  1. In a bit of actual news, last week Jarrett met with Simon Inoki of IGF and earlier today he had a meeting with the New Japan president. He seems to be looking around for a Japanese company to form a working relationship with.
  2. Do they really need a large roster with just one-two hour show a week not counting the one match only Xplosion? Large, no. But really, 33? It's not 33. It's more like 40.
  3. An 11-year-old me saw the nWo and Goldberg and thought they were the coolest thing I had ever seen. That sealed the deal for me. I had watched some WWF prior to that, on and off for a couple of years, but wasn't really into it that much. It was just something that I'd watch every once in a while if I happened to stumble upon it and there was nothing else to watch. Then I stumbled upon WCW in early 1998 and I've been hooked eversince.
  4. Watched the Spud/Bully vs. Anderson/Aries match earlier today. If you're in the mood for some great comedy wrestling then you should definitely track this match down. Bully and Spud are absolutely hilarious as a team. Very fun match.
  5. I'd been meaning to check it out since it first came out but just finally got around to watching it and holy crap Netflix's Orange is the New Black is tremendous. Great mix of drama and comedy. The 2nd season can't come soon enough.
  6. Yeah. It remains to be seen if TNA will too.
  7. The clown in the middle. Is he anybody we would have heard of? No, unless you've been following the Canadian indy scene somewhat closely. His name is Crazzy Steve, he's an Eric Young trainee and has been wrestling mostly in Canada for about 10 years now. I've heard the name a bunch of times in the past but haven't actually seen him work so I've no idea if he's any good or not.
  8. So, KENTA's leaving NOAH next month. His last show will be May 17th. I'm guessing this means he's headed to WWE?
  9. No. They're taping the other half of the show today.
  10. GFW's new announcement is in. They're working with a production company, which is owned by the creator/producer of The Biggest Loser. Also, the database now has over 500 names~! EDIT - Now there's this article which actually sheds some light on the promotion's plans: 'Biggest Loser' Creator to Bring New Wrestling Venture to TV Highlights: "Broome and his 25/7 Productions banner is teaming with Jeff Jarrett's new wrestling venture Global Force Wrestling to executive produce new matches as well as unscripted programming" "GFW will compete with WWE and TNA, with Jarrett and Broome currently shopping TV rights to matches -- which will air both live and live-to-tape -- as well as unscripted fare." " GFW will cater to a worldwide audience and feature both well-known wrestlers as well as the best up-and-comers from all over the world." "It just won't be a bunch of wrestling matches; we have exciting announcements to come. TNA or WWE right now is match after match after match. Global Force Wrestling is not going to do that. There will be matches but there will be a lot more and a lot more variety placed into the actual events that will be really innovative and fresh"
  11. Brand new interview with Jarrett. He doesn't say much, really, but it's as much as he's going to say at this point:
  12. So, TNA just released this music video: So much douchiness. I love it.
  13. D'Amore was the agent for the matches. Dutch Mantell was the main guy booking the women. He was also the one who brought in Awesome Kong.
  14. I like Knuxie. Glad to see he's making a return and with a new character to boot. I've no idea where they're going with it but I'm definitely interested in finding out.
  15. They're still doing only 4 live PPVs this year. However, instead of having one in January they're having it in April instead.
  16. Really glad Kurt isn't working through his injuries, somewhat intrigued who they replace him with. Kurt needs to heal up for Sharknado 2. They don't really have anyone to replace Kurt, though. Unless Hardy works twice or something. Eric Young would be a perfectly fine opponent for EC3.
  17. Muto and Terry's mystery partner turned out to be:
  18. Actually, he did come back the following week for another run-in. But yeah, those two run-ins were all he ever did in TNA.
  19. For some reason the "creepy bastard" chants leading straight to a Willow vignette amused me way more than it should have. Tigre Uno is an odd name choice for the debuting Extreme Tiger. Though that said, the name's quite chantable so at least that's somewhat positive.
  20. Keiji Muto, Rob Terry and a mystery partner vs. Samoa Joe, Rene Dupree and Masayuki Kono has been added to the show.
