  1. It would be a radical change from any NFL OT but I kind of loved XFL's approach to OT. Both teams have a chance to go for a TD from I think the 10 yard line and whoever's first to get it wins. It saves time and also can create drama almost like a PK shootout for soccer. Whether that's actually good for the league or even one bit realistic who knows but I sure loved the idea.
  2. I was rooting for the 49ers the whole game and wished they won. I don't even care for the Chielfs one bit. But when they won I oddly had the biggest smile on my face and this is the reason why. Now for the stuff I actually cared about the commercials were 75% bad and the good ones were good but not quite memorable. The halftime show might not be an all-timer but I was thoroughly entertained by it all yet felt old realizing when a lot of those songs came out. But I like Usher and was thrilled to see the people he had with him.
  3. They have a Saturday night block on Cartoon Network with that name showing anime. So while I now know what you mean it would be fucking wild to see an AEW show of some type on this version of Toonami. And honestly considering the WB tie in why the fuck wouldn't they try this by now.
  4. I'm trying to avoid buying wrestling shirts anymore since I have too many and am trying to give some away. But that is a pretty damn nice one for Ali though I hope there's one that's a bit more evergreen than just one campaigning for a championship.
  5. It felt super weird seeing WWE footage on TNA considering the history but man did I love that piece on Joydynne.
  6. Mox/Hardy wasn't bad though I'm not sure what they're doing with Jeff. No matter what he turns into I don't think I'll like it but whatever. Aside from that it was a fun setup episode that breezed on by. I'm torn between Page/Toa and the main as my favorite for different reasons. One had Hangman bumping like a freak to make Toa look like a king among men (I think he succeeded) and the other had RVD beating the shit out of poor Swerve. Both wins felt earned due to the beating Page and Swerve took and it helped each cases for being in the top of the rankings. Even if these aren't on MOTYC lists they were still ones that will hold up quite well on rewatch. Also, during commercial for Deonna/Taya Excalibur said "Jeff Harvey" and Tony had his head on the desk losing it. It's worth checking out and I just love how Toni on commentary is an excuse for them to loosen up.
  7. Only reason I'm going for SF is because of Kittle with his Cero Miedo love. Aside from that I'm just hoping for more wacky commercials that don't suck and good halftime show.
  8. Hey, I'm with ya on the positivity for tonight. Hangman/Toa will fucking rule and I think Swerve/RVD will be pretty darn great. I'm not as confident in Mox/Hardy due to Jeffrey but the rest of the show sounds like a breezy good time.
  9. I somehow blanked on them being on commercial break and thought the censors were asleep at the wheel for the first one. But that makes sense. I am curious what a motivated Nemeth outside of WWE can do and first match in I'm digging what he's doing. Maybe it was the Dolph Ziggler name/gimmick that soured on me over time but a fresh start was needed. I'm also a big fan of Mustafa Ali so am happy to see what he brings to the table. I know he had a bunch of ideas that got shot down in WWE so if he can pull off a fraction of that in TNA I think it's gonna be great stuff.
  10. Yeah, man. I saw somebody mention it was Great Value Hard Times and for all the deserved shit Punk gets I just can't in good conscience agree with that. He can be a good guy and I was especially loving when he said "Best in the world are those who are fighting cancer". Whether it's Punk or somebody else I can get behind that.
  11. I thought that's where they were as well. I do think if Deeb's gonna get a belt then it'd would be the TBS for starters. But Julia's great so if/when this happens I'd like it to be a few months down the line.
  12. After finally catching up on the weekend stuff (and now TNA mind you) I just wanted to quickly get this in before the thread closes for tomorrow's new one. Rampage was breezy fun but holy fuck that might be one of my favorite Collisions ever. Top to bottom I was really enjoying each match and in the case of the Danielson/Nagata and the main got really fucking into it. So when Garcia left to cap a really well done trios cage match I was pumping my fist and loudly cheering. Hot damn was all that great. Also, Deeb was super smooth and I'm a big fan of her so for the love of everything can we please get a belt on her ASAP? Thanks.
