  1. If they don't just bring back Danny Devito as Sid they're fucking up.
  2. There was a period where they kept going back to the well of the champion and the number one contender being unlikely tag champions, which is I guess one reason they didn't adhere to those rules.
  3. It'd be worth it if he signed all of his tweets "Nothing but love, with arms wide open brother. TC"
  4. Now that I'm thinking about it, it's also unlikely AJ's the same wrestler he is right now if he's spent the last dozen years only working the WWE house style and doing their schedule.
  5. I just watched the first episode of Butcher's Block. I love this show. They always deliver character driven horror fleshed out by great actors. I forgot Rutger Hauer was in it and lost it when he popped up. He's weirdly aged into looking just like an older Kirk Douglas. For some reason I've always felt horror was the best at exploring economic crises and anxiety. The stuff with the dying city reminded me of Reagan-era depictions of cities in horror movies.
  6. That's a tough one. You can plug AJ in as an analog for a few guys from around that time or a little later (Kendrick, London, Bourne, Low Ki) but he's better than them and wouldn't have the issues that led to them leaving. Maybe he wrestles Ziggler and Kofi 10,000 times for the US title and slides down to gatekeeper in NXT. Maybe he ends up with a push and there's no spot for Bryan. I don't know. Ultimately the way his career panned out didn't stop him from being regarded as one of the best in the world or making more money than most wrestlers will ever see in their entire lives.
  7. I don't get these Jesus jokes, but I'm not that familiar with most of his career, just his run with Los Boricuas.
  8. I grew up regularly watching that TV movie/failed pilot where Cheech and David Hasselhoff are part of a modern Four Musketeers solving crimes on motorcycles. It was a surprise to later find out him and the guy from Far Out Man were once a famous comedy team.
  9. I've always been meaning to watch Golden Palace. I'm sure it's not great or anything, but I've seen every GG episode at least three times and I'm a completist.
  10. They're real and they're spectacular.
  11. He'd be better off as Raw GM. They have three hours to kill every week and if he's in every other segment and spells out his name whenever he's on camera that'll eat some up.
  12. They're really getting creative trying to unload Sheamus merchandise.
  13. The MMA gimmick was hilarious, but also that parking lot fight with Angle during that time is one of the highlights of anything TNA has ever done as a television program.
  14. I've always had a soft spot for JJ because when I started watching WWF he had just come back from WCW and was doing the JR semi-shoot interviews and had that rad Aztec design singlet and robe. I thought he was a huge star. It was all kind of downhill from there, but he had some really inspired moments in TNA and Ring Ka King was brilliant.
  15. If Punk keeps insisting on getting punched in the head, Hunter might eventually be able to lure him back just by jangling a shiny set of keys.
  16. You have to tell them it's one of those coastal elite hunters. No one cares about hunters in flyover states.
  17. I barely have time to watch any individual matches from each week that are talked about favorably here. It's hard to believe there was a time in my life where I consumed maybe 6-8 hours a week of wrestling as it aired. It does help that there's so much content that really isn't worth watching and heroes who are willing to parse through it and pimp the good stuff.
  18. Miz keeping it too real.
  19. I can dig it.
  20. It's a good thing Vader fucked up there or Hogan might not have saved the youth center from greedy land developer Ric Flair.
  21. Pretty stoked that a tattoo my wife created is getting some sports media attention.
  22. It might be my intermittent explosive disorder.
  23. I just imagined an entire episode of Ride Along with Orton and Big Cass just to make myself mad.
  24. Seth really manages to fail his way upwards this time of year.
