There was a story about Siki's wrestling school with Ron Hutchinson (sp?) in one of the first non-WWF magazine wrestling publications I ever bought in 1992. The name and the look has stuck in my mind ever since. RIP and thanks for the core memories!

I've been in deload for more than a week now with only minimal maintenance work here and there. It feels good! Yesterday evening, I was at 208lbs, so I decided to measure some of my strategic places. Arms haven't really grown, but are still as big as they have ever been. My left arm is now at 42,2 cm flexed, not pumped and the dominant right arm is at 41,5 cm, funnily enough. Glutes and thighs have have grown by several or a couple of cm, respectively. Chest was at 120 cm, so bigger than ever, but that's probably more about my lats actually growing than anything to do with my pecs. Forearms and calves haven't grown but haven't shrunk, either. I don't remember what my foreams used to be, but probably about the same. Calves are about 0,5-1,2 cm smaller than my arms so I should try to get a little bit more size into them for the "optimal" symmetry. Arms to calves-ratio or whatever the fuck it is? Waist is out of control, obviously, but still a few cm under 100 cm, so phew! I could really use a good arm pump workout now in order to see if I can get both arms above 45 cm pumped and flexed?

Wonderful show! Great opener! Strong statement win by Hangman. Ricochet apparently took the TP incident personally! Good on him, I guess? How much has Julia Hart levelled up in order to beat Hayter? Well, enough for her black mist to become transparent, apparently? That makes it much easier to disguise! How well has the rehabilitation of Jeff Jarrett's character gone for people to cheer when he said he wanted to be AEW World Heavyweight Champion? Would you have believed that when he first showed up? So Big Bill's face is stupid? Adam, it's your own fucking face, from mid 90's! Ok, so Adam's name change is dumb, but once he teams up with Christian again, they will be know as Cope Cage (as in that pathetic apparatus the Russians tried to fortify their ancient tanks with against Ukraine drones) so at least there is that! As far as the main event goes: Was that SO hard? This is how you send the crowd home happy! -

This could be a chance for someone who is definitely not me to watch SummerSlam'93 RIP Match and compare it to the pre (or post) SummerSlam'06 SmackDown No DQ match against The Great Khali and see how those two matches measure up against one another! -

That's the message I got from that one! Nevertheless, good stuff on tap, as usual! -
Yikes! This became Thread's End II right in time for new year! Oh well, I have nothing to add to this PPV commentary, so might as well torch it!

Corporal punishment? I can see how that could work.

Holy How I Met Your Mother, Batman! So the whole amazing CC tournament was just a vehicle for a Kenny Omega return?!? Glad that Kenny is back, obviously, but I can't help but to have a bad taste in my mouth after that! So primary target was to give Okada his 5th big tournament win to tie with Chono and secondary target was to Kenny show up before Wrestle Dynasty. This definitely was more about journey than the destination. Fantastic match between Okada and Ospreay and if the record was 8-2 in Okada's favor prior to this one, the ending is logical, but wow. There were people who favored Okada during the match, so I guess they weren't bummed out by this, though? Slept through most of the main event, but woke up to see FTR and Copeland return. Which means Moxley retained. I'll re-watch this next year. Matches were mostly stellar to really good but the feel good moments were mostly just the returns and Ricochet getting perfectly TP'd (and some people may find that not so feel good moment.) So mixed feelings for this one!
-
Those matches were mostly years (year?) apart each, though, not a month or so. Doing a rematch this quickly, with not that much build-up, and having the same result seems kinda pointless. Sure, keeps Mone strong for Wrestle Dynasty but you probably could have pivoted someone else to this spot, instead of jobbing Statlander again, this quickly. The match wouldn't have been as good with almost anyone else, that I will gladly concede.