  13. It sure does. I queued up 2005 Unbreakable for the triple threat with AJ/Joe/Daniels.
  14. Did I mention I fucking love BTDO? If not then yeah I fucking love BTDO.
  15. Yeah, her rematch with Jordynne was her last contracted match with TNA. It only took a couple weeks but I subscribed yearly for TNA+ So I guess I'm back in on the TNA train.
  16. Ha! That would have been very amusing trying to find a power outlet in a crowded bar let alone connecting to wifi. But I use TeamViewer to remote into my home computer and get things done. It was weird as Peacock worked on shows while I was on the computer but while remoting it it would have a black screen. When Firefox and Edge failed me I was finally able to get it working on Opera. Fun fact, half the times I streamed on Discord I was out and about. So if I ask how the stream is it's likely because I'm out. At least the ROH shows are reliable for me and I feel confident about AEW shows via Fite. But that's streaming for ya. Now that you mention the laptop if that was all I had especially years ago I might have been stubborn enough to try it. It would have drove my wife up the wall but I would have tried it back then.
  17. We were at Jimmy's Seafood and despite the expensive bill we had fun watching it. It's been a few years since we went for a show and I had a feeling the crowd would lose their minds for folks like Cody and especially Jade. So end of week stuff be damned why the hell not? The woman's match was much more entertaining than the men's as the men's felt like a slog especially towards the end. I was happy to see Naomi/Trinity back and I would hope they've seen just how great she's gotten in TNA (I know she started during the Impact days but I started back with them from Hard to Kill) Speaking of TNA I was delighted to see Jordynne even if I had to deal with a woman next to me criticizing her looks the whole time (won't say what but let's just say I didn't feel bad when her guy walked out on her later on) I might have to rewatch some of the early stuff with Jordynne since I won't have to put up with that on rewatch. But anyway I loved that they brought her in. Chelsea was fantastic and everybody had to settle down when Jade appeared. And man did they freak out when she dumped Nia. I'm happy Bayley won and was pretty entertained through it all. The two regular matches were honestly a bore and I was hoping the men's Rumble would be fun. But it just lacked that spark to it for reasons covered here. The highlights were R Truth being a goddamn treasure and McAfee's entrance/exit. Other than that that was about it and we were itching to leave once it got down to Cody and Punk. I could see a case for either winning but was cool with Cody winning.
  18. Why I went to playing Fire Pro when first reading about it who knows. But fuck it here's Mr. Pogo carving up some fools. What sucks is that sometimes this can be oddly cathartic but not even this helped.
  19. I hesitated to ask considering everything is likely set in stone but I can't help but wonder if Netflix could back out of the agreement if they wanted to.
  20. I am in a good mindset all things considered and I still wouldn't recommend reading it without knowing in advance what you're getting into. It's graphic, incredibly disturbing and while not surprising considering Vince it's shocking just how vile it all is. So if you're gonna read it please keep that in mind. With Vince I'm too jaded to think this will finally be it that takes him away from all this for good. But I'm curious about who is not named that was referred to in certain situations. Assuming it makes trial it's possible some of the names might be shocking to some. Or not, who the hell knows.
  21. This is more of a general statement than anything but I just wanted to say that Lexi Nair might be the non-wrestling MVP of ROH. She's really had a chance to shine by adding things to backstage stuff without taking away from the wrestlers shine. And for all the deserved love Athena and Billie get Lexi has been a tremendous third for them to play off of.
  22. Man, I skip Collision for one weekend due to a convention and they announce Copeland/Suzuki. Maybe next time I'm out on Saturday they'll announce Copeland vs Nick Gage. Wait, I'll be out Saturday for the Rumble. So here's me unrealistically hoping this happens.
  23. I thought it worked out pretty well when they had Nakamura start in NXT. When he was called up it's a different story but he was pretty king-sized over there.
  24. Just when I thought I was out they pull me back in. I appreciated the change from TNA to Impact Wrestling in attempt to distance itself from some things they had a hard time moving past. But along the way I just stopped watching and had no reason why other than I guess time. It's almost ironic to me that changing it back to TNA and having the presentation I remember is what got me to check it again. But here I am and 15 minutes in I'm already loving it.
  25. On this episode of BTDO the Dark Order gets a substitute teacher, Colt has the scoops and Bryce doesn't care about Brandon Cutler's wiener.
