THANK YOU. I've been saying this. It is the force annoying enough to unite the Brain and Gorilla. Amazing episode. As for Marlena, apparently WWE had taken some massive heat over Goldust in the weeks before the Rumble so the idea was that 1.) Marlena coming in was a way to soften his edge and 2.) this is when they started pushing mind games over blatant homosexuality.

Is there any way notes can be made a few hours before voting opens so people can make arguments and post matches before people will vote?

Frankly, I think Goldust might have brought more to the table this year than Bryan. Lately, especially, Bryan's dropping of his selling when he goes back on offense has been troublesome to me. I don't think there are too many people on the board that wouldn't say that Goldust's FIP selling and general timing isn't better than Bryan's. Again, it might be whether you look at things on the basis of "great matches" (of which Goldust still had a good number) or general trends over matches. Or if you go with some criteria totally outside those.

I'm still hooked on that bracket. I think Regal has an argument between his amazing performance both in the Cesaro angle and their match, his announcing, his podcast appearance, his twitter feed, to be the best all around person employed by a wrestling company in the period. Brock is nitroglycerin. The raptor yell. The Miz destruction. The crazy death sprint with Big Show. Punk is underrated on the year, I think. I really liked the Heyman feud even if a lot of people didn't and I think the match vs Brock was really strong. I also like his babyface tag work late in the year a lot because he seemed to be having a lot of fun hamming it up as a hot tag and it showed. Bryan is Bryan, but Bo Dallas is a guy who might have made it to the third round if the brackets had been made a bit differently. He's just that entertaining an act.

Apparently, good karma does exist in this world. Saving the cat from the shelter has indirectly led to an old college buddy of mine that I used to go to shows with, very much against my wishes, forcing a gift subscription on me. I won't get a chance to mess with things until tonight but I feel like I've suddenly become one of the undead masses.

Sometimes it bugs me that I wasn't watching back then.

I can't either. It's a blast. It's one of the best things on WWE TV in ages.

We're spoiled and the point that Gregg missed is that this is the developmental league. These guys are going to move up and other guys who were given characters through the same methods and are trained by the same people are going to be brought in. It's a cycle that should by all rights, continue to keep the level of wrestling high for years to come.

According to Meltzer, NXT will still be on Hulu but will air on delay there on Friday nights instead of Wednesday nights. I feel all the more justified with the cat since losing NXT was my big worry.

It is. It's really back and forth but it's by and large the best match Barry ever had in WWF and worth going out of your way to see.

Again, the episode with Barlett as Vince is one of the best things in 93 easily.

Judy Martin was by far the best person in that match. I found the JBAs pretty disappointing and Martin pretty great. It's also kind of killing me that people are seeing Cesaro/Zayn 2/3 falls without seeing the 2-3 matches (if you count the tag) that built up to it since they built off of a lot of spots from the prior matches.

I'm really curious where this would be taking place. I kind of picture Mid-south for the heat they could get there.

Fuvking phone. Any who, I think Layla is the diva they mssed the boat on. I think she has more natural charisma and mic skills than most give her credit for. Laycool and AJ are probably the two most over/pushed/etc female acts they've had over the last seven years or so. Her babyface run didn't set the world on fire though.

I kind of wonder if this Mania crowd will be savvy enough that they'd crap on a match that Bryan wins but without really getting put over (which is one of Hunter's most impressive skills as a wrestler).
