hammered for agent/booster stuff, but both are private schools.

With the exception of the Rubik's Cube on the desk, Garvin, Sunshine and the wood paneling in that office all have a 1979 look. Also, Garvin looks like a promoter for a shady record label who gives program directors coke. -

What's vMVPD? Is that something like YouTubeTV? -
I never knew this! I've had the Milli Vanilli doc on my watchlist for awhile, guess I should have watched it instead of investing so much time in The Curse.

His filmography has a bunch of “he directed that” flicks like Rollerball, F.I.S.T. and Other People’s Money. If you’ve never seen The Cincinnati Kid or A Solider’s Story go watch them, they’re his best in my book.

If I was a Bucs fan I'd be annoyed with that, the Lions played it smart though. I live in the Detroit area but didn't grow up here so I never cared what the local teams did, I'm now on the fence with the Lions, while it'll be nice for some people I know there are others who will be insufferable if they win, but as a Steeler fan I don't want the 49ers to get a 6th Lombardi trophy and join the Steelers in the 6 with no asterisk club. On the AFC side I of course want Baltimore to get their doors blown off, KC in the Super Bowl with subplot of Taylor Swift getting from her Tokyo Dome concert to Las Vegas in time for the game will be hysterical and make a certain segment of the populations heads explode, so I'm all for it.

JANUARY 2024 Wrestling Talk
Mister TV replied to Dolfan in NYC's topic in The PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
Bruno changed his stance on Flair, he used to praise him in the 80’s and 90’s then Flair said something about Bruno not being a draw or some nonsense in the 2000’s, that shifted Bruno to the Bret Hart “Flair worked the same match” take. In his prime Bruno was able to adapt to his opponents, that was one of the reasons for his longevity, but his second run was usually vs. a monster type Hansen/Brody or strongman like Graham/Patera. -
Sorry the “math” and Collinsworth are dumb in that situation, kick the PAT then go for 2 if you score again.
