Shartnado

Couple of weeks ago I realized that I have been slightly overestemating the weight of the squat-machine's bar. I figured it would be around 20 kg, but It's only sligthly over 10 kg. So, I was bummed out about this, so I today I just added more weight to off set that and didn't count the resistance bands at all. So I did 8 reps with 401 lbs and 7 with 423 lbs. Yesterday, I did bench, but the new bench felt quite different, so I didn't go too heavy. But I did get 5x267 (and 5's with 234, 258), but then I decided to drop down to 139 and see how many sets it would take to reach 100 reps. Well, it took 7. I got 32 on the first and then around 10-14 with each following set, with the last one being 13, ending up with 101 reps. Monday was arm massacre, both tricep and bicep plus forearms, I'll save the trapbar for Friday, but I need to figure out what could I possibly do, what I haven't already exhausted this week? I guess it's resistance band-city!

Friday I did an intense arm workout with an EZ Bar for behind the neck OHP 3 sets with 106 (20, 15, 15) then 3 more with 85 (20, 20, 12) and between each of these sets I did of pushdowns with a resistance bands a set of standing double bicep curls with the dumbells starting from a pair of 17,5's and finishing with 48,5's getting some 10-12 reps each. Then moving on to heavy hammer curls as promised starting with the pair of 88's and got 8 ugly partial reps each hand. Then the same with 84's, 79's, 75's getting a little bit better reps as the weight decreased. I'm not where I once was with these, but I'll get there or at least close to it, in due time. Weekend has been heavy eating and resting, so hopefully next week's workouts will be good.

Anyway, the match with Ethan Page was ok. I said that Buddy Matthews vs Bryan Danielson wouldn't make any sense right now, but Buddy vs Darby actually does (as explained by Darby), so I will so gladly take that as a replacement! So, there's a sort of 3-way Women's feud developing with these six (well, seven, eight if you count Rebel) women! Hey, Shida could team with Rebel and make this a 4-way feud! Andretti with another win. Promo-wise, his character seems like a bit of a throwback to the Attiude Era. I'm not sure where they are going with that? Next week's show being already completely booked as far as matches go is good promoting.

Hey, they're not keeping him out of the ring (and not losing) for nothing. I'm sure they have plans for him, once they feel he's had enough training. Not really sure who is training with him right now, unless it's the guys he hangs around with on TV? Matt Jackson and Jamie Hayter should be teaching him about suplexing multiple people at once, though!

I've only heard them mentioned on Dynamite. Maybe it was when one of the wrestlers was featured on their episode, or something? But through AEW, I am familiar with the name.

Yeah, it's not my first choice, either, the TV Browser. The problem was that I couldn't find an App that I could download on my phone or tablet from in either Play or Galaxy Store. Getting that would be the first option!

I guess this goes in here, but: I've had this idea for a good while now, but I was thinking that if you still had like a really BIG tag team, physically, they should have their introduction go: "at a total combined weight of a proverbial metric shit-ton" (you could bleeb the s*it if necessary). Then, they could feud with another huge team, who could be heels and get heat by claiming to weigh "a literal shit-ton" which fans would obviously reject, because that's not possible. Anyway, that's all.

When Tazz showed up at Royal Rumble 2000 as a surprise opponent for Angle, I remember there being some talk that the opponent could be Shamrock instead. Now, I have no idea if it was based on anything other than wishful thinking, but I remember it being there.

We got a bunch of new (used) stuff for our gym this week. Last week was 4 workouts, I'll update some highlights if I have the time. (Ok, one highlight, which was 286 on the bench for a clean rep, so it's coming back). This week has been a mess because it has only been about carrying the new stuff INTO the gym. Today, I did trapbar from the new, higher platforms, and got 1x630 and a few other nice things. That was cool. Editing in: the other nice things yesterday were sets of 3x469 without Versas, then 2x586, then the aforementioned 1x630, 3x564 and 7x469. Then plenty of shrugs. Not so nice stuff is that I've been short on time, so no warm-up resistance band work, foamrolling or finishing ab work at all. We got a large set of dumbells that go from 4,4 lbs up to 88 lbs, so stuff like heavy hammer curls will be consistently back on the menu this year. The new gym is cramped right now, so we're going to have to weed out some of the less essential stuff, but it should end up OK, eventually.

What a bunch of matches again this week! The Danielson saga continues and next week will be like straight from my wishlist with Brian Cage. Too bad Buddy Murphy being one of the opponents makes less than zero sense right now. Yay, Bandido, anyway! MJF tries to act tough now, all of a sudden? Starks going through JAS is going to lead to a rematch (gimmick?) with Jericho at Revolution, no? It's just that he already won. I hope he won't lose that one! Yeah, OC keeps defending the title. I like the chances of whoever starts shit with him a day before Revolution to get the PPV match. The guy must be spent at that point. I wonder if Sting will put someone over before his contract is up? Would seem like a nice thing to do. What would happen if OC would answer Darby's open challenge just so he could defend HIS title yet again? Gunn family therapy. What could go wrong? Willie Mack vs Brian Cage on Rampage should be good considering how competitive the Elevation match was. Also, that's where we'll see if Action Adretti is a one hit wonder, kinda like Fozzy? Oh, and Top Flight should definitely face Private Party now to see which of the Young Buck upsetting high flyer teams is the better one!

Yeah, math was not my strongest subject in high school, but there's definitely something off with that calculation. There is 37 and 1/4% chance that I'm just counting wrong, though.

How much does Honor Club or Watch ROH app/ usage cost per month (or year)? I couldn't find that pivotal info on the website. I may need to get it due to the tragic events of yesterday.

Hauser sold the quitar shot magnificently. Dropped like a sack of shit on impact and seemed knocked out cold. That was very good. And at least he got to slap Dutt before going down.

Yeah, this was a spectacular episode! All matches delivered and even the segments that others have criticised, I have no problem with. For example, that's how his name looks like, in written form! Tough shit, if you don't like it. Junglehook was great! Too bad there's no chance Booker T could team with Jungle Boy...well, probably better they won't, since there's no nifty tag team name available for that team! Bryan getting Bandido next will be the best possible rehash of what Jericho just did, but if these are the kinds of guys he's going to face, please continue this all the way to Revolution! There were plenty of returning Adams, I wonder who both guys go after, next?
