  1. I don't mind that Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a slight retread graphically (like God of War Ragnarok is said to be) but the gameplay still looks a bit boring. Now they added Scribblenauts / Dead Rising weapon and vehicle creation/customization.
  2. There's no guarantee that it's coming back and no guarantee that there won't be a new trophy list. I'm skipping doing Multiversus because the trophy list looks painful (and I'm trying to Platinum Syndicate before June 15 2023).
  3. Go for the 100% now! (Seriously you don't have to - just play, complete and Platinum the games you want. You don't have to do what I do. I try to do games I know I'll enjoy doing or in some cases like Castlevania Lords of Shadow thought I would enjoy) But if you start doing stuff like Zippy The Circle Level 1 or ZJ The Ball Level 1 or Stroke The Spider or The Jumping Taco, I'm going to look at you funny.
  4. For whatever reason, I have pictured Weekend at Picard's where two Changelings are having to carry Picard's body around on Fleet Day. "Oh the Admiral was VERY excited to be here today." "Very. He had a little too much of Aldebaran whiskey before he got here."
  5. The online for Mirror's Edge was shut down earlier in the year but thankfully the Platinum/100% is still obtainable. What's sad is people bought Mirror's Edge Catalyst, but that apparently isn't good enough for EA.
  6. The day finally came for this. https://www.ea.com/games/battlefield/legacy-sunset Battlefield 1943, Battlefield Bad Company and Battlefield Bad Company 2 will be removed from digital storefronts on April 28, 2023 with a server shutdown on December 8, 2023. https://www.ea.com/legal/service-updates/r-z Also, Syndicate (2012) is shutting down on June 15, 2023.
  7. Not really with Starks as the World champion. Starks would annoy me with his "I'm totally not The Rock yet I'm virtually a photocopy of The Rock" promos. He's about as hot and cold with his matches as MJF is. The only difference between the two is Starks is a believable face but isn't ready just like MJF is a believable heel but also isn't ready.
  8. Got my 281st Platinum trophy with Knockout City on PS5. Took about 11 hours to do for me since most of the trophies autopopped.
  9. My problem is more the booking for all three of those guys doesn't lead me to believe they are world title material more so than that they are small or aren't big dudes. By that logic, Miro and Brian Cage should be in the World title picture because they are big dudes and look like main eventers....it's just that no one wants to see them. I don't have a problem with Darby having a World title reign although I have a hard time buying it personally. I mean Tony Khan gave a World title reign to MJF so he can give it to Darby.
  10. Got my 280th Platinum trophy with Knockout City on PS4. Servers are shutting down on June 6th. Trying to go back through PS5 version for Platinum #281.
  11. Or in true Memphis fashion, they do a hair vs. hair match or Jarrett's hair vs. Trent Barreta's Mom's hair. They may as well dig Doug Gilbert and Jeff Gaylord out of the mothballs and have them do run ins during the next match with Jay Lethal dressed as Eddie Marlin helping Jeff Jarrett.
  12. Jarrett could have Jay Lethal throw "battery acid" into MJF's face and have MJF sell the hell out of it. Not to mention Jarrett using a gold chain in the match and hide it behind his back pressed against the top turnbuckle or hide it in his mouth a la Lawler.
  13. Read the results and...I would give none of the wrestlers (including MJF) a World title at this point. Sammy Guevara is known for trying to beat Jeff Hardy to a wheelchair with stupid spots. Jungle Jack Perry is essentially midcard for life after his feud and promos with Christian. Darby Allin, while he has a following and fans actually like him, has lost too much to be effective (to me, if his TNT title reign was longer and lasted until AEW Revolution, I would have argued that would help his case). And we know my feelings about MJF so I won't go over that. Claudio, Moxley, Hangman Page, Jericho, Danielson (if he ever comes back) and Omega are the main event/World title material. I won't say it's a good/bad Dynamite considering I didn't watch it except for highlights but I'm somewhat over the Trios titles too. And sad to say but....Jarrett should have won the AEW All Atlantic / WCW International Championship.
  14. Got my 279th Platinum trophy with Battlefield 1 for PS4. "Nothing Is Written" war story is good enough to be a standalone game IMO. Hated the online and had to boost the trophies. I guess whenever EA decides to shut down the servers, I'll be safe.
  15. I will. I don't like Jey Uso turning on Sami Zayn at Raw. It should have continued the mystery of "whose side is he on?" until WrestleMania where Jey Uso teams up with Sami Zayn only to turn on him then Kevin Owens comes out to replace Jey as Sami Zayn's partner or make the save. Part of me really wanted to see Jey & Sami win the tag titles at WrestleMania as well.
