Danny Thomas, not Danny Kaye. Exactly. Didn't the Boogie Woogie/glass table story originate here in the sleaze thread? Someone simply took the longstanding Danny Thomas urban legend and replaced it with Boogie and the Rock N Roll Express. No clue if I have posted this here before. But last Labor Day weekend I was doing video work for a fed in North MS who brought in Boogie Woogie. Before the show we are all hanging out in the locker room. And someone that had rode with me asked Boogie about the glass table story. "I AM TIRED OF THESE LIES AND HALF TRUTHS ABOUT ME ALL OVER THE INTERNET BROTHER!!...... It was the Midnights that walked in not the Rock N Rolls!" then he laughed. So either he just confirmed the story. Or he was just joking. Still it was a great moment from a weekend full of great moments.Like watching the Lawler/Funk empty arena match in an empty arena and half way thru watching it Jerry Lawler came in. Walked over and did a bit of commentary while watching it with us.

Bu Ku Dao is one of the best in the deep south indies. And him and Masters had a great match at this Wildkat Sports show. Was there live and was one of the most fun matches I had seen in a long time.

An absurd resolution, my friend. Books will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no books. Or something like that. Probably, but I'm at 100 or so books that I've bought and not read. If I didn't curb it for a bit, it would become even more ludicrous than it already is. Last time I bother counting my pile of unread books,which was over a year ago,I was sitting at right at 600. But I can't pass up cheap books. So no way could I go a year without buying some.

I got 105 ish read. But I also got lots of free time and finally started doing digital books this past year.

From GF 3 terabyte external HD. A stocking that was packed with Pez dispensers and Archie Digests that she mailed to the coast so I would have it X-mas morning. Then the other night she took myself and my youngest to go see Star Wars ep 7.And treated us to dinner afterwards. Outside of my finally having enough of one cousin X-mas day,Almost came to a "Either I leave or you leave bloody and bruised" situation,it was a decent holiday.

I am a bit biased,with Bob being my favorite current wrestler,but his book is the second best wrestling bio I have read. With only Gary Hart's being better. But after getting to meet him last year and chat with him I realized Bob doesn;t bite his tongue.

I keep hearing a rumor that the only real reason AR Fox hasn't gotten an NXT deal is because of the porn he did before becoming a wrestler. As far as Mickie James,looks like all she did was pose for some nude pictures. I know some of them were published by Leg Show. The others I have no clue where they were published.

Read this last night when I couldn't sleep and loved it. In 86 the only JCP stuff I got to see was the syndicated show. In my area we got more of the WWF syndicated shows plus Mid South.Memphis,Florida,WCCW and Continental. Gotta disagree with you on the Sheepherders and Duggan. While I didn't care for either of them in WWF. I loved them in the other territories.

Back 4 years ago at Coast Con a long time fan from NOLA had passed away earlier that year. He had a huge collection of books. And told his sons "Take them to cons and sell them cheap." First day of the con stuff was 2 bucks a book. Day 2 they were a buck each. Day 3 was 50 cents each. Then the last hour of the con they were 25 cents each buy 5 get 1 free. I dropped 40 bucks on books in that last hour. Got complete runs of ERB Tarzan stuff,lots of the Wild Cards novels. The first 10 or so of the Gor novels. And all kinds of other stuff. When heard 10 cent books I was as happy if not happier than the dog in the above gif.

All I have read was Dr Strange #1 and it was great. But I am also a huge Dr Strange mark.

Watts era WCW was bad about it too. They claim 5000 people were at Beach Blast 92 in Mobile. There is no way it as every half that many. I was there. The floor seats were not full and the bleacher seats were 90% empty I doubt there was more than 1500 there.

I was tempted to make my second son's middle name Joey,after Joey Ramone of course. But decided against it.

Since I was filming the entire show for Powerslam I passed off my camera to a friend. Was her first time ever filming anything and she did pretty decent.The tall dude with a camera in the blue shirt and black hat you see moving around ringside is me.

Weird fact. Satchel's son was the janitor at my Jr High. One day he saw a bunch of us trading baseball cards. Came over. "Hey my dad was a pitcher for a long time.I will bring some of his cards tomorrow." Next day he shows up with a shoebox stuffed full of his Dad's MLB rookie cards.

I know of one. But he has no internet and watches any wrestling that comes on TV. He was kind of mad that TNA cancelled the NOLA PPV taping and the Biloxi house show.
