  1. Hiddleston is the only reason I'm still watching and it's just for his acting. Hate the character Loki has become. Give me an anti-hero instead of a pushover with very little agency. He's basically Season 8 Jon Snow right now. Sylvie annoys me to no end. All of her anger is misplaced and she just brings down every scene she is in. Major's Victor Timely portrayal seems like the producers told him "Hey, can you be a slightly different version of He Who Remains but find a way to make all your speeches take even longer so we can fill up time?" Couldn't have made me dislike hot chocolate more. Loved him running out to fix everything. I just don't care about most of the characters and Kang has become a joke. Renslayer is why everything was the way it was? How can we be scared of any other version of Kang knowing someone with no powers or abilities was apparently the downfall of all of them? Maybe the final two episodes will change my mind, but this just feels like Season 1 where we had the big "OH MY GOD" moment in episode 4, they spend episode 5 showing everything is ok and tease something big, and episode 6 is the "this changes everything" moment which won't have all that much impact.
  2. Scrap it all. Get better writers. Get better showrunners (or showrunners period). Stop needlessly changing the characters. Make compelling stories. If the project involves fighting, please allow enough time to train all involved so they look competent (more Hayden Christiansen commitment and fluidity and less Rosario Dawson reciting each step in her head). Make better villains. Keep Charlie Cox as Daredevil and D'Onofrio as Kingpin. These are my suggestions. I expect them to do less than half.
  3. I guess seeing Clone Wars and Rebels is needed because this is all very boring to me. Don't care about most of these characters. The best one, Baylan, unfortunately, won't be back. The fights are lackluster at best (my goodness can they ever hire good stunt coordinators?) and nobody since ROTJ (maybe Rogue One) can do a space battle well. Is anyone aware there is a Z-axis and it's possible to hover a ship? I don't see how they will be able to make the movie interesting when everything leading up to it is so mediocre.
  4. So G'iah has the powers of: Gamora, Winter Soldier, Captain America, Ghost, Abomination, Captain Marvel, Mantis, Proxima Midnight, Corvus Glaive, Cull Obsidian, Ebony Maw, Thanos, Drax, Korg, Valkyrie, Hulk, Thor, Groot, Extremis, an Outrider, a Chitauri, and a Frost Beast. What is the point of any other hero now? Just have her fight Kang. Oh, and if you have seen any trailer for The Marvels you know that their powers are connected so does that mean G'iah is connected to them as well? No, because the writers didn't pay attention or didn't know and are terrible. This show was full of terrible writing. Gravik was a terrible villain. He wanted Fury to suffer, then wanted him dead, but he actually didn't want him dead even though he told Fury's wife to kill him, but he actually didn't want her to kill him and knew that she wouldn't, and then got mad that she didn't follow his instructions and sent people to kill her. What if she did kill Fury? No Harvest (a thing we didn't find out about until the end of episode 5) for Gravik if that's the case. Does he get mad at her for following his orders? Again, terrible writing. The only well written character was Olivia Coleman's. After the strike the only writer that should even be considered for another job in Marvel should be the one that wrote for her. Or just fire that person and trust Coleman can just spin straw into gold. Fury was, once again, a legacy character written as an old, washed up main character who nobody respects, only got to where he is because other people did things for him and should hang things up. G'iah was written as some emotionless emo (I get the contradiction) who in episode 1 was party to killing 6000 innocent people, told her father his whole plan and ideals sucked, and now are we supposed to care about her? Everyone else was forgettable. Final thing: All of the humans kept in the Skrull base should be dead from radiation poison. How do you have "Fury" dying of radiation poisoning in such a short time and the whole point of the place being that humans couldn't go there and then right after that show humans being kept there? Oh yeah, writers for Marvel recently have sucked.
  5. Not familiar with that so had to look it up. I'm all for it. Bring out the crazy stuff. I want every character on screen to be how they were in the comics. Don't clean up any of it. Need more flashy outfits like that.
  6. How did I tell on myself? Where in that did I say I was offended? I was pointing out how it was cynical to write your show in a way that would get people mad on purpose and at the same time make those people that criticize the show the villains. They wasted some potentially great characters like Mallory and Titania to mock a small group on the internet. That isn't entertaining. They set up some good conflict between Mallory and Jen by Jen worrying if people would think she got her job because of She-Hulk and Mallory initially being offended Jen was hired when she worked hard for her job. That lasted maybe an episode. Titania could have been a better foil instead of what we got. Yeah, the "Marvel Formula" has gotten pretty stale but I would have preferred that to this. "Werewolf By Night" showed they have the ability to do something different that is fun and somewhat edgier. A good fight between a better represented Wrecking Crew and She-Hulk and Daredevil would have given us the Hulk smash stuff we haven't had in a while and would bring the great Daredevil fighting we remember. I was just hoping for something better than what we got.
