Okay I am a little confused

So I stumbled upon another player's base (which was nice because of the achievement)

What I found weird was nothing was scanned on the planet

Is that because A) they just were too lazy to scan anything or B) because I never encountered it, it was new to me

Probably A. I watch people play who are very lax with the scanning.

BTW - figured out why my first freighter wasn't free

It was because it just so happened that on like my 3rd warp - I landed in the middle of a pirate fight

The "Free" freighter comes after the 10th warp - because it finally showed up for when I jumped into a system and got the notice it was my 10th warp and then the pirates started shooting.

I did what all the tips I read online said and declined the first one because boy was it shitty

Oh the flip side - in the span of 5 minutes I was given two A class multi-tools.

One came from doing quest steps with the Armorer. The other came from a random traveler I ran into at a Space Station

I need to figure out which one I want to keep so then I can only fix that one.

I need to then weed through all the random upgrades I have and sell the majority of them

You can now sell/break down multi tools. That’s still a relatively recent addition. You do it on the top floor of the space anamoly near the door in the front, past the transporter.

Well I am enjoying it my time with the game might be coming to an end

It constantly crashes on me now - at least once a day.

Most likely its an issue with cloud saving a big file

But I also should duck into a few other games before Dragon Age gets here

The game can be so stupid at times

I guess I "crashed" entering the Analomy

Basically I ended up on top of another ship and I was sideways and thus couldn't get out of my ship, nor could I take off again.

The other dude just stood dancing on top of my ship

So it will interesting to see how much I lost by having to hard quit out

I’ve gotten stuck in trees on a planet before and it basically considered it crashed and I died.

I really need a better ship

I've unlocked two new drives that I can't install because I don't have room.

The easiest thing is to probably buy the first freighter I can afford so I can fix these ships I have accumulated

Or play on creative where you can make things free.

I have reached the point where I am just randomly selecting choices

Purge this

Delete that

Sure I will defrag this

It really seems like nothing matters

Are you still doing the main story? 

btw, there’s a new update coming soon. Sean Murray tweeted a cursing emoji. Some think it’s “cursing like a sailor’ and means a water it ship update.

Yes since I never really started it

But I have gotten to the point where a bunch of the side quests I've got need me to advance main story points forward or they wouldn't progress (at least that is what my search online said)

Lets just say - I just went to my first Atlas Station

Make sure to step on all the white lights on the floor to learn Atlas words.

The new cursed expedition appears to be very lore heavy. It's also only 2 weeks instead of the usual 6 or 8 weeks.

Rumor going around is that we will finally be able to replay the Mass Effect expedition and get the Normandy as a ship. @RIPPA

Since the current expedition ends next week, I could see them making the announcement on N7 Day.

This is a very short expedition for those who haven’t done it yet. Speed runners are doing it in under an hour. 
 

that said, some missions take forever.

World's Part 2 dropped today. Apparently a humongous update. New system, new planets, new storylines

Relics update and expedition allows you to hunt for and assemble new fossils into statues and such.

I swear I've started new games of No Man's Sky at least six times in the last nine (!!!) years, play it 10 to 20 hours, then move on to something else. If they keep doing updates I'm sure it'll happen again this year sometime. Maybe one day I'll actually get a playthrough to the end (unlikely). I still love the concept of the game and all they've added, there is just something about it that as I near 20 hours my brain is satisfied and I move on to something else.
