Busick had a great year in PWG. Busick wrestled Thatcher in a great match and Busick vs Hero and Busick, Everett & Lee vs Bucks & Super Dragon, both from BOLA, are amazing.

I just saw this match over the weekend. It's GREAT.

Being a smart fan used to mean shitting on the big guys and liking indy dudes. Now it's the opposite. We are through the looking glass, people.

From some of the arguments here, it sounds like Tyler is getting sympathy votes because of how his push was killed. Please please don't anybody vote based on NXT Gargano alone.

Just like with Tyler Breeze, I don't think old school gimmicks like this have a place in wrestling anymore. Or are we supposed to be enjoying Kongo Kong ironically?

Apropos of nothing here but the best thing I saw Strong involved in was the PWG fans chanting "shitty little boots" at him, then one boot came off and they chanted "shitty little socks." Then the sock came off and they chanted "shitty little feet."

Funny how they created an entire video package for the Freebirds based around not using shots of them in their confederate flag getups.

Maybe we can just have Negan show up on Talking Dead and kill off Chris Hardwick instead

I just realized the PPV was their anniversary show, which adds to the lulz. "Let's celebrate 14 glorious years by jobbing out the roster to the guys you're really here to see!"

Yeah, apparently when he signed Flair, Vince told him something to the effect of, "if I eventually end up using you at a level below the world title and you don't want that, you can leave." I don't know if that's true because it's unusually magnanimous but that's always been the story.

When they work over here, NJPW actually stands for No Jobs Pro Wrestling I thought the same thing but then I realized it doesn't matter. ROH is a promotion aimed squarely at smart marks who apparently don't care. ROH is just NJPW's minor league. The fans wanted to see a New Japan showcase at the expense of the ROH roster and that's what they got. I'm still amazed that the ROH roster went 0-5, though. There's got to be some middle ground between "their guys shouldn't beat our guys (TM Kevin Dunn) and outright whoring your promotion.

In a world where the Canadian destroyer is laughed at, it's totally cool for Kurt Angle to essentially suplex himself. I mean holy fuck, look at it. Benoit waistlocks him and then he does a standing moonsault.

I love the board filterr changing O-M-G to One Man Gang. I'm working my way through all the manias and I just finished #6. Holy shit is Hogan-Warrior overrated. I remember seeing this live on PPV. Back then, everybody thought it would be an absolute pile of shit. Because we went into it thinking that and it turned out to be "not awful," the match got a reputation for being actually good. It definitely wasn't. There are SO MANY RESTHOLDS as Warrior is clearly blown up, several times, like he just ran a marathon instead of just working at a moderate pace with a guy in his mid 30s. At first I was like, "well, it's probably his longest match ever." Then I remembered he had an IC program with Rude and no way did those matches only go 5 minutes. Holy fuck, the dude was so gassed. Then there are occasioans when the guys are on totally different pages. There's a point where Warrior is doing his "run the ropes and hit multiple clotheslines" thing and Hogan is working like he's never seen this spot in his life, just out of position all over the place, forcing Warrior to hold up on his running, hit the ropes to his right or left instead of across from him in an attempt to reposition, etc. It just looked so awkward and terrible. Finally, we had Hogan at his Hoganest, getting not one but TWO visual pins. AND THEN the fucker had the balls to actually count the pins himself so there'd be no shadow of a doubt that he could beat this guy. God forbid he do one clean job in five years. Then he hogged the camera and mugged it up a bit after the loss. God dammit. So yeah, definitely not a good match despite our lowered expectations.

So all we need are two products and we've got a reunion on our hands for Mania
