  1. Not comfortable with these racial overtones.
  2. Well, when you think about the insurance business model, that's pretty much what it is: they assign a monetary value to various outcomes based on their historical probability of occurring and make profits on the likelihood of said events not occurring.
  3. Gotcha. To be fair though, I get what Niners is saying: a lot of people in their 20s and 30s who used it as a schoolyard insult weren't using it to call the person a homosexual, but a loser, bitch, etc. The problem is that the reason it became the go-to word for those types of insults was its prior usage as a demeaning word for homosexuals. RE: Jonah, his apology tour is absurd because this is the same guy who's idea was to be posessed by the devil via assfucking of a 12 inch demon cock. I don't think anyone could seriously argue that Hill has any ounce of homophobia in his body, which makes his pleading all the more unnecessary.
  4. Putting pets down is literally the fucking worst.
  5. Yup, despite it being a false equivalency.
  6. I can't believe it's now the "f-word." Fuck.
  7. I think you're skipping over the more obvious reason here for said behavior.
  8. Uuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggggghhhhhhhuuughhgghhhughhh
  9. What are these fans OF, exactly? WHAT DOES THIS MAN DO FOR A LIVING?
  10. To be fair, I think that's just because no one cares about Justin anymore. (I still don't know what he does professionally, besides clutter up my newsfeed)
  11. I feel bad for the guy. You'd think he murdered a baby with the apology tour he's on.
  12. If you go from an idle, obese lifestyle to one of slender and active, you're bound to put weight on as it's most likely muscle. I.E. I went from 42 inch waist at 270lbs to 34in at 180, to currently 220 at 36. Which one is the healthiest/best looking? It's pretty obvious, despite the 40lb gain.
  13. The worst thing to come about from this thread is discovering that Ratner is directing Beverly Hills Cop 4.
  14. In that case I'd schedule it as Chest/Back/Shoulders/Back/LegsAndCardio. Do legs and cardio at the end since that'll take longer to recover than anything else. At the risk of being accused of mistaking this for an "advanced weightlifting forum," here are some tips that I wish I had known when I first started: - No arm day. First 3 or so years I lifted I included an arm day in there, like a majority of people. Biggest fucking waste of time. You should be doing enough compound exercises on other days (at least 3 - 4 "push" exercises for chest/shoulders day and 4 "pulls" on back days) that your arms will increase in proportion with the rest of your body. - ALWAYS do medium-to-wide grip exercises (bench, rows, pull downs, etc) as these primarily work your chest/shoulders/back, and your arms as secondary. Given the size of those muscles compared to your arms, your arms are smaller and thus are the ones to fatigue first anyway. - Building on that, always do isolation exercises (various flys, pullovers, etc. Basically any exercise that doesn't require you to push/pull with your arms) at the end, after compounds. When you start to wanna get crazy, should do wide-grip compounds, isolations, narrow-grip compounds (I.E. Chest day would go something like medium grip bench, medium grip incline, push ups, flys, narrow grip bench).
  15. Except Howard TV is no more, so any Youtube clips of recent stuff would be audio files that we'd be lucky enough for listeners to upload.
  16. I heard the George line "Jerry, just remember, it’s not a lie if you believe it" dropped into a radio show yesterday and it got me thinking how utterly brilliant Seinfeld is. I put Curb Your Enthusiasm right there with it. Antacular I think we need a Stern thread. The only thing that keeps me from starting one is I've been like 3 months behind for years. For those who don't know the show is still great and no other interviewer even comes close to Howard. #1 and the best. That's my all time favorite line from TV ever, can't count the number of times I've quoted it. The way George says it as if it's some deeply held secret that he's reluctant to reveal makes that scene perfect. Seinfeld is #1, and Curb is #2. Whereas the former had to be more clever on certain topics due to censors, I'd say the latter has more LOL moments. Howard is the only interviewer I can listen to for hours on end, nevermind the rest of the show. Perfect example of someone who's only gotten better with age (Larry David has remained remarkably consistent). But where would we stick a Howard thread? Music? Land of Confusion?
  17. Yeah it's pretty good. I still prefer Maher to everyone else, but I suspect Oliver might one day eclipse Stewart in terms of greatness.
  18. If you're gonna do a 4-day a week routine, I'd recommend Chest/Back/Shoulders/CardioOrLegs. If you plan on doing cardio before/after every workout (and you should do after since that's what REALLY gets your results), there's little reason to do your legs at all. In which case the 4-day routine I'd use would be Chest/Back/Shoulders/Back, with chest day at high intensity, back days at medium, and shoulders at low being that chest will hit your front shoulders and back will hit your rear shoulder parts.
