  1. Barry Windham's WCW entrance music did contain the lyric:"He likes to beat people up, and he likes to have fun... you know I'm talking about Barry Windham!" EDIT: And I found it!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guZdfnxmo8k
  2. It was odd, because I remember when the first one came out it was praised for having female characters who were actual characters, with their owns wants and desires and so on. But in this sequel, it's a film about boys where the female characters are there as plot points, rather than people.
  3. It makes perfect sense for the New Day to join the League of Nations. Kofi is from Ghana, and Xavier is from Georgia. Just pretend he's the from the Georgia with a Tblisi, and not the one with an Atlanta, and you're fine.
  4. It's called Murray Mound now, actually.
  5. I watched that American Reunion movie last night. I probably should have watched the original American Pie first though, because a lot of the callbacks were lost on me. It was kind of odd that John Cho's character was still called Milf Guy #2 when he's now the most famous and successful guy from the first movie (especially considering Milf Guy #1's actor is still an unknown). One bit seemed odd though, the first few movies established that Alyson Hannigan's character was sexually insatiable, whereas in this film she tells her husband that he has to last three whole minutes before he finishes, and she's happy with that. Just seems kind of short and inconsequential, like. Was Shannon Elizabeth really busy or something? I wasn't expecting her to show up at all, but she had a few second cameo at the end there.
  6. I just find it funny that Apollo Cruise is getting a pay rise for hard work when Uhaa Nation is the laziest Wrestler I've ever seen live (and I've seen Drew McDonald). Also, Canyon Cemen might be the most unfortunate real name in Wrestling history. If a guy you've never met walked up to you and said "Hi, I'm Kanyon's Semen" you'd assume it was a test to see if you could keep a straight face, wouldn't you?
  7. Tyson Fury can never win a personality award. I mean, if he was American he'd be able to get away with saying that legalising homosexuality and abortion were equivalent to legalising paedophilia. There'd be people who agreed with that. But in Britain? Not having it. Plus, Andy Murray won with an outstanding performance. Tyson Fury won one of the most boring fights in Boxing history... and also, he's one of eleven British boxers to hold World titles at the moment. Andy Murray's alone on his hilltop.
  8. Well, if he's writing it, the word would be 'literary'. Only saying "Foley's literary masturbation", it would be too easy to pretend it said "Foley's literal masturbation". Too easy. So we'll go with 'metaphorical'.
  9. Only over with the house show crew in Florida? He's the new Lance Hoyt!
  10. Who taught Maggie how to climb a ladder? Edge? Jeff Hardy? I'm halfway up, time to slow right the fuck down!
  11. I grew up on World of Sport Wrestling. The first time I saw American Wrestling (which would be WWF syndicated shows in, like, 87) I thought it was some sort of bad joke and that none of them could wrestle at all. The second time I saw any (WCW Worldwide 1992) I thought it was really good. They had this really cool guy called Flying Brian Pillman and a really crazy Billy Conolly looking bloke called Cactus Jack.
  12. See, the only time I was really paying attention to that was when I was using the Asari Huntress, and I couldn't tell if I was getting Dark Channel back every 2 seconds or 1 second.
  13. You know how guns all have a rating, from 1 to 10? I was playing with a guy who only used one gun, and it was Black Widow X. I thought having a regular Widow I was impressive enough (I never use it though. I prefer the Krysea, because close counts. Stupid question time: If your weapon weight is low enough that your power reload time is at -100%, do you actually get your powers back twice as fast? Or is it just anything lower than 0% equals 0%?
  14. I did find I cared more about Finnick in Catching Fire than I did in Mockinjay 2. But he did have his moments in Mockingjay 1 (so did Gale, when he recounting the destruction of District 12). Which is the problem with splitting the story - all the work they did establishing minor characters in MJ1 was a year ago, so it's basically wasted because it's not fresh in the mind when watching MJ2. Having Haymitch deliver Plutarch's last letter was a good way to work around Phil Hoffman's passing away before they filmed it. Anyone who went to see the film to see Gwendoline Christie was probably disappointed though. We had a whole season of GoT where Brienne did nothing but stare at a window so she could film Hunger Games and Star Wars, and then she only had two minutes of screen time here... and I don't think she's actually in Star Wars that much either.
