  1. Peak vs. Peak, Moss. But TO was better consistently.
  2. There was an awesome level of viscous "I'm trying to hurt you" from both guys in Bryan/Orton that I loved.
  3. Lauper makes sense. They worked with her again fairly recently for that angle with Heath Slater, she's enjoyed a bit of a popular resurgence, and literally as I was typing this, a question about her just came up on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?...
  4. Not totally sold on the story yet, but goddamn the acting is fucking incredible.
  5. Hell man, Pistons aren't that far removed from being good and leading the league in attendance several years in a row...
  6. Wasn't Bret the Champ when Pierre stole his jacket or whatever they were feuding over? Fairly sure that was during Nash's title run.
  7. Yeah, saying Peter King is right is always a painful experience.
  8. Anybody see Bullet to the Head? It's On Demand, but I haven't decided if it's worth taking a look or not.
  9. Well, I don't necessarily agree with "he's not a hall of famer" but I do agree that definitely Harrison and probably Brown are more deserving.
  10. I hate myself for saying this: On the particular issue of Andre Reed, I kinda sorta agree with Peter King.
  11. Tim Brayton has a very nice retrospective/list of best performances (in his view, of course) up: http://antagonie.blogspot.com/2014/02/ten-for-monday-in-memoriam-philip.html
  12. I think Punk took about three weeks off, not three months. Didn't miss a ppv.
  13. Christ that scene... There are only two movies that have ever given me a migraine that made me nauseous enough to leave a movie theater: Quantum of Solace and Silent Hill. I guess it shows you how long it's been since I've seen Quantum of Solace (opening weekend in theater), but I remember that chase scene being the best part of the film. It is literally the worst edited scene I can remember seeing, for my money.
  14. Yup, tv contracts go to road team for non conference games.
  15. Denver always chooses to take the ball when they win the toss anyway.
  16. It was almost like revisiting my childhood, watching the NFC just beat the hell out of the AFC.
  17. https://twitter.com/Seahawks/statuses/430174488420839425
  18. Peyton Manning set records for single season yards, touchdowns, passing first downs, completions in the Super Bowl, and career playoff loses. #SeasonForTheAges
  19. I don't know. I mean, he didn't go on the same kind of insane run Flacco did last year. Flacco had arguably the best playoff run ever by a QB last year.
  20. Ultimately, no one remembered the three SB losses John Elway had. Different circumstances, mind you, but time does create a fuzzy memory. Timing is everything. (And, of course, Peyton is, afaik, not retiring, so he may very well get another shot) but Elway's career fits a redemption narrative so incredibly well. By ending with the two wins, he re-contextualized the three loses.
  21. I was pretty confident that Seattle was going to win, but damn did I not see it going down like this.
  22. Wait, did Troy Aikman just essentially say that Ty Law and Darrelle Revis weren't shut-down corners?
  23. "I don't think this ultimately affects how he is remembered whatsoever." Yeah, because that's how sports punditry works.
  24. At least this year starting the mvp voting half way through the 4th quarter doesn't mean the game is completely up in the air.
  25. They had to ADR that ScarJo commercial to take out her saying "sorry Coke and Pepsi." EDIT: SirFozzie beat me to it.
