    LIVE MUSIC 2022

His Bonnaroo 2014 set is something to behold if you've never seen or heard it.
  2. I actually thought about trying to follow a Championship team this year. I just have no idea who. Also: https://www.espn.com/soccer/soccer-transfers/story/4724064/christian-pulisic-future-man-united-interested-in-loan-deal-for-usmnt-chelsea-forward
  3. This is a stat I can fully support.
  4. The Ringer is almost 100% a basketball site at this point. Every podcast or piece of content seems to need to have some kind of hoops reference in it. Oddly the thing that may do it the least is Ringer MMA show. I still consume a large amount of Ringer content.
  5. I know Malik has taken ownership of his own effort at Auburn, but Gus not being able to make Malik the guy still is a frustrating "what if?"
  6. NBC being involved might be good for the B1G's Notre Dame hopes.
  7. I kind of hope it just brings back the Elias gimmick. I'm a fan of that character, and dude's a solid enough worker in the ring. I don't think he should be relegated nonuse or being a jobber.
  8. Outside of maybe experiencing a Bonnaroo without my ex once, the only festivals that I have any desire to attend of note are Newport Folk and then one I'd like to attend but doubt I ever will is Glastonbury.
  9. NFL apparently stated that the Dolphins were not found to have intentionally lost games in 2019 which the only evidence that could be found for that would be the month of September with some ugly blowouts.
  10. Now I'm wanting to go back and replay it because it was a few years and I vaguely remember some of it.
  11. I've always taken it that he's acting on behalf of Mr. McMahon. He's basically his proxy.
  12. I can't think of this without watching Woods/Creed and Breeze doing the Vince McMahon YOOOUUUUUUUUUUUU PEOPLE! on Battle of the Brands.
  13. I wonder if they loophole it and just induct ECW Originals as a group, which would be how you get like Taz, Rhino, etc. in there. From a WWE Perspective, RVD and Dudleyz are probably the only ones to get individual recognitions.
  14. I just think someone got hyped up over Clark Lea's "we're going to be the best program in the country eventually" comment.
  15. God bless SEC Media Days and its media poll. Someone picked Vandy to win the SEC. It had as many SEC Champion votes as.... Texas A&M.
  16. Auburn being a team of destiny and going on a run after everything that's happened over the last couple of years would be the most Auburn thing ever. Also, Oregon and Bo Nix winning the Natty and Heisman would also be the most Auburn thing ever.
  17. Gives me hope that around the holidays might be able to seem them be even a little lower.
  18. I do expect the streaming version to be absurdly pricy though. Stuff I was reading before the other rights deals were finalized and shortly after is that the league and the owners loved the ala carte model they could offer with streaming through a per game price, a per week price, a per team price, or a full season price. Given the demand for the NFL, a Sunday ticket package being $500+ for the season is very likely through Apple.
  19. ESPN does this for its PPV model through + too. Thankfully, $5-7/month is not as awful as paying for DirecTV.
  20. I was actually having this discussion earlier this morning with someone about how biases even predate the current climate. Look at some stuff from the yellow journalism era or the racial south. There's a story I vaguely recall in an American Lit class that shows excerpts from a Times Picayune story that's beyond alarming. There's other more recent examples too that exist out there.
  21. I know the difference, but I know too many people who get their news from opinion. Also objecting opinion into news is very human and even happens in mostly objective reports.
  22. The broad polarization on your heavy corporate media channels. Too much are driven along ideology or party lines or for clicks or whatever. Or even will cover something "in the moment" that maybe contradicts how they covered something months or a year or two prior. That's why you're seeing a rise in stuff like substack and patreon at the moment. (Although, that stuff will probably take a huge hit with the recession). I originally wanted to go into journalism before circumstances took me in a different path. I also gather news from a variety of sources and almost never from tv.
  23. This just shows how few people pay attention to the news much if at all. It's worsened over the last say 6ish years as the average trust in media institutions has fallen and for good reason.
  24. Miami not being tied to any of this right now makes this a little bit more hilarious to me given they're FINALLY pretending like they're willing to invest in winning at football. Y'know, for real this time.