  15. Warm Bodies is a really stupid film.
  16. Do you find it weird how many people who play ME3 online have super high N7 and Gold Cup scores, like in the tens of thousands? With upwards of 10 or 20 blue swirl points? I mean, I know it's a fun game and you lose track of time playing it, but that had to have taken upwards of a thousand hours. Got my Drell Adept up to level 20 and uploaded him to Galaxy at war, so I'd have at least one upload in each class. Noticed I was at over $100,000 credits and bought a character pack. Got a Volus Engineer and a Volus Mercenary. Can't say I'm looking forward to playing with either of those.
  17. I was going to watch this week's Table for Three, but there wasn't one (they repeated the New Day one; If it had been a second New Day Table for Three I would have watched it). So I watched a The List instead, about failed factions. The whole thing started on the basis of a fallacy - that the purpose of a faction is to dominate the title picture and hold the main event spotlight for ages (like the Horsemen did, or the NWO). So therefore, on that basis factions that were only ever put together to be undercard comedy acts (like Three Count) or jobbers (like the J.O.B. Squad) were put on the list. And they had the BWO at number one! If ever there was a faction that outperformed it's expectations, it would be the one the BWO! That was supposed to be a one-night comedy spot and ended up getting over so much that comedy heel flunkie Stevie Richards ended up as a babyface World title challenger. I think a lot of it was either internet pandering (because so much of it (PMS were terrible! The Misfits in Action were stupid and had ridiculous names!) was basically LOL Russo wrote this! He sucks~!) or unsubtle dissing of competitors (did you know 3MB only had one talent, and that was getting beaten up? We aren't bringing that up because Drew Galloway is a top pushed guy in TNA right now or anything!). And they never bought up any examples of factions that were supposed to get mega over like Evolution did, and didn't manage it. Like Legacy, for example. Or those guys who hung around with Edge, whatever they were called. Zack Ryder was one of them. EDIT: Do you think they're taking requests for new Tale For Three castings? Because I'd really like them to have Fit Finlay, Terry Funk and Hardcore Holly do one together. Or Albert/Tensai with Robbie Brookside and Normal Smiley. Christian, Samoa Joe and Bully Ray.
  18. Do they do fireworks for Thanksgiving, or is that just Independence Day? Because it's really stupid to do fireworks in July, when it doesn't go dark until 9:30 at night (or later). If you were sensible, you'd do fireworks in November, when it goes dark at 4pm. But not late November, it's too cold to be standing outside for too long them. I'd say towards the end of the first week in November would be the ideal time to hold a fireworks display. Ha ha. Enjoy being grateful for stuff, Yanks.
  19. They're showing Team Cap in the trailer as Cap, Bucky, Falcon, Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch (no Ant-Man). But Team Tony, we've only seen Iron Man & War Machine (we've seen Black Panther fighting team Cap, but teaming with Tony). So... all the shots in the trailer are from the first half of the film, aren't they? Stark only recruits the rest of his lads when he realises he can't beat Cap & friends alone.
  20. When Zack Ryder was talking about how he and Mojo are so different, because Mojo is this crazy party animal guy, and Zack is 30 years old and doesn't do that stuff any more... Mojo is 29 years old. Zack being a guy who wrestles in NXT but doesn't train at the performance centre, how many other guys are in that spot? Just Joe (Samoa, not E Legend)?
  21. When comparing one to the other, yeah. When comparing them to their immediate contemporaries, well: "You have to realise, I've been operating at about 98% of my potential throughout my career. I'm not about to go off and make a hip hop album or a Chinese Opera". - Noel Gallagher on the difference between himself and Damon Albarn.
  22. Noel is the talented one. Liam is the one who pronounces the word Shine like it's got an extra syllable, and doesn't show up to his child custody hearings.
  23. The costume rip is a sci-fi tradition! How many times did Captain Kirk's shirt rip that way?