  7. You summed up my reaction to the show right there. Thank you.
  8. Found this to be fun. Jack and Ted are a great duo. Liked the hunters Jovan and Liorn and liked Verussa. Something about Elsa's character didn't let me connect to her early on. Felt like they wrote her partway through a story arc that they didn't explain well enough to back up her attitude. They hinted that she didn't learn her skills from Ulysses, but then didn't elaborate where she learned to fight. If you want to tell me Blade or Devil-Slayer taught her I'd be fine with that. Fights were quick and bloody and hope these characters can come back and go nuts. In fact, just scrap a lot of stuff coming out and bring in the weird and mystic like Jericho Drumm, Sleepwalker, Sebastian Druid, Jennifer Kale, Machine Man and more.
  9. Agree with all points. I feel like I would like Andor a lot more if it wasn't starring Andor. I find his character boring and don't like his acting. I find most of the other characters more compelling. Bring back Bix, Nurchi and Brasso and leave Andor off to the side.
  10. She-Hulk sucked. Bad writing excused by saying they meant it to be bad. If you want something that 4th wall breaking you do it in the middle of the season where you have threads going and She-Hulk can ask the writers "Are you really going to have x do y? Also, why would I say this one episode and then contradict myself the next?" That way you have it be fun where Jen wants to know what's going to happen and you can purposefully put one contradiction in to address it during this scene. Instead they have terrible plots and inconsistent characters and end it with "Hah, got you incels who can't have sex with women because you are incels and you are probably white" and just tie it up with a terrible bow of cameos they mocked all the time. It was the most cynical of all the shows and was all about mocking fans of comics. Just because someone doesn't like your work doesn't make them a troll. A troll would be someone who doesn't care about the franchise and just wants to piss you off. This should could have been a fine legal comedy if they actually took the time to find writers who could pull it off. Phase 4 has been full of subpar content and I don't see much in the future to look forward to.
  11. Wong was about to be charged with kidnapping or aiding and abetting a prisoner escaping and he was back in the next episode like nothing had happened. All Titania did was destroy government property (after running from something she could have just skipped) and committed attempted murder on multiple jurors. They tend to gloss over a lot of things. This last episode should have been titled "Jen Learns About Tailors". Pug's whole demeanor has changed so much from episode to episode that it feels like he was written as a lot of different characters and they just combined it all into one person before filming. This show just isn't for me. I find nothing about it funny and the writers were correct saying they couldn't write court scenes because it shows with how awful those scenes are. I mean goodness at least talk to someone familiar with courtrooms or at the very least get tips from a writer on Boston Legal. I'll watch one more for Daredevil but I'm probably out after that. Also hoping the suit made by Luke for Daredevil is a one off because Melvin Potter is such a great character and I hope just like some other cast members from the original show he is back.
  12. Agreed on Taskmaster. Deadpool in Wolverine: Origins level of destroying a character. Can't believe with all the negativity towards the portrayal that they are bringing her back. Tony Masters would work so much better in this group.
  13. I feel like this show started as a Pakistani version of "Fresh Off the Boat" meets "Clarissa Explains It All" and someone slapped some Marvel paint on it. All things in the show related to Marvel felt tacked on and rushed. She had little control over her power and with zero training was able to master it no problem. Plus her power origins are all over the place. She got it from the bracelet, she had it awakened by the bracelet, she is part Djinn so that's why she has the powers, and now she is a mutant and that's why she has the powers? They undercut the mutant thing in the same breath they mentioned it by saying she can use her powers because she is Djinn. So what does being a mutant matter if she can use her powers because she is Djinn? Beyond those powers she was getting killed in dodgeball and then was able to swing from lampposts and do "Tobey going down the stairs in Spiderman" moves with her powers. ClanDestine was pointless and the DoDC was incompetent from the start. By the way, is Kamran a mutant? I did like Kamala and her interactions with Bruno, Nakia and her family. I just think this would have worked better as an ABC half hour comedy about a Pakistani family living in Jersey and focused on their youngest daughter trying to find her place in the world. All the Marvel stuff felt lazy and ruined all pacing and made the editing seem sudden and awful. If you liked it that's fine, but I feel this suffered like all the other shows from poor writing. You look at the resumes of the writers and see they have barely done anything and how all the D+ series stumble (save for Wandavision for the most part) because these writers aren't up to the task. Give me seasoned writers and Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, a better Iron Fist, Ghost Rider, Blade, a Moon Knight where we actually see the fights, Punisher, and real mutants.
