  1. Decent enough Raw, nothing too exciting, seemed mostly there to set up stuff for next week. Love them saying every week how dominant the Judgment Day are, when they continue to lose and lose and lose. "They are united and stronger than ever!" Dude, they just lost on a miscommunication finish, again. Really thought Drew was turning on Riddle, with the half assed mystery partner thing and Riddle taking 90% of the match.
  2. Just expanding to include other members of the Commonwealth
  3. Lovely tribute to Flip Gordon and the spirit of the original All In by having MJF and Cole wrestle on the preshow and on the main card.
  4. The one who is a spitting image of Dynamite is really good, the taller one is pretty decent
  5. There seems to be a bit of confusion about that. According to the deal, they have a no compete, which might just mean they are not allowed to start their own sportsbook, not that they can't have other sportsbooks advertise with them. I would imagine that it makes up the majority of the advertising revenue.
  6. Thought this was a really fun show, even with nothing big booked. Can we fire the Hardys and keep RVD as the resident nostalgia act? He looked great. Sting doesn't count as a nostalgia act, he's more the avenging spirit of AEW. This episode also featured the best Nana dance to Swerve's music yet.
  7. If Portnoy ever sells again, 50% of any sale goes to Penn
  8. Salem, Massachusetts by way of Winnipeg, Manitoba
  9. If we're going that route, at least book the Billington Bulldogs, they're actually good
  10. LOL, looks like Marty Scurll is doing a little tour of Manitoba. Can't believe he was in Winnipeg yesterday and I missed him. He must have been pumped it was an all ages show. I've literally never heard of Primos wrestling (nor the collectibles shop that runs them), but it looks like they've been running in Winnipeg and in small towns in Manitoba for awhile.
  11. Who cares about the main anyway? The more I think about the 3-way, the more I enjoy it. Lots of things you can do coming out of it. Im particularly hoping we get “I’m sick of playing nice” total ass kicker Bianca Belair Also, give Priest the other belt. I honestly can’t believe that I think Punishment Martinez is the coolest guy they got going right now
  12. Lord, save me from anymore 40 minute Roman Reigns things Loved Gunther/Drew, 3-way, and Seth/Finn. Favourite thing about the 3-way was that they worked it almost exclusively with all 3 wrestlers in the ring, rather than the usual 2 in, 1 out. It led to some awkward moments and timing as they tried to position 3 people for spots, but I appreciate it. Great finish, great cap with the cash in. I liked, but was disappointed in Cody/Brock. Glad Cody Rhodes can move on. The rest was varying levels of butt (e: I guess the battle royal was fine for a payday match, would have rather had Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus if we are dropping things)
  13. There was a period when Tony would block anyone on twitter who mentioned wrestling to him. Even if it was something complimentary like "you were my favourite announcer"
  14. Just watched Stat’s promo, fantastic. Doing squats with Renee on her shoulders is some great, silly 1980s WWF stuff. I also loved that she clearly started intending to tell Mercedes to make sure to get some rest before their match on Collision, but audibled part way through to be like no, actually do a bunch of work around the house so it’s nice for me
  15. I think it's highly likely. Can't be that many Tammy Sytch's running around. The location fits. She was known to be a huge wrestling fan before getting in the business
  16. I don't have too much to add other than I think LuFisto rules and I think Ruby Soho rules and I want more women's wrestling when I watch AEW. I have no problem with the AEW women defending the locker room, but MJF's tweet rubbed me the wrong way. It is bad enough when "fans" shit on a wrestler for supposedly not making it, but its fucking stupid when an actual wrestler does it. It shits on 99% of the wrestlers in history and presents this idea that unless you worked for one of WWE, WCW, or AEW your career was nothing. Getting signed is as much about being in the right place at the right time and getting in with the right people, as it is with talent. The wrestling world is fucking huge and there's so many ways for people to have a career, especially now. Lots of great wrestler went their entire career not getting signed, lots of shitty ones worked years and years in major companies. You're mad at her and want to defend your company? Sure, great. But don't pull out that fucking internet troll-ass indy nothing insult.
  17. A super unexpected find I recently came across. Purchased a stack of old wrestling mags and one of them had this absolutely wild letter writer. Could you imagine a Jannetty-Sunny marriage?
  18. If you haven't read it already, I highly recommend Pain and Passion, the history of Stampede Wrestling book.
  19. That's really not that much, especially when you take into account lost future earnings from the inevitable delays and cancellations to come
  20. She’s right though, TK does not give a shit about the women’s division. The odd featured match does not make up for the absolute bare minimum effort put in most of the time. 3 matches a week, almost always at the same spots in the shows
  21. You don't want to risk the British Museum stealing him
  22. I've only seen Mod Fuck Explosion, but it fucking ruled. It was literally all I thought about for a solid week after seeing it. Very easy buy for me, even just for the remastered version of MFE E: I'm really interested in Terminal USA, because it was aired on PBS after he won a grant from them to make it
  23. If it was April 13/2010, you saw him on the show and in a dark match Drew McIntyre defeats Kane by DQ (3:10) Dolph Ziggler defeats R-Truth (2:12) Michelle McCool (w/Layla & Vickie Guerrero) defeats Mickie James (4:19) Rey Mysterio & The Hart Dynasty (David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd) (w/Natalya) defeat CM Punk, Darren Young & Luke Gallows (w/Serena) (13:20) JTG defeats Caylen Croft (w/Trent Barreta) (3:13) Jack Swagger (c) defeats Chris Jericho and Edge (15:56) Dark Match Rey Mysterio defeats CM Punk