Watched until the beginning of Continental Classic Finals. The opener was fantastic! I DID NOT expect a gory bloodbath this early. Amazing stuff! Okada-Ricochet was a good match with the emphasis on the fact that Okada had way easier time dispatching Ricochet than Ospreay did Fletcher. Ricochet getting perfectly TP'd after the match was a lucky accident. And that's the end of feelgood moments until I stopped for the time being. Mariah retains over Rosa in an intense brawl. This was expected, obviously, but took the wind out of the sails a little bit. MJF beat Cole for the millionth Dynamite Diamond Ring but got his ass kicked in the end by Undisputed O'Reilly none of whom turned on Cole. Shouldn't MJF be given the option to retire and purchase the actual ownership of that damn ring by now? Takeshita vs Hobbs ended up being a wonderful match and I guess there were people who wanted Takeshita to retain? But still, no actual babyface win or title change here, either! Not Sasha vs Statlander was probably even better than their first match but c'mon! WTF was the point of having this match again, if the end result was the same? Still, the package piledriver and the Stone Cold Driver'97 on the apron were both batshit! Wonderful stuff aside this is was like watching a great movie with a bummer ending over and over. I doubt the main event will bring any change to that, so it will be all up to Ospreay taking the Continental title?

No, Okada is still a F'n dickwad, but he respects Shelton so much that he has to go all out!

Just bought Deadpool and Wolverine digital, as I have the first two on DVD. Aside from Lego Batman Movie, it's the only superhero movie franchise I own.

So you can only watch Zero Hour in that case!

Just purchased the double pack from Triller for 25e, that's actually a ridiculous deal, even without using any Google Play credits! Should be worth it, even if I'm going in totally blind. -
Plus the 2/3 falls match with Marty, the Backlund match was okay, too. Plus getting something vaguely resembling a match out of '93 Kamala, yeah, Borne was up there, at the time.
-
And the preceeding match with Evil Doink as the substitute for obviously not injured Lawler is a good match in and of itself.

No. But I do need his phone number for my current phone. I'd ask him myself, but he cut me off for being always after something. -
I watched 3 shows in a row from last week's Rampage to this Dynamite. The booking of Continental Classic was very interesting and went a little bit differently than I expected. So, Briscoe had the best possible showing that ended up not amounting to anything! I bet he hates math right now! Garcia had a great showing too. Ricochet taking his league instead of Claudio was probably for the better, as I figured Ospreay had to be the runner up. Semifinals look fantastic, but the obvious final of the two runners up is some last episode of How I Met Your Mother bullshit, because winning the league amounts to jack shit this way. Darby getting his revenge on Claudio by proxy was good shit. Yet, Kommander gets a win but Beast goes 0 for 5, not super cool. Still, all 3 shows were very strong but now my head hurts!

Traveling back home today, so basically no activity whatsoever, besides sitting in a car. But my weight is at 203 lbs and two pizzas are in the oven as I write this, so I am pretty confident that tomorrow evening I no longer qualify as a cruiserweight for a little bit! Yup, it's tomorrow and I'm up to 207, but that's straight after dinner of turkey and potatoes!
-
I hate to ask, but was that the other, non-Italian side of the family? Just kidding!

Cutting back on the calories that you drink is a simple and effective way to clean up your diet, which should result in pounds lost. Every little bit of more activity also helps in the long run. Consistency is the key, like it is in so many things. Starting with the easiest stuff and working your way up once you get used to it, just like in anything else. Keep up the good work!

A two hour hike to the southernmost peak of Finland, just like last few Christmases, a 30-minute pump workout at the gym before some mild swimming and resistance water training by using floater as training equipment. Then sauna, steam room, cold water pool and some massage with water cannons in the therapy pool. Considering the amount of drinks was very modest for it being Christmas eve last night, there has been way more activity than debauchery on this Holiday Get Away.

Sure, but should he really be doing that with the state his neck is in at this point? Well, dying doing what he loves, is of course a way to, if you're gonna go! -
Weird. Some warmer weather over here in Finland, especially in the southern part. There was plenty of snow back home, but the snowfall turned into rain a couple of days ago. It hasn't been very cold so far this winter, save for a few days. Really odd how different it is over there!

One hour, 8+ kilometer run/jog this morning. Luckily, no ice or snow in the southern tip of Finland. Still, it felt pretty rough, especially the one sprint up a hill with a watertower. We will go to a spa later on today. I heard there's a gym. I'm not sure if I will try it on, or not? Yeah, I did try it. 27-minute upper body pump workout followed by very modest swimming, sauna and 1 minute in the cold water pool. Now back to consuming mad calories!