  14. Almost all aspects of it are mediocre to terrible. The directing, the acting, the script, and the set pieces are all lacking. This show shouldn't have been made. One of the writers on the show didn't know Anakin was Vader, so they don't even have people that care about the story working on it. Can't wait to find out why Leia refers to Kenobi as someone that "fought with her father in the Clone Wars" and not "guy who saved me twice 9 years ago". This episode was just so boring and made no sense. They copied both Fallen Order and A New Hope with the water coming in and the "I let them get away because I put a tracker on them" stuff. The fact Vader hasn't snapped Reva's neck yet is crazy. Officers were killed for screwing up less than her.
  15. I feel the opposite way about Alaqua. Has she done anything other than scowl? The young girl that played Maya had way more expression. I don't see anything that shows she can carry her own show. Kaz is 10x more interesting. Would make more sense for her to be a special guest in a Daredevil show or how she is in Hawkeye. In regards to Bishop I prefer the more subdued Kate over the "15-year-old fangirl" Kate. Her getting excited is fine, but it tends to cross over to annoying a little too often in my opinion. Excited about Yelena and the implications of the watch. Oh, and this is just an idea, but I'm pretty sure Kate's mom got in touch with de Fontaine and that's why Yelena showed up when she did and shook her head at Kate.
  16. Technically that was Gwen Stacy, but the idea is still solid. And I think Dane Dehaan's Goblin is in this one since they show someone on a glider in a very fast cut but it isn't Norman.
  17. I think they should have used a different Kang for this. Now, I haven't read any comics with him so I'm not comparing anything from them to this performance. I just think this version of Kang (if we anticipate other variants to show up in other projects) should have been used for Ant-Man. More of a whimsical villain for Scott to bounce quips off of. This one should have been the tired old man he claimed he was instead of upbeat and a sort of Riddler/Joker. Something with more weight to it while not going full Conqueror. Show some frustration and anger with all the work he has done and still things can fall into chaos. His "You're welcome" would have hit harder if it was done in a more subdued Nicholson from "A Few Good Men" sort of way. Could just be me. Sort of only looking forward to Moon Knight and Dr. Strange going forward unless casting news or trailers sway me. If casting rumors for Hawkeye are correct that could also be fun.
  18. That's actually Don Lee as Gilgamesh, not Wong. No Kit Harrington in the trailer (at least that I saw) so he either has a small part or is quite important or both. I think I'm most looking forward to Black Knight coming out of this and opening up Excalibur.
  19. Now we just need someone cast as Rogue and I may actually look forward to this one. Seeing Monica in WandaVision makes me instantly prefer her as being Captain and Rogue would be able to help along that transition. And who would Zawe be cast as? Moonstone?
  20. As exciting as Rogue Squadron sounds, I have been disappointed with every space battle in Star Wars after Endor. That battle still gives me chills and makes me care about every rebel that dies no matter how little screen time they have. Nothing has been able to match the emotion of Admiral Piett yelling "Intensify forward fire power!" right before a screaming pilot in an A-wing crashes through the command deck. Go old school with the filming of the battles or give me some Dunkirk-style dogfights. Hell, do both. And make Wedge the hero he should be.
  21. Sweet, no invite and didn't get confirmation on any site. Guess I wait for the second wave. So stupid.
  22. I'm torn. Would love to only spend 400 bucks, but my PS4 keeps spitting out discs and I have a few games on disc I have either not started or have started and not finished. So is it worth spending the extra hundred bucks to play Death Stranding, Nier Automata, Final Fantasy XII, Wolfenstein 2, and South Park 2 on disc or save the 100 bucks? Wait, can I even play those games on disc on PS5? Even though I own some of the PS+ games we get with PS5 I am liking getting Monster Hunter and The Last Guardian for "free".
  23. I don't think the Night King was setting a trap. The reason the dead weren't attacking is because a good number of them fell through the ice and the Night King prevented them from continuing to "drown". They only attacked after The Hound threw the second rock and it glided over the ice showing it had frozen over. The fact dragons came was just luck/fate for the Night King. The spear didn't look much different than his generals main weapons.
  24. It was Bronn because earlier after avoiding the dragon fire he looked up and saw a white horse without a rider and used that to get to Jamie.
