Not to draw attention away from such a controversy, but since my first wrestling post was well-received, i decided to post a link to my new one: Who killed WCW, part 1. Maybe not new info, but i promise it's not nearly as douchey and self-righteous as the vast majority of those who have written on this topic...http://sb.gg/AyDI

I kinda look at the 1 hr. show as half of a 2 hr show. If you watch 2 back to back it flows a lot better...

I never thought Dustin Rhodes was bad in WCW. His first run, anyway. His body language just screamed "im doing this to make my dad proud." Like watching a guy in a contract dispute in sports. Does a satisfactory job in every aspect, but body language screaming "i wish i weren't here..."

Man, when he and Brian Adams became Kronik, I used to sit there thinking about how into a tag team of Adam Bomb and Crush I would've been when I was 12. Missed out on one there...

I enjoyed Entourage. Drama killed it. I think if people go in expecting to be taken on as existential journey, they're missing the point. It's a 90 minute episode of the show, and I'm ok with it. Also, watching Ari Gold go fucking nuts is always a good time...

It should have been this way since Rollins turned instead of trying to make Roman Samoan John Cena. That's why I loved the moment when Ambrose came through the curtain driving the paddy wagon. Reigns is taking an assbeating from, like, five dudes, and still starts laughing when Ambrose pulls some shit. Ambrose and Reigns are like the friends who meet in 5th grade, but Reigns comes from a good family while Ambrose lives with his uncle who's just trying to keep him straight. Even thought they run in different circles now, they're still homeys from way back.

What'd he say about Ziggler?

At the end of the day, to me, the fact that a kid who's beating cancer got to be the focal point of a John Cena promo. I can't havea problem with that. I cannot find it in my heart to be cynical about that...

Wouldn't this spot have made a lot more sense if he was scheduled to enter #3, then did the reveal after everyone else came out? I also figured Henry's thing was planned as a way to cut 5 minutes out of the match, but the whole thing was weird and not very good. See, I figured the Henry thing was an accident, and the Sheamus thing was a way to extend the match so that Ambrose/Rollins didn't have to fill more. Later on, Chioda? was yelling at mark Henry "stay there, Mark" during a nearfall because he wasn't supposed to be in the match yet...

I didn't think it was that bad. You know your career has bottomed out when I'm excited for a guy to job on a pre-show. Seems like Ryder's finally proved something to some people. Good for him. I thought the tag chamber match was fun. The Ascension finally look like they belong. I echo the love for Titus. Definitely his best showing. His selling with his head through the chain was fantastic. Even though Kevin Owens looks like that kid on youtube who cried when Batista won the Royal Rumble, I was impressed by him hanging w Cena. Cena has entered a plane of work rate level not often seen. IC Chamber was a mess. It sounded less like Ziggler was loudly calling spots and more like they were re-arranging on the fly after HEnry came in too early. I still can't decide if I think that was intentional or not. Neville/Dallas was in a bad spot, but I thought they were very good. Rollins/Ambrose was awesome. Rollins just doesn't do it for me. I don't think he's a good promo and I don't buy him as someone anybody who's been in the business as long as HHH would look at and see "the future." Excited to see where Ambrose/Rollins goes. I was really afraid Orton was gonna come down w Reigns.

It took me months to figure out why Goldust's signature spots looked so familiar after he debuted. I am a fool.

Damn, that was a fantastic article. Great job. Will definitely share but don't feel afraid to pass that along to people. Tweeting it out to a couple worthwhile Twitter accounts for example might help get the ball rolling. I wouldnt know who to tweet about it...

Good work, fella! One minor quibble, don't fall for the Wade Barrett bare knuckle fighting thing. He was a recruitment consultant when he started training for wrestling. I thought I'd seen some youtube footage of it. I can redact it if my mind is playing tricks on me. Very possible.

Wrote a blog post about wrestling. Won't be new information for most of you, but if you wanted to help me and click the link, I'd consider it a favor and will owe you a click later on... http://sb.gg/Aiqp

I don't think he's any worse in-ring than say, R-Truth or Heath Slater. It's all good. There are probably guys like that for all of us. I don't understand at all what people see in Tyson Kidd. I think he has the personality of wet laundry and I think his in-ring work is overrated.

Gregg, I'm normally with you. But it's unfair to render a verdict on Zack Ryder based solely on the fact that the office has never gone out their way to so thoroughly shit on anyone as they have Ryder. The guy got punished for going out and doing exactly what they ask their talents to do. I hope this past monday leads to something good for Zack. He deserves it. Also, I don't get the hate for Entourage. That show was really fun...

That's a GOOD point. I had fantasy booked D-Bry doing it at Wrestlemania next year, but i dont think thats happening at this point...

I like Entourage. Good show. Thought they looked not mortified to be there, which helps...

Good for Zack Ryder. He responded to the moment. Hopefully something good will happen for him. Enjoyed Ambrose showing up a la Austin. Good stuff.

That's not the worst idea I've ever heard. You could take up the last hr of a Raw just sending midcarders of escalating levels of credibility out of the locker room one after the other and have Brock just murder them...

Let Kane be the one who does something to the Diva he's seeing. Balor tries to beat him without giving in to hate, a la John Cena, but can't. Enter the New demon, who does what no one else could and retires Kane. I'd pay money to watch that...

I agree. I like the idea of a female with them, but Carmella is such a natural heel...

+1 for Enzo & Big Cass. Everything about their presentation has become so polished. I also really liked the image on the screen making it look like they were on the Brooklyn Bridge during their entrance. Cool touch. Blake & Murphy do nothing for me. They remind me of Lenny Lane and Lodi. Owens/Zayn was really fun, for being a hate-filled match during which one guy really couldn't bump. Samoa Joe!!!

At this point, is there anything Jericho says which this thread won't vehemently attack? This overwhelmingly consistent hatred recently is awfully damn weird, guys. I don't see anything like this at other wrestling boards. When Jericho became a whiny bitch who can't take any criticism at all, I stopped respecting him. Plus, his monologue portions of the podcast has revealed the guy is the least funny man alive. I had assumed he was being cheesy on purpose, like most mid 40 yr. olds. I could be wrong...
