We are making a huge fucking mistake and inviting my wife's mother down via greyhound so we can watch it tomorrow. It's really more for the fact it's our 5th anniversary today and we haven't been to a movie together since the baby was born two years ago next month. But this opens the door for her to come down this way again since it's the first time she's ever braved the bus and she refuses to drive the 3 hours down since she's afraid of rt. 95. If this goes south then I'm putting Big Fresh on ignore.

Man, Speed Racer was my kid's favorite movie when he was 8 and I could hardly blame him.

We have time...... I'll have to write this out when I'm working from home tomorrow and some downtime. So basically I was about 5 years old and was staying at my grandma's place for the summer with my aunts, cousins and my great-grandfather. All of my aunts and my grandmom were at work and it was just me, my one 11 year old cousin and my 14 year old aunt and my great-grandfather. We lived out in the country so it wasn't that big of a deal for us kids to roam around everywhere as we had other relatives living nearby. So I'm sitting in the living room with my great-grandfather, watching tv and he just kinda keels over and lays on the ground. Just out of nowhere. I'm 5 years old and have no clue what's going on so I get my cousin and aunt b/c they're older. They freak the fuck out b/c they think he's dead and I remember being pretty calm and saying, "hmmm, maybe we should get Aunt Earline (our retired aunt who lived next door) b/c she's grown-up and you're both still kids like me." So we get my aunt and she comes to the house and she flips out. Calls 911, calls all of our other relatives, get people to come back from work. I remember calling my one aunt who kinda ran the household. Calling her was huge b/c it was she was like the last resort b/c she could not take time off unless it was an absolute emergency. So she hauls ass back to the house. Everyone's at the house, EMT's arrive, etc. As soon as they're about to start doing CPR and all that, my great-grandfather no sold everything and did what can best be described as an Undertaker sit-up and goes, "I just wanted to see if ya'll loved granddaddy". My aunt read him the fucking riot act and the EMTs went nuts but what can you really do to an 85 year old dude? The gif of Teddy Long's heart attack is exactly how he fell out of his chair. Frankly, I'm offended it took you the better part of the year since you've joined to tell us this story. Gregg tells us daily stories about trips to the DMV and the first time he figured out how to piss standing up and here you've been sitting on this for this long.

Why? Do you want to watch them solve crimes or hunt vampires or something?

[WWE NETWORK] Technical and General Content Question/Comments
Matt D replied to RIPPA's topic in WWE PROGRAMMING
I'm not saying EVERY married person watches the food network but it's pretty close. -
Dude, Ambrose has been getting all WWE jacked for awhile now. It's why he's been sleeveless for awhile. He knows what the score is in the big time and he's "showing off his guns".Oh and all the wrestlers who've said "I would've given MMA/ UFC a chance instead of wrestling" are just wrestlers clinging to some bit of kayfabe to come off as real life tough fighters. ~Johnny....who answers things from the past of threads. To be fair, you still think it's 1976.

My guess is that you found Godzilla, which is also a movie that is not about the title character but its effect on the world around him from a human perspective more because Godzilla doesn't actually have much of a personality, except for pissed off and occasionally vaguely heroic and pissed off. They did a transformers movie and made the transformers ciphers.

I think the reboot is pure BS, but we'll see.

The big difference is that DC can manage 1 or 2 franchises, sputteringly, and Marvel has two movies a year? The JL movie was a bust. The WW movie was a bust. The WW TV show was a bust. Green Lantern bombed, etc. I have no real interest in Batman vs Superman. The Superman they presented sure as hell isn't the one I care about (But then neither is the Donner version, really), but i hope for the sake of everyone involved, they have a real plan here.

I'm curious if people will really get hooked into the "THIS IS ONE BIG STORY" aspect of the Marvel Movies. There's not really ever been anything like it in hollywood, has there? Where you two movies a year that are all part of an ongoing tapestry and that all "Count." This is uncharted territory using the most addictive aspect of comics to get there.

I was making a list of the few wrestlers in the world I'd call "least favorite" and my list was pretty much RVD and Angle. Maybe he's got 100000x the cardio and natural athleticism or whatever. I don't think he's 100000x the worker Harvey Whippleman is.

The first song the baby ever responded to was this: While I was showing the then 11 year old Bill and Ted's for the first time.

The Robinson match is a pretty amazingly framed spectacle when it comes to protecting Robinson. He takes most of the first fall and the first brunt of the second, including a couple of big power moves, with Abdullah making him look like a million bucks (which admittedly, he was) until the freak knee accident happens. Even after that and the awesome mauling by Abdullah, once they finally get him back into the ring, he fights like a champ while selling the knee like a king. It makes Abdullah's gloating post match all the more awesome. I'd have paid good money for a rematch at the time.

Mike should write an article about this for some wrestling website. -
Yeah, right at the beginning. If they're not planning on filling them or they don't have good tapes or what not, then just let us know.
-
Meltz is way too anti-Bo. "One tenth as good as Kurt Angle's gimmick," or whatever.
-
Wait, they added 100 new episodes and they still don't have the gaps filled in?
-
I don't like secondary mutations in general. I do think for a movie adaptation, a character's personality is maybe more important than their powers and they can do whatever so long as things are well established. Frankly, just imagine that there was some crazy battle with the High Evolutionary, Sauron, and the Warpies off screen before the movie which caused the change in powers.
