Still waiting on Smackdown to record at 2 AM this morning or next, but I watched Gable/Ziggler and it was good. I wouldn't go so far as to call it BattlARTS even with a full-blown Diet Butcher EVEREST~! Wheelbarrow German Suplex. But it was a lot of really solid, intense matwork and Ziggler even pulled out a win in his hometown which truly shows that Vince has left the building.

EDIT: I guess I saw a bit of the three way Gable was in the week prior, but I don't recall it. As is the story of the three way (outside of Tajiri vs Super Crazy vs Little Guido). The FFWD was triggered for most of that first 'statement' show. Less so on week 2, at least during matches.

If you ever want to see Gable at his best I suggest checking out his tag team with Jason Jordan. Their matches against FTR were great.

I had to give it to GUNTHER vs. Shinsuke. Shinsuke had that flash of what once was despite years of soft work, and GUNTHER comes in looking like a version of WALTER after suffering a bout of cancer and they both still get the crowd to bite on nearfalls and brutal offense. It was abbreviated, and a better match is probably down the road, but I always like the underdog.
