  1. The Steelers team neurosurgeon is kind of a shithead

  4. Maybe he feels Mathews/Murray won't explode if he's giving them each 10-15 touches a game...while getting Sproles touches too...

    Justified

This is getting intense, setting up this wild three-way dance to end the series...and who the fuck knows what Wynn Duffy is going to end up doing at the end of the day.
  7. The home runs were OK, but they would have been better if I could have been eating a homemade bologna sandwich at the park watching them!
  8. Soler, Baez, and Bryant went back to back to back today, and all of the homers were BLASTS. The Cubs still lost.
  9. Marcus Stroman tore his ACL. Fuck everything.
  10. Still my favorite sports book.I'll throw out: The Miracle of Castle del Sangro by Joe McGuinness The Game by Ken Dryden The Fix by Declan Hill The Fix was incredible, and ridiculously depressing. Lords of the Realm is by far my favorite baseball book ever. Fantastic look at the formation of the MLBPA and its early wars with baseball's ownership. The Game of Our Lives is probably my favorite soccer book from my four-plus month series of immersing myself in footy. Number two would be Fear and Loathing in La Liga, a great exploration of Real-Barca.
  11. Yu Darvish has a sprained UCL and may need Tommy John. Fuck.
  12. Matt Harvey looked fucking awesome today. 2 perfect innings, 3 K, touched 98, and absolutely killed Bryan Holaday with a curve to end his outing.
  13. (neither do I, but I've worn a button-down maybe twice in the last year)
  14. Corey Hart needed stitches for a cut he suffered getting into a hot tub.
  15. I had no idea Bowles was even still around...last I heard was his part in that drug bust
  16. The scenes with Saul visiting possible clients were hilarious. The sexual toilet! Making a will for Hummel figurines!
  17. Mine is simple: people who don't know the difference between "dominant" and "dominate". Dominant is an adjective. Dominate is a verb. One cannot be a "dominate" force. They can be a dominant force. Really irritates me to be reading something and then see a phrase along the lines of "he's the most dominate pitcher today". NO THAT IS NOT CORRECT STOP IT
  18. I'll keep this as vague as possible...I'm four episodes in, and nothing has really "popped" for me yet. It's fine viewing, but not appointment watching like the prior two seasons. I don't feel the need to watch the entire season in 24 hours last I did last year.
  19. Saunders is going the Derrick Rose "removal" route and should be back in 4-6 weeks
  20. Bringing up the "tradition" card for a franchise that's been around 50 years, had a name change, played in three stadiums, and has won one pennant is an odd strategy. The division's needed to be balanced, and they were the best and easiest candidate to do it.
  21. Something I noticed during Garry's funeral that they never touched on any further - Ben and Leslie being flanked by the Secret Service before one of them mentions its time to leave. President Knope?
  22. Neither 154 or 144 would really effect the "the season is too damn long!" crowd. Going to 154 would probably just result in eight more off days being sprinkled throughout the current schedule, while going to 144 would probably end up just chopping a week off the schedule and no one would give a shit. By the way, Tabe - your "take as long as you want getting in, but don't bitch if you only get two warmup pitches" proposal for relievers is part of the commercial break thing. The timer starts at 2:25 (local) or 2:45 (national), and they've gotta throw their last pitch by the 30 second mark.
  23. They have. This is his first suspension in the year and a half he's been back, despite seemingly daily Twitter scuffles. This is also a paid suspension, so it's not as if ESPN is severely disciplining him.
