  1. It brings to mind the idea of Comfort Food Wrestling (which I, for one, could use a great deal of). What are your go-tos for taking away the blues? Honestly that tag is perfect because it sucks you right into the story and you stop thinking about all the other horseshit going on, I've actually used it recently myself. I'm sure this will be a list of people's favorite matches or stuff they watched when they were a kid, but who cares, shoot.
  2. Oh and thankfully my Dio Rainbow collection got completed last year!
  3. I could go for a copy of Holy Diver on LP for sure. That Rules of Hell boxset just makes me drool reading about it, wow. Matter of fact, I could also go for another copy of Black Sabbath's first (my copy was given to me from a friend and it's seriously beat to shit) and Live Evil (which was one I snagged from a buddy at a record store for free because it had water damage or something that ripped up the whole top of the gatefold). As far as the amounts of a single band in my collection go, it'd have to be BOC; I have everything, studio and live, up until The Revolution By Night (yuck). If Jane Live shows up at one of our local joints I'll let you know. Seems like something one of them would get in stock.
  4. In addition to those last three records I've now got THESE coming from my old buddy Mike (Zuul/High Spirits). Fucking pay day makes me splurge every time Spoilered for badly painted nudity and Satanic sacrifice
  5. Oh man, I've never heard that Hammersmith recording. AND I don't have Mob Rules on LP either; it was actually something I asked my best friend to try and find for me for my birthday but it was probably way out of his price range after he looked it up on Discogs. He ended up getting me Blood Fire Death by Bathory so I can't complain. Those deluxe editions are the double LP sets, right? He was thinking about dipping his toe in the water and grabbing those (he's a Sabbath newbie -- a punk guy getting into metal still) but the price turned him off. Sabotage should be in my back room right now and I have no clue why not. It's probably my favorite next to Vol. 4. Or Paranoid. Or Master. Or Heaven and Hell. It all depends on the day really
  6. Fuck finishes almost straight across the board! Good old WWF. It's crazy to see how long their affiliation with USA Network has gone back, btw. Andre's crutches must've been cut-down telephone poles or something.
  7. And you know it's the GM and the bartender trying to make it look like SOMEBODY's there
  8. Because it is his birthday, and the world is now more Lynchian than ever, I give you "Crazy Clown Time". NOT SAFE FOR WORK, buckos.
  9. I told you I'm out but thank you for remembering I had my ear up at one point in time. Couldn't even get a top ten going... I am a sad, sad man
  10. Dammit, I really want Technical Ecstasy. But then I still don't have Sabotage and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (in order of preference) on vinyl either so hey, first thing's first. Of course because I'm getting paid tomorrow my addiction went into overdrive and I ordered Candlemass - Nightfall, Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, and Witchfinder General - Death Penalty (!) on LP today. They're all going to befit the current winter season so I can't really say it's a bad thing.
  11. I want to strangle whoever edited that new Gold trailer to reference the abomination later today. Some things just aren't funny.
  12. I think at this point I can be described as a cornfield commuter because I didn't know anything about it. Whenever I drive down University (or for fuck's sake, Green) my head spins. The isolation is truly palpable. I miss my C-U that wasn't 45% awful bars owned by three different people, 45% highrise apartment buildings owned by competing corporations, and 10% what I remember of my home. ANYWAY, just to keep this on theme the Shinsuke shirt is amazing!
  13. Something video game related just came out that probably isn't. Reminds me, he was in Brooklyn's Finest and I forgot about that for the longest time. Love that movie.
  14. I remember when the very first episode of Power Rangers came on after school and I was all excited to watch it, watched it, then proclaimed to my parents "eh, it's like they took Transformers and Voltron and mixed it together. It's okay" Boy I was a little smark bastard even then
  15. Sadly, that's just life in the big city. RIP
  16. God, the visions just get worse -- now I'm imagining Orton dressed up like Justin Credible, complete with shaved head and goatee... Ugh, I think my lunch is coming up
  17. I knew I shouldn't have used the term "tank"
  18. That just makes me think of Batista's film career tanking after GOTG 2 and he comes back as a Wyatt
  19. Yeah, flat paint over those glasses means zero visibility; they've gotta have found some other way. I've been to one horror con in Rosemont, IL years ago and though it was fun, I'll probably never go to another one. Those things are ready and waiting to have you emptying your wallet and maxing out your credit cards. It also kind of sucked being right under the entryway to O'Hare Airport while watching Day of the Dead on a drive-in theater screen.
  20. Tony Halme in that reminds me of Alexander Koslov's cameo as a thug in season two of The Wire
  21. You know if Orton found some denim it would be skinny jeans. Hard to wrestle in those.