  16. I go on vacation in the Caribbean and decided to go online to read WWE/AEW results and....JFC MJF needs to read the fucking room. Yes, it's fine to be a heel and yell at fans and point at the belt and try to piss them off or for him to say whatever 'villain's origin story' he wants to do this week. But throwing tequila at a kid? Dude, just stop. (This isn't the first time MJF tossed a drink at a fan to boot) Tony Khan saying "the champion didn't act like a champion" doesn't help. I don't know TK, but if 'your champion isn't acting like a champion,' maybe he shouldn't be the champion, you know? Stuff like this doesn't help AEW's case and doesn't help MJF's case but to be honest I'm not really clutching at pearls over it. The results' fine because it's a given that Danielson doesn't need or want the AEW title. Not sure who should challenge for the title next. I would say Eddie Kingston but he's engaging in some psuedo-work shoot mess with AEW and now wanting to be ROH. I guess Ricky Starks again? Or Hangman Page?
  17. I'd say this: Have Iron Man match and Texas Death match as the first two matches with Young Bucks/Omega vs. House of Black as the main event. That way, Bucks/Omega can claim the quiet/asleep/pretty much gone crowd were being 'reverent' to their wrestling.
  18. My copy of Wo Long just arrived and my backlog can be seen from space. I still got PS3 games from 2012 I haven't played.
  19. After playing (and Platinum'ing the game....twice), Odessa rolling over it with a barrel is probably the best thing to happen to it.
  20. Please please for the love of all that is holy keep Garek away from this show. Bringing Q and Guinan back was bad enough. The writers on Picard would take the mystery out of Garek and not realize that the fun of Garek is you're never sure if he's telling the truth or lying to you and sometimes it's both.
  21. I'm fine that they delayed it. I'd rather a Telltale game be a functional, fully working game as opposed to sometimes glitchy, sometimes stuttering messes we've seen them rush through (Game of Thrones for instance).
  22. After nearly a month without doing anything (other than Knockout City), got my 278th Platinum trophy with Crysis 2 for PS3. The servers were shut down in 2018 and I did the online trophies then. Just now finally did the rest of the game.
  23. I don't watch boxing or MMA to see characters, I watch them to see people get punched in the face or knocked out.
  24. Wow, I wasn't necessarily meaning that every AEW wrestler needs a catchphrase, there's just nothing memorable about the ones I mentioned. Here's another example to help illustrate my point: Pac has started grabbing a ringside hammer during matches and is expecting his tag partners in Lucha del Mal Morte (or whatever they are called) to do the same or cheat. But why? Only going by what the announcers are saying, I have nothing else to know why they are doing this. Has Pac done a promo asking his stable mates to do this? What motivation does he have to do any of this? Unless it's expressed, I have no clue as a viewer. For a positive example of what AEW is doing right, look at Ricky Starks. No, he doesn't have a catchphrase that I can recall. But he has a presence and a personality in the ring and on the mic. And yes, his matches can be maddening because sometimes he's great and sometimes he's isn't. I know who Ricky Starks is when he appears. Can't say the same thing for Wheeler Yuta or Daniel Garcia (and I love both of those wrestlers and think they are tremendous in the ring). I know both Wheeler and Daniel are wrestling machines, but I don't know why they are important or why I should care about either. My point is there should be characters or something that draws you in as a viewer and (this is key) make you want to come back as a viewer versus changing the channel or going to WWE or Impact or NJPW or God forbid NWA. Just throwing people into the ring every week and having the win/loss record drive the storyline isn't enough. I'm not expecting Vince Russo's booking, I'm just expecting competent booking that from week to week makes sense.
  25. MJF isn't close to being a Flair in this era, but he's been given chances at having a stable to make himself a Flair and he....blew it. Yes and no on commitment to MJF's act from others. Yes, because, let's face it, a LOT of AEW's roster lack a discernible distinct personality. Quick, name Wheeler Yuta or Daniel Garcia or even Orange Cassidy's catchphrase in their promos? What makes Bear Bronson different from Nick Commorato? You can't because they have none and everyone is a generic CAW from WWE video games. AEW does need characters and storylines and not just men and women getting into the ring to have a match for reasons. TK needs to look at who he has that are experienced and let them direct the storylines and work with these people on their characters. I do agree that MJF has a commitment to his character, I just wish his character had a journey. Suffice to say, he would be suited for WWE if he could relax a little and let other people shape him that been around. The outlandish things don't make me want to see him get beat, it actually makes me question if he even should be on TV (but again TK is seemingly fine with it so what do I know?). I would say no due to how exhausting it is watching MJF be himself. Someone on YT actually has a video called "AEW became boring once MJF became champion." His argument is everything that was surprising or unique about MJF is played out now and he's finding a lack of investment in any feuds for MJF or any factions with MJF because he's just going to turn his back on them anyway. The more reflect on it, the more my problem is with Tony Khan and his direction (or lack thereof) for AEW and not MJF. MJF is just a symptom of the problem, not the problem itself.
