rainmakerrtv
This is a bit outside the discussion, as it is somebody far from well known, but this was brought to mind after reading about the recent passing of Larry D. Mann, veteran Canadian character actor who was The Boss in the 80s Bell Canada ads ("Um, your filbert flanges won't mesh with your grapple grummets? No problem!") and was the voice of Yukon Cornelius in Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. Anyhow, his brother was Paul Mann, who was nominated for Golden Globes for his roles in America America and Fiddler On A Roof (he played Lazar Wolf). Paul Mann finished career with only 5 TV/Movie credits to his name (compared with Larry's 157). In fact, he was never in a movie again after Fiddler. He did a lot of work on the stage, but it seems strange he would leave the big screen after his most high profile role (he was only 58 at the time and lived for 14 more years after that). Ace
I imagine a great deal of that was because of Gilda. And his last film was in 1991. Jeez.
